Example 1
As can be seen from fig. 2 and 3, the large-capacity battery of the present embodiment includes a case 1 and unit cells 2 arranged in the case 1.
In this embodiment, the unit cells 2 are square-shell cells, and the number of the unit cells is 13, and in other embodiments, the number of the unit cells can be adjusted according to actual requirements. Each of the cells 2 has an inner chamber including an electrolyte region and a gas region.
For convenience of description, the length direction of the housing 1 is defined as the x direction, the width direction of the housing 1 is defined as the y direction, the height direction of the housing 1 is defined as the z direction, and the housing 1 is disassembled into a cylinder 11 having both ends open and an end plate 12 covering the open end of the cylinder 11.
In the case bottom plate 14 (cylinder bottom plate), an electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is provided along the x direction, and the inner cavity of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is communicated with the electrolyte areas in the inner cavities of the individual cells 2.
In the case top plate 13 (cylinder top plate), a gas sharing chamber 4 is provided along the x direction, and the inner cavity of the gas sharing chamber 4 communicates with the gas area of the inner cavity of each unit cell 2.
In other embodiments, only the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 or the gas sharing chamber 4 may be provided, or a gas-liquid sharing chamber may be provided on the side wall of the housing 1 along the x direction, and the inner cavity of the gas-liquid sharing chamber is communicated with the electrolyte area and the gas area of the inner cavity of each single battery 2.
The electrolyte sharing chamber 3 of this embodiment is a liquid channel disposed on the bottom plate 14 of the casing, and the specific structure can be seen in fig. 4, 5 and 6:
Fig. 4 is a partial structural view of the large-capacity battery case 1 of the present embodiment, that is, a structural view of the can 11; FIG. 5 is a schematic view of the structure of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 formed by adding a bottom support 9 to the cylinder 11 of FIG. 4; fig. 6 is a schematic view of the structure of the bottom support 9 of the present embodiment;
As can be seen from fig. 4, the left and right ends of the cylinder 11 in this embodiment are open, and can be integrally formed by an aluminum extrusion process.
In fig. 5, a bottom support 9 is fixed inside the cylinder 11, which bottom support 9 has mainly the following two functions:
1. Raising each single battery 2 so that the polar terminal 5 of each single battery 2 extends out of the avoidance hole 6 of the housing top plate 13;
2. Each unit cell 2 is supported, and a liquid channel is formed between the bottom of each unit cell 2 and the bottom of each unit cell as an electrolyte sharing chamber 3.
As can be seen in connection with fig. 3, an electrolyte-sharing chamber 3 is formed between the bottom support 9 of the present embodiment and the bottom of each unit cell 2.
As can be seen from fig. 6, the bottom support 9 of this embodiment is made of aluminum material, and its main body is a flat plate, and the shape and size of the flat plate are adapted to the shape and size of the bottom plate 14 of the housing. The lower surface of the flat plate is provided with a second support rib 92 extending in the x direction, and the upper surface of the flat plate is provided with a first support rib 91 extending in the x direction.
In this embodiment, two second supporting ribs 92 have a main function of raising each single battery 2, so that the polarity terminal 5 of each single battery 2 extends out of the avoidance hole 6 of the top plate 13 of the housing.
As can be seen in connection with fig. 3, the bottom support 9 is placed in the cylinder 11 between the individual cells 2 and the housing floor 14.
In the process of assembling the large-capacity battery, the port of the channel 19 formed between the bottom support member 9 and the bottom plate 14 of the housing needs to be sealed by the baffle 18 to prevent the electrolyte from flowing into the channel, so that the electrolyte consumption of the whole large-capacity battery is increased (as shown in fig. 3).
In addition, the edges of the bottom support 9 in the x-direction should be sealed against the side walls of the cylinder parallel to the xz-plane, avoiding electrolyte infiltration into the channels. Sealing of the two can be realized by adding a sealing strip or sealant; the channels can be filled with light materials, the channels are filled, the light materials are not required to react with electrolyte, solid columns made of PP materials can be selected, and compared with aluminum materials, the cost is lower. Even if there is a gap between the bottom support 9 and the side wall of the cylinder parallel to the xz plane, no excessive electrolyte will enter the channel as it has been filled.
