As an example, referring to fig. 3, along the length direction X, an opening 12 is provided at one end of the case 10 adjacent to the 1 st electrode assembly 20, one end adjacent to the n-th electrode assembly 20 is a closed end, a plurality of electrode assemblies 20 are located in the case 10, an end cover 30 is provided at the opening 12, a positive terminal 41 may be provided at the end cover 30, the positive terminal 41 is connected with a positive tab 211 of the 1 st electrode assembly 20, a negative electrode connection part 11 is a first face 101 of the case 10 adjacent to the n-th electrode assembly 20, and a negative electrode tab 212 of the n-th electrode assembly 20 abuts against the first face 101, thereby realizing negatively charging of the case 10.
Of course, the positive electrode terminal 41 may be provided in the case 10 and insulated from the case 10, instead of the end cap 30.
In some embodiments, the case 10 includes two first faces 101 opposite along the first direction X and second faces 102 adjacent and connected to the first faces 101, respectively, the positive electrode terminal 41 and the negative electrode connection portion 11 are located at the two first faces 101, respectively, or referring to fig. 7, one of the positive electrode terminal 41 and the negative electrode connection portion 11 is located at one of the two first faces 101, and the other is located at the second face 102.
In some embodiments, referring to fig. 8, the interconnected positive electrode tabs 211 and the interconnected negative electrode tabs 212 of two adjacent electrode assemblies 20 each include a first welding region 201 and a second welding region 202 located at the first welding region 201, the first welding region 201 on the positive electrode tab 211 is used to weld a plurality of positive electrode tabs of the positive electrode tab 211, the first welding region 201 on the negative electrode tab 212 is used to weld a plurality of negative electrode tabs of the negative electrode tab 212, the second welding region 202 on the positive electrode tab 211 is used to weld the positive electrode tab 211 of two adjacent electrode assemblies 20, and the second welding region 202 on the negative electrode tab 212 is used to weld the negative electrode tab 212 of two adjacent electrode assemblies 20.
The plurality of positive electrode tabs of the positive electrode tab 211 and the plurality of negative electrode tabs of the negative electrode tab 212 may be subjected to a pre-welding process (e.g., ultrasonic welding), first welding lands 201 are formed on the positive electrode tab 211 and the negative electrode tab 212, and then the interconnected positive electrode tab 211 and the interconnected negative electrode tab 212 are respectively finish-welded in the respective first welding lands 201 by ultrasonic welding or laser welding, thereby forming the second welding lands 202.
The first welding area 201 is formed through pre-welding, and the second welding area 201 is formed through final welding in the first welding area 201, so that the risk of tab cold joint can be reduced or avoided, and the connection reliability is improved.
In some embodiments, a holder 50 is disposed between adjacent two electrode assemblies 20, the holder 50 having a receiving space for receiving the positive electrode tab 211 and the negative electrode tab 212, the holder 50 being for supporting the electrode assemblies 20.
