9. The socket panel of claim 6, further comprising a decorative plate covering a side of the cover plate facing away from the support plate.
10. The outlet faceplate of claim 9, wherein the cover plate defines a third open slot, the decorative plate defines a fourth open slot, and an external device is insertable into the socket of the inner core shell through the fourth open slot, the third open slot, and the first open slot.