In other embodiments, the same objective can be achieved by thickening the plate size, but with higher material costs relative to the present embodiment, the overall high capacity battery is made to have a greater dead weight. In this embodiment, the second supporting ribs 92 are provided, so that the thickness of the flat plate can be reduced as much as possible on the premise of meeting the supporting strength, the material cost is reduced, and the dead weight of the large-capacity battery is reduced.
In this embodiment, the number of the first supporting ribs 91 is three, each supporting rib extends along the x direction, and the three supporting ribs are uniformly arranged along the y direction, so that in order to improve the electrolyte sharing effect, the first supporting rib 91 in the middle is provided with notches 911, and the liquid channels on two sides of the first supporting rib are ensured to be mutually communicated.
The structure of the unit cell 2 corresponding to the electrolyte-sharing chamber 3 of such a structure is as shown in fig. 7 and 8:
In this embodiment, two first through holes 161 are formed in the lower cover plate 16 of the unit cell, and the two first through holes 161 are arranged along the y direction and are symmetrical to each other. Sealing the two first through holes 161 with the sealing assembly 10; after the unit cell 2 is mounted in the cylindrical body 11, the two first through holes 161 are located directly above the two liquid passages, respectively, and the sealing unit 10 can be detached from the lower cover plate or an opening penetrating the first through holes 161 is formed in the sealing unit 10 to penetrate the liquid passages by an external force or an external electrolyte (the external electrolyte here means an electrolyte located outside the unit cell 2).
As can be seen from fig. 7, in this embodiment, two first through holes 161 are located on two sides of the lower cover plate 16 of the battery cell, when the battery cell inside the battery cell 2 is a rolled core formed by rolling, a larger space is formed between the side wall of the thickness direction of the housing of the battery cell 2 and the rolled core, and the first through holes 161 are close to two sides of the lower cover plate 16 of the battery cell, firstly, when the first through holes 161 are formed, no influence is exerted on the internal battery cell structure, and secondly, after the sealing assembly 10 of the part is opened, the electrolyte in the inner cavity of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 can better enter the inner cavity of the battery cell 2.
The size of the first through hole 161 needs to satisfy the following conditions:
1. The first through hole 161 cannot be too large so as to ensure that the whole single battery lower cover plate 16 has certain strength, and the single battery 2 is prevented from being scrapped due to poor strength of the single battery lower cover plate 16 before the sealing assembly 10 at the position of the first through hole 161 is opened;
2. The first through hole 161 cannot be too small, so that after the sealing assembly 10 at the position of the first through hole 161 is opened, the electrolyte areas in the inner cavities of the single batteries 2 are smoothly communicated with the inner cavities of the electrolyte sharing chambers 3, and good sharing effect is ensured.
The sealing assembly 10 in this embodiment may adopt a sealing film disclosed in chinese patent CN 218525645U; two types of sealing films are disclosed in the patent, and one type of sealing film can be dissolved in electrolyte; another type of sealing membrane can be opened by an external force.
The sealing film which can be dissolved in the electrolyte is generally required to be arranged on one side of the sealing film facing the inside of the shell of the single battery 2, and the protective film is insoluble in the electrolyte, and falls off when the sealing film is dissolved in the electrolyte.
When the sealing film is adopted, the liquid path unpacking can be carried out through the following process:
After the assembly of the large-capacity battery is completed, the sealing films at the two first through holes 161 can be automatically dissolved from the outside after the electrolyte is injected into the electrolyte sharing chamber 3; because the protective film and the lower cover plate 16 of the single battery do not adopt any fixing mode, after the sealing film is dissolved, the protective film can automatically fall off from the cover plate, so that the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is communicated with the inner cavity of the single battery 2, the electrolytes of all the single batteries 2 are in the same system, and the electrolyte sharing effect is achieved. In this embodiment, even if the sealing film at one first through hole 161 is not completely dissolved during the unpacking process, the electrolyte sharing effect can be achieved through the other first through hole 161 (the first through hole 161 sealing film is dissolved).
