Technical Field

Background
Energy conservation and emission reduction are the key points of sustainable development of the automobile industry. Under such circumstances, electric vehicles are an important component of sustainable development of the automobile industry due to their energy saving and environmental protection advantages. In the case of electric vehicles, battery technology is an important factor in the development thereof.
In addition to improving the performance of batteries, safety issues are also a considerable problem in the development of battery technology. If the safety problem of the battery cannot be guaranteed, the battery cannot be used. Therefore, how to enhance the safety of the battery is a technical problem to be solved urgently in the battery technology.

According to the technical scheme, the thermal management component is used for separating the electric cavity containing the battery monomer from the collection cavity for collecting the discharge materials, when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, the discharge materials of the battery monomer enter the collection cavity and do not enter or slightly enter the electric cavity, so that the electric connection in the electric cavity is not influenced, and the safety of the battery can be enhanced.

Reference to a battery in embodiments of the present application refers to a single physical module that includes one or more battery cells to provide higher voltage and capacity. For example, the battery referred to in the present application may include a battery module or a battery pack, etc. Batteries generally include a case for enclosing one or more battery cells. The box can avoid liquid or other foreign matters to influence the charging or discharging of battery monomer.
The battery monomer comprises an electrode assembly and electrolyte, wherein the electrode assembly comprises a positive plate, a negative plate and an isolating membrane. The battery cell mainly depends on metal ions moving between the positive plate and the negative plate to work. The positive plate comprises a positive current collector and a positive active substance layer, wherein the positive active substance layer is coated on the surface of the positive current collector, the current collector which is not coated with the positive active substance layer protrudes out of the current collector which is coated with the positive active substance layer, and the current collector which is not coated with the positive active substance layer is used as a positive electrode lug. Taking a lithium ion battery as an example, the material of the positive electrode current collector may be aluminum, and the positive electrode active material may be lithium cobaltate, lithium iron phosphate, ternary lithium, lithium manganate, or the like. The negative pole piece includes negative current collector and negative pole active substance layer, and the negative pole active substance layer coats in the surface of negative current collector, and the mass flow body protrusion in the mass flow body of coating the negative pole active substance layer of uncoated negative pole active substance layer, the mass flow body of uncoated negative pole active substance layer is as negative pole utmost point ear. The material of the negative electrode current collector may be copper, and the negative electrode active material may be carbon, silicon, or the like. The development of battery technology needs to consider various design factors, such as energy density, cycle life, discharge capacity, charge and discharge rate, and other performance parameters, and also needs to consider the safety of the battery.
For cells, the main safety hazard comes from the charging and discharging processes, and at the same time, with a suitable ambient temperature design, there are generally at least three protective measures for the cells in order to effectively avoid unnecessary losses. In particular, the protective measures comprise at least a switching element, selection of a suitable isolating membrane material and a pressure relief mechanism. The switching element is an element that can stop charging or discharging the battery when the temperature or resistance in the battery cell reaches a certain threshold value. The isolating membrane is used for isolating the positive plate and the negative plate, and can automatically dissolve away the micron-scale (even nano-scale) micropores attached to the isolating membrane when the temperature rises to a certain value, so that metal ions cannot pass through the isolating membrane, and the internal reaction of the battery monomer is stopped.
The pressure relief mechanism refers to an element or a component that is actuated to relieve the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell when the internal pressure or temperature reaches a predetermined threshold. The threshold design varies according to design requirements. The threshold may depend on the material of one or more of the positive electrode sheet, the negative electrode sheet, the electrolyte and the separator in the battery cell. The pressure relief mechanism may take the form of, for example, an explosion-proof valve, a gas valve, a pressure relief valve, or a safety valve, and may specifically employ a pressure-sensitive or temperature-sensitive element or configuration, that is, when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a predetermined threshold value, the pressure relief mechanism performs an action or a weak structure provided in the pressure relief mechanism is broken, thereby forming an opening or a passage through which the internal pressure or temperature can be relieved.
As used herein, "activate" means that the pressure relief mechanism is activated or activated to a certain state, such that the internal pressure and temperature of the battery cell are relieved. The actions generated by the pressure relief mechanism may include, but are not limited to: at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism ruptures, fractures, is torn or opened, or the like. When the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, high-temperature and high-pressure substances in the battery cells are discharged outwards from the actuated part as emissions. Reference herein to emissions from the battery cell includes, but is not limited to: electrolyte, dissolved or split anode and cathode pole pieces, fragments of a separation film, high-temperature and high-pressure gas generated by reaction, flame and the like.
The pressure relief mechanism on the battery cell has an important influence on the safety of the battery. For example, when a short circuit or overcharge occurs, thermal runaway may occur inside the battery cell, and the pressure or temperature may suddenly rise. In this case, the internal pressure and temperature can be released outwards by the actuation of the pressure relief mechanism, so as to prevent the explosion and the fire of the battery cells.
In current designs of pressure relief mechanisms, there is a major concern about releasing high pressure and heat inside the battery cell, i.e., discharging the emissions outside the battery cell. However, in order to secure the output voltage or current of the battery, a plurality of battery cells are often required and electrically connected to each other through a bus member. The discharged materials from the inside of the battery cells may cause a short circuit phenomenon of the remaining battery cells, for example, when the discharged metal chips electrically connect the two bus members, the short circuit of the battery may be caused, thereby causing a safety hazard. Also, the high-temperature, high-pressure exhaust is discharged toward the direction in which the pressure relief mechanism is provided to the battery cell, and may be more specifically discharged in the direction toward the region in which the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, and the power and destructive power of such exhaust may be large and may even be sufficient to break through one or more structures in that direction, posing a further safety problem.