The sealing film which can be opened under the action of external force is adopted, the traction ring can be arranged on the sealing film generally, and the traction ring is pulled by the external force, so that an opening is formed at the sealing film.
The liquid path unpacking can be carried out by the following steps:
After the assembly of the large-capacity battery is completed, the traction ring is pulled by the traction tool, and each sealing film is torn or falls off from the first through hole 161, so that the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is communicated with the inner cavity of the single battery 2, the electrolytes of all the single batteries 2 are in the same system, and the electrolyte sharing effect is achieved. In the unpacking process, even if the sealing film at one first through hole 161 is not torn or peeled off, the electrolyte sharing effect can be achieved by the other first through hole 161 (the sealing film of the first through hole 161 is torn or entirely peeled off).
In other embodiments, one or more than two first through holes 161 may be formed in the lower cell cover plate 16, where one first through hole 161 is located generally in the geometric center of the lower cell cover plate 16, and where two or more than two first through holes 161 are located, each first through hole 161 may be uniformly distributed on the lower cell cover plate 16. The size of the first through hole 161 still needs to satisfy the above two conditions. Meanwhile, the position of the first supporting rib 91 needs to be adjusted according to the position of the first through hole 161 of the unit cell 2, for example, when there is one first through hole 161 and the first through hole 161 is located at the geometric center of the lower cover plate 16 of the unit cell, only two first supporting ribs 91 may be provided, and a liquid channel is formed between the two first supporting ribs 91 and is communicated with the first through hole 161 of the unit cell 2.
In other embodiments, the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 shown in fig. 9 may be further used, that is, the supporting ribs are directly disposed on the bottom plate 14 of the casing along the x direction, a liquid channel is formed between the two supporting ribs, and as the electrolyte sharing chamber 3, the supporting ribs also have the following two functions:
1. Raising each single battery 2 so that the polar terminal 5 of each single battery 2 extends out of the avoidance hole 6 of the housing top plate 13;
2. Each unit cell 2 is supported, and a liquid channel is formed between the bottom of each unit cell 2 and the bottom of each unit cell as an electrolyte sharing chamber 3.
However, compared with the present embodiment, the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 formed by the present embodiment has a larger size in the z direction, so that the electrolyte consumption of the large-capacity battery is larger, and the cost is higher.
Specifically, in the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 shown in fig. 9, in the z direction, the size of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is equal to the size of the supporting ribs, so that the volume of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is larger, and the amount of electrolyte in the whole electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is more (it should be noted that, because the lower cover plate 16 of each single battery is not in a sealed arrangement with the supporting ribs, the electrolyte can also diffuse into the cavity formed between the two supporting ribs and the casing 1 from the gap between the two), thereby increasing the cost of such a large-capacity battery.
In the utility model, two types of supporting ribs are arranged on the same supporting piece, the first type of supporting ribs mainly play a role in constructing the electrolyte sharing chamber 3, and the second type of supporting ribs mainly play a role in lifting each single battery 2, so that the height of the first type of supporting ribs in the z direction can be reduced as much as possible, the volume of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is reduced, and the electrolyte consumption is further reduced. Because the height of the first type supporting ribs in the z direction is reduced, the polarity terminals 5 of the single batteries can not extend out of the corresponding avoidance holes 6 smoothly, and at the moment, the polarity terminals 5 of the single batteries can be ensured to extend out of the corresponding avoidance holes 6 smoothly by increasing the height of the second type supporting ribs in the z direction. As is apparent from fig. 6, the first support rib 91 of the present utility model has a smaller size than the second support rib 92 in the z-direction. Therefore, the utility model is based on the bottom support 9, and can ensure that the single battery polar terminal 5 extends out of the corresponding avoiding hole 6 of the shell top plate 13 on the premise of smaller volume of the electrolyte sharing chamber.
The gas sharing chamber 4 in this embodiment is a gas channel disposed on the top plate 13 of the housing, as shown in fig. 4 and 5, and the top plate 13 of the housing is provided with a protrusion extending along the x direction, and the gas channel extending along the x direction is formed at the protrusion portion, and the gas channel can be formed by simultaneous extrusion while the cylinder 11 is processed by an aluminum extrusion process.
The structure of the unit cell 2 corresponding to the gas sharing chamber 4 of such a structure is shown in fig. 10 and 11:
in this embodiment, a second through hole 171 is formed in the upper cover 17 of the unit cell, and the second through hole 171 is located between the two polar terminals 5 of the unit cell 2. Sealing the second through hole 171 with the sealing assembly 10; after the unit cell 2 is mounted in the cylindrical body 11, the second through hole 171 is located below the gas sharing chamber 4, and the sealing unit 10 can be detached from the upper cover plate or an opening penetrating the second through hole 171 is formed in the sealing unit 10 to penetrate the gas sharing chamber 4 by an external force or an external electrolyte (the external electrolyte here means an electrolyte located outside the unit cell 2). The specific through mode (i.e. unpacking mode) is similar to the liquid path unpacking process, and will not be described here again.
As shown in fig. 4 and 5, the top plate 13 of the housing of the present embodiment is provided with a avoiding hole 6 which enables the polar terminal 5 of each single battery 2 to extend out; the polarity terminals 5 of the single batteries 2 extend out of the corresponding avoidance holes 6, and the areas of the shell 1 around the avoidance holes 6 are fixedly sealed with the shell of the single battery 2. As can be seen from the figure, the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2 in this embodiment is a single battery 2 pole, and the pole of the single battery 2 is higher than that of the conventional commercial shell battery.
Referring to fig. 2 and 3, it can be seen that in this embodiment, a through groove is formed at a portion of the polarity terminal 5 of the unit cell 2 extending out of the avoiding hole 6, and the through groove is used as a heat transfer tube clamping portion 7; as can be seen from fig. 11, the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2 in this embodiment is a cylinder, and includes a first end face, a second end face 52 and a side wall 53 (the first end face and the second end face 52 are parallel to each other), and the through slot is formed in the side wall 53 of the polar terminal, that is, the opening of the through slot is located on the side wall 53.
In other embodiments, a through hole may be formed in the sidewall 53, that is, the opening of the through hole is located on the sidewall 53.
In other embodiments, a through slot may be formed in the second end surface 52, that is, the opening of the through slot is located on the second end surface 52.
The second end surface 52 is used as an electric connection part of the polar terminal 5 and is used for being connected with the first electric connection piece 21 and/or the second electric connection piece 22 to realize electric connection between each single battery 2 and/or two large-capacity batteries; the first end face is for electrical connection with an electrode assembly within the case of the unit cell 2.
The side wall 53 is provided with a through groove and a through hole, and compared with the through groove formed in the second end surface 52, the heat transfer tube 8 has larger contact area with the inner wall of the through groove or the through hole in the through groove or the through hole, and has higher heat transfer efficiency. In addition, when the through groove and the through hole are located on the side wall 53, the entire area of the second end surface 52 may be used as an electrical connection area. Two through grooves or through holes can be formed on the side wall 53 of the polar terminal at the same time, so as to increase the number of the heat transfer tubes 8, and further improve the heat transfer efficiency. The through slots are easier to install than the through hole structures.
The section of leading to the groove is the C font, and the section is the logical groove of C font, and its opening width is less than the widest department of leading to the groove, and such design is favorable to heat transfer pipe 8 interference joint in leading to the inslot, and the radian that C font led to its both ends to form has natural tension, is favorable to with heat transfer pipe 8 inseparable joint in leading to the inslot.
Fixing the heat transfer tube 8 in the through groove or the through hole (insulation between the heat transfer tube 8 and the single battery 2), and cooling the large-capacity battery by introducing a heat transfer medium with lower temperature into the heat transfer tube 8 when the temperature of the large-capacity battery is higher than a set threshold value; when the temperature of the large-capacity battery is lower than a set threshold value, heating the large-capacity battery by introducing a heat transfer medium with higher temperature into the heat transfer tube 8; by controlling the temperature of the heat transfer medium, it is ensured that the high-capacity battery always operates at a normal operating temperature.
As shown in fig. 2 and 12, the heat transfer tube 8 of the present embodiment may be a U-shaped tube section, which is divided into three parts for easy installation, and may be defined as a first tube 81, a second tube 82 and a connection tube 83, respectively.
The first tube 81 is fixed in the positive terminal through groove of each unit cell 2 in the large-capacity cell; the second tube 82 is fixed in the negative terminal through groove of each unit cell 2 in the large-capacity cell; the both ends of the connection pipe 83 are connected to ports on the same side as the first pipe 81 and the second pipe 82, respectively. The remaining two ports of the first and second tubes 82 serve as the liquid inlet and outlet of the heat transfer tube 8.
In other embodiments, two heat transfer tubes 8 may be used, where the two heat transfer tubes 8 are respectively clamped in the heat transfer tube clamping portions 7 of the positive polarity terminal and the negative polarity terminal of each unit cell 2 in the large-capacity battery.
The present embodiment can complete the assembly of the large-capacity battery by the following procedure:
Step one, processing a cylinder 11 and two end plates 12.
Step two, capacity-dividing sorting is carried out, and a plurality of single batteries 2 meeting the requirements are screened; the lower cover plate 16 of the single battery is provided with a first through hole 161 and then sealed by the sealing assembly 10; the upper cover plate 17 of the single battery is provided with a second through hole 171 and then sealed by the sealing component 10; a plurality of unit cells 2 having a sealing assembly 10 are arranged in the cylinder 11 of the first step.
The specific arrangement process is as follows:
Fixing a plurality of single batteries 2 into a whole, and pushing the single batteries into the inner cavity of the cylinder 11 from any open end of the cylinder 11; at this time, the bottoms of the individual cells 2 are in contact with the housing bottom plate 14, and the polarity terminals 5 of the individual cells 2 correspond to the corresponding escape holes 6, but do not protrude out of the escape holes 6; then supporting a plurality of single batteries 2 from the bottom by using a lifting tool, so that the bottom of each single battery 2 is separated from the bottom plate 14 of the shell, and the polarity terminal 5 of each single battery 2 extends out of the corresponding avoidance hole 6; and then, inserting the bottom support piece 9 between each single battery 2 and the bottom plate 14 of the shell along the x direction, and taking out the lifting tool.
The cylinder 11 can be turned over, the top plate of the cylinder 11 faces downwards, a plurality of single batteries 2 are fixed into a whole, and the single batteries are pushed into the inner cavity of the cylinder 11 from any open end of the cylinder 11; or sequentially pushing a plurality of single batteries 2 into the inner cavity of the cylinder 11 from any open end of the cylinder 11; under the action of gravity, the polar terminals 5 of the single batteries 2 extend out of the corresponding avoidance holes 6, and a bottom supporting piece 9 is inserted between the bottom of each single battery 2 and the bottom plate 14 of the shell; the cylinder 11 is turned over with the top plate of the cylinder 11 facing upwards.
It should be noted that, in the z-direction, the dimensions of the bottom support 9 are such that: after the bottom supporting piece 9 is additionally arranged between the bottom of each single battery 2 and the bottom plate 14 of the shell, the polarity terminal 5 of each single battery 2 extends out of the corresponding avoiding hole 6.
Step three, sealing the peripheral parts of the avoidance holes 6 and the polar terminals of the shell of the single battery 2; the end plates 12 are welded to the opposite open ends of the barrel 11.
And step four, opening the sealing assembly 10 by using external force or electrolyte, wherein the inner cavity of the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 is communicated with the electrolyte areas of the inner cavities of the single batteries 2, and the inner cavity of the gas sharing chamber 4 is communicated with the gas areas of the inner cavities of the single batteries 2.
After the inner cavities of the single batteries 2 are communicated with the electrolyte sharing chamber 3, the electrolyte in the inner cavities of the single batteries 2 is communicated through the electrolyte sharing chamber 3, so that the continuity of the electrolyte can be ensured by injecting the electrolyte into the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 after the inner cavities of the single batteries 2 are communicated with the electrolyte sharing chamber 3 in order to prevent the phenomenon of electrolyte interruption.
The heat transfer tubes 8 are then fixed in the through slots on the respective polarity terminals 5, and all the unit cells 2 are connected in parallel using the first electrical connector 21 shown in fig. 12. This step may also be performed before step four.
In order to form a more complete SEI film, the large-capacity battery has more stable circulation capacity, and after electrolyte is injected into the inner cavities of all the single batteries 2 through the electrolyte sharing chamber 3, the whole large-capacity battery is formed.
Example 2
In embodiment 1, when the heat transfer tube 8 contacts the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2 for heat exchange, insulation is required between the heat transfer tube 8 and the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2 and between the heat transfer tube 8 and the unit cell 2, and this embodiment provides a heat transfer tube 8 with double-layer insulation, which is mounted on the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2, so that the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2 and the heat transfer tube 8 have reliable insulation performance during heat exchange.
The heat transfer tube 8 of the present embodiment specifically includes a metal tube having an insulating layer and an insulating jacket thereon; the insulating layer is formed on the pipe wall of the metal pipe, and the insulating sleeve is arranged on the metal pipe with the insulating layer. The insulating layer and the insulating sleeve are simultaneously arranged on the pipe wall of the heat transfer pipe 8, which is in contact with the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2, so that double insulation is formed, and when the heat transfer pipe 8 is in contact with the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2 for heat exchange, even if one of the insulating layer or the insulating sleeve is damaged, the reliable insulating performance can be maintained between the heat transfer pipe 8 and the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2, so that the safety of the single battery 2 in the use process is improved. The specific structure of the heat transfer tube 8 formed of the metal tube, the insulating layer and the insulating jacket will be described in detail below.
The heat transfer pipe 8 is a pipe having a heat exchange function, and is mainly in contact with the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2, and is used for exchanging heat with the polar terminal 5 of the unit cell 2. The cross-sectional shape of the heat transfer pipe 8 is not required as long as it can exchange heat by contacting the polar terminals 5 of the unit cells 2, and for example, square pipes, elliptical pipes, round pipes, and the like can be used. In this embodiment, the heat transfer tube 8 is preferably a circular tube, which is convenient to install, and can be made of existing metal tubes, and has relatively low cost.
The heat transfer pipe 8 in this embodiment is specifically a metal pipe with good heat transfer performance, such as an aluminum pipe, a copper pipe, or the like. Preferably, the heat transfer tube 8 is an aluminum tube with good heat transfer effect and relatively low cost. In order to ensure the heat conduction effect, the thinner the wall thickness of the aluminum pipe is, the better, but if the wall thickness of the aluminum pipe is too thin, the aluminum pipe is relatively soft and is easy to bend and break during installation. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the aluminum pipe preferably has a wall thickness of 0.5mm to 1mm, which has good heat conductivity while maintaining the reliability of its installation, avoiding the risk of easy bending damage when the aluminum pipe is thin. In specific use, the diameter of the aluminum pipe is generally about 10mm to 20 mm.
In the heat transfer tube 8 of this embodiment, the insulating layer is formed on the tube wall of the aluminum tube, and is of an integral structure with the aluminum tube, and it can be realized in the following ways:
Firstly, forming a ceramic coating, namely a high-temperature electric insulating coating, on the pipe wall of an aluminum pipe to form an insulating layer, wherein the ceramic coating can be a boron nitride coating, an aluminum oxide coating or a copper fluoride coating; however, the insulating layer formed by the method is easy to fall off, and the processing cost is high;
Secondly, coating a layer of insulating material (such as insulating paint and the like) on the wall surface of the aluminum pipe to form an insulating layer; the mode is convenient to process and implement, and the processing cost is low;
Thirdly, oxidizing the aluminum tube to form an insulating layer; the oxidation treatment is to utilize the chemical reaction of the metal surface and oxygen to form an oxide film to improve the insulation performance of the metal surface. For example, electrochemical oxidation methods, and the like. Specifically, the aluminum pipe is subjected to an oxidation treatment to form a hard oxide layer. The insulating layer formed by the method is not easy to fall off, and the insulating performance is relatively good.
The thicker the hard oxide layer formed by the oxidation treatment, the better the insulation, but the heat conductivity thereof will be lowered. In this embodiment, the thickness of the hard oxide layer is preferably 20um to 50um, and the hard oxide layer with the thickness ensures the insulation performance and also makes the pipe wall of the aluminum pipe have better heat conduction performance.
In this embodiment, in order to ensure the reliability of insulation, an insulating jacket is provided outside the aluminum pipe having an insulating layer as described above so as to form double insulation on the outer wall of the aluminum pipe.
The insulating sleeve can be specifically manufactured by adopting an insulating material with good heat conduction performance, so that the insulating sleeve has good heat conduction performance and good insulating performance. In this embodiment, the insulating sleeve is a heat-conducting plastic sleeve or a heat-conducting rubber sleeve with better insulating performance and heat-conducting performance, for example, a heat-conducting silica gel sleeve, and the thickness of the insulating sleeve is preferably 0.1 mm-1 mm, and the thickness can ensure good heat-conducting performance when ensuring good insulating performance. The cross section shape of the insulating sleeve can be round, U-shaped or C-shaped, and the insulating sleeve can be sleeved on an aluminum pipe with an insulating layer to insulate the contact part of the aluminum pipe and the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2. Meanwhile, the cross section shape of the insulating sleeve is preferably the same as that of the aluminum pipe, so that the insulating sleeve can be tightly nested on the aluminum pipe to improve the heat conducting performance of the aluminum pipe.
In other embodiments, an oxide layer can be directly arranged on the wall of the aluminum pipe or an insulating sleeve can be sleeved on the wall of the aluminum pipe, so that the structure is relatively simple, but if the thickness of the oxide layer or the insulating sleeve is thinner, the oxide layer or the insulating sleeve is easy to fall off or be scratched, and the problem of unreliable insulation exists.
Example 3
In the long-time use process, due to the temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the heat transfer pipe 8, condensation can be generated on the surface, and when the condensation is gathered to a certain amount, the condensation can permeate into a gap between the polar terminal 5 and the avoidance hole 6, so that the polar terminal 5 is electrically conducted with the shell 1, and further the short circuit of the same single battery 2 can be possibly caused.
The present embodiment overcomes the above-mentioned problems by optimizing the top structure of the large-capacity battery, laying the insulating sealant layer 20 on the top plate 13 of the housing, and extending the electrical connection portions (the second end faces 52) of the polarity terminals 5 of the respective unit cells 2 out of the insulating sealant layer 20 for connection with the first electrical connection member 21 or the second electrical connection member 22; the liquid inlet end and the liquid outlet end of the heat transfer tube 8 extend out of the insulating sealant layer 20 and are used for being connected with liquid cooling equipment. The first electrical connector 21 is a connector for connecting each unit cell 2 in parallel, and the second electrical connector 22 is a connector for connecting two large-capacity batteries in series, or a connector for connecting the large-capacity batteries with an external load.
As shown in fig. 13, in this embodiment, an insulating sealant layer 20 is laid on the top plate 13 of the housing, and as can be seen from the figure, a partial area of the polar terminal 5 of each unit cell 2 is covered by the insulating sealant layer 20, and the electrical connection portion (i.e., the second end face 52) of the polar terminal 5 of each unit cell 2 extends out of the insulating sealant layer 20 and is connected to the first electrical connector 21 and/or the second electrical connector 22; the main body part of the heat transfer tube 8 is covered by an insulating sealing glue layer 20, and the liquid inlet end and the liquid outlet end of the heat transfer tube 8 extend out of the insulating sealing glue layer 20 and are used for being connected with liquid cooling equipment.
In other embodiments, the size of the insulating sealant layer 20 in the z-direction may be smaller, lower than the main portion of the heat transfer tube 8, or cover a partial area of the main portion of the heat transfer tube 8; only the condensation can not enter the gap between the polar terminal 5 and the avoiding hole 6.
The insulating sealant used in the embodiment is generally a battery pouring sealant commonly used for batteries, for example, an organosilicon heat conduction pouring sealant can be used, and the insulating sealant has good sealing, insulating, vibration-resisting, heat dissipation, water resistance and other functions.
In order to prevent the insulation sealing glue solution from overflowing, in the glue injection process of the embodiment, a glue injection mold can be additionally arranged at the peripheral edge of the top plate 13 of the shell, so that the insulation sealing glue solution can be injected smoothly. And after the glue injection is finished, demoulding.
Referring to fig. 14, the first electrical connectors 21 of this embodiment are two. One of the first electrical connectors 21 is connected to the positive terminal second end face 52 of all the unit cells 2 in the large-capacity battery; the other first electrical connector 21 is connected to the negative terminal second end face 52 of all the unit cells 2 in the large-capacity battery. And further realizes the parallel connection of all the single batteries 2 in the large-capacity battery.
As can be seen from the figure, in this embodiment, the first electrical connector 21 is a metal plate, and may be made of copper, aluminum or other metal materials, and in this embodiment, aluminum is selected based on cost considerations.
The first electrical connector 21 and the polar terminal 5 of the single battery 2 may be connected by a screw or by welding, and in consideration of the reliability of the connection, the connection between the two is realized by welding in this embodiment.
In this embodiment, 13 second electrical connectors 22 are fixed to the electrical connection parts of the polarity terminals 5 of the respective unit cells 2; in other embodiments, the number of the second electrical connectors 22 may be determined according to actual requirements, and may be directly connected to the first electrical connectors 21.
Example 4
In the above embodiment, the polar terminal 5 is directly exposed to the external environment, and there is a great potential safety hazard due to the electrification of the polar terminal 5 during use. Based on this, as shown in fig. 15 and 16, the insulating protection cover 15 is arranged on the top of the high-capacity battery according to the embodiment, so as to provide insulating protection for the polar terminal 5, avoid potential safety hazards possibly existing when the polar terminal 5 is exposed in the operation process of the high-capacity battery, and also avoid the problem that some foreign matters in the external environment fall into the position of the polar terminal 5 to cause short circuit of the high-capacity battery, thereby improving the safety of the high-capacity battery.
It should be noted that, if the insulating protection cover 15 wraps all the polar terminals 5, it is difficult to electrically connect such a large-capacity battery, so in this embodiment, the side wall parallel to the xz plane of the insulating protection cover 15 is provided with the slit 153, and the second electrical connector 22 can be connected to the polar terminals 5 through the slit 153, thereby realizing electrical connection.
It should be noted that, the side wall of the insulating protection cover 15 needs to be provided with a channel for extending the liquid inlet end and the liquid outlet end of the heat transfer tube 8.
In order to facilitate the electrical connection process, the insulation protection cover 15 is designed to be a split structure in this embodiment, as shown in fig. 16, and includes an insulation frame 151 and an insulation cover plate 152 covering the insulation frame 151; the lower end of the insulating frame 151 is used for matching with the top of the high-capacity battery, and is fixed on the top of the high-capacity battery in a mode of screw connection or bonding, etc., the upper end of the insulating frame 151 is buckled and provided with an insulating cover plate 152, and the upper end of the side wall parallel to the xz plane of the insulating frame 151 is provided with a notch, and the notch and the insulating cover plate 152 are matched to form the slit 153.
In assembly, the insulating frame 151 may be fixed to the top of the large-capacity battery, the second electrical connector 22 may be connected to the polar terminal 5 through the slit 153, and the insulating cover 152 may be fixed to the upper end of the insulating frame 151 after the glue is injected.
In addition, in embodiment 3, in order to prevent the insulation sealing glue from overflowing during the glue injection process, a glue injection mold is needed, but after the glue injection is completed, the demolding is needed, and the process is complicated; in addition, during the demolding, the structure of the insulating sealant layer 20 may be damaged, resulting in a decrease in sealing reliability.
In this embodiment, the insulating frame 151 of the insulating protective cover 15 may be used as an injection mold, and the injection molding is completed without demolding, and the bonding strength between the insulating frame 151 and the top of the high-capacity battery may be improved.