In view of this, the present application provides a technical solution, an inside of a box of a battery is separated into an electrical cavity for accommodating a battery cell and a collection cavity for collecting emissions by using a thermal management component, and when a pressure relief mechanism is actuated, the emissions of the battery cell enter the collection cavity, but do not enter the electrical cavity or enter the electrical cavity only in a small amount, so as to reduce an influence of the emissions on a confluence component in the electrical cavity, and thus, the safety of the battery can be enhanced. And because the emission of the battery monomer is collected through the collection cavity, the high-temperature and high-pressure emission is buffered, the pressure and the temperature of the emission are reduced, and the destructive power of the emission to other structures is reduced, so that the safety of the battery is further enhanced.
The thermal management component is for containing a fluid to regulate a temperature of the plurality of battery cells. The fluid may be a liquid or a gas, and the temperature adjustment means heating or cooling of the plurality of battery cells. In the case of cooling or temperature reduction of the battery cells, the thermal management member is used to contain a cooling fluid to reduce the temperature of the plurality of battery cells, and at this time, the thermal management member may also be referred to as a cooling member, a cooling system, a cooling plate, or the like, and the contained fluid may also be referred to as a cooling medium or a cooling fluid, and more specifically, may be referred to as a cooling liquid or a cooling gas. In addition, the thermal management component may also be used to heat to raise the temperature of the plurality of battery cells, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. Alternatively, the fluid may be circulated to achieve better temperature regulation. Optionally, the fluid may be water, a mixture of water and glycol, air, or the like.
The electrical cavity is for receiving a plurality of battery cells and a bus bar member. The electrical cavity may be sealed or unsealed. The electrical cavity provides a mounting space for the cells and the bus bar member. In some embodiments, a structure for fixing the battery cell may also be provided in the electrical cavity. The electrical cavity may be shaped according to the number of battery cells and the bus member received. In some embodiments, the electrical cavity may be square, having six walls. The electrical cavity may also be referred to as a "high voltage cavity" because the cells within the electrical cavity form a higher voltage output through the electrical connection.
The bus bar member is used to electrically connect a plurality of battery cells, for example, in parallel or in series-parallel. The bus member may achieve electrical connection between the battery cells by connecting electrode terminals of the battery cells. In some embodiments, the bus member may be fixed to the electrode terminals of the battery cells by welding. The electrical connection formed by the bus members, corresponding to the "high-voltage cavity", may also be referred to as a "high-voltage connection".
The collection chamber is used to collect the effluent and may be sealed or unsealed. In some embodiments, the collection chamber may contain air, or other gases. The collection chamber is not electrically connected to the voltage output, and corresponds to a "high-pressure chamber", which may also be referred to as a "low-pressure chamber". Alternatively, or additionally, the collection chamber may also contain a liquid, such as a cooling medium, or a means for containing the liquid may be provided to further cool the effluent entering the collection chamber. Further optionally, the gas or liquid in the collection chamber is circulated.
The technical scheme described in the embodiment of the application is applicable to various devices using batteries, such as mobile phones, portable devices, notebook computers, battery cars, electric toys, electric tools, electric vehicles, ships, spacecrafts and the like, and the spacecrafts comprise airplanes, rockets, space shuttles, spacecrafts and the like.
It should be understood that the technical solutions described in the embodiments of the present application are not limited to be applied to the above-described devices, but may also be applied to all devices using batteries, and for brevity of description, the following embodiments are all described by taking an electric vehicle as an example.
For example, as shown in fig. 1, which is a schematic structural diagram of a vehicle 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the vehicle 1 may be a fuel-oil vehicle, a gas-fired vehicle, or a new energy vehicle, and the new energy vehicle may be a pure electric vehicle, a hybrid electric vehicle, or an extended range vehicle. The vehicle 1 may be provided with a motor 40, a controller 30 and a battery 10, the controller 30 being configured to control the battery 10 to supply power to the motor 40. For example, the battery 10 may be provided at the bottom or the head or tail of the vehicle 1. The battery 10 may be used for power supply of the vehicle 1, for example, the battery 10 may be used as an operation power supply of the vehicle 1 for a circuit system of the vehicle 1, for example, for power demand for operation at the start, navigation, and running of the vehicle 1. In another embodiment of the present application, the battery 10 may be used not only as an operation power source of the vehicle 1 but also as a driving power source of the vehicle 1 instead of or in part of fuel or natural gas to provide driving power to the vehicle 1.
In order to meet different power requirements, the battery may include a plurality of battery cells, wherein the plurality of battery cells may be connected in series or in parallel or in series-parallel, and the series-parallel refers to a mixture of series connection and parallel connection. The battery may also be referred to as a battery pack. Alternatively, a plurality of battery cells may be connected in series or in parallel or in series-parallel to form a battery module, and a plurality of battery modules may be connected in series or in parallel or in series-parallel to form a battery. That is, a plurality of battery cells may directly constitute a battery, or a battery module may be first constituted and then a battery may be constituted.
For example, as shown in fig. 2, the battery 10 may include a plurality of battery cells 20 for a structural schematic diagram of the battery 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The battery 10 may further include a case (or called a cover), the inside of the case is a hollow structure, and the plurality of battery cells 10 are accommodated in the case. As shown in fig. 2, the case may comprise two parts, herein referred to as a first part 111 and a second part 112, respectively, the first part 111 and the second part 112 snap together. The shape of the first and second portions 111 and 112 may be determined according to the shape of a combination of a plurality of battery cells 20, and the first and second portions 111 and 112 may each have one opening. For example, each of the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 may be a hollow rectangular parallelepiped and only one surface of each may be an opening surface, the opening of the first portion 111 and the opening of the second portion 112 are oppositely disposed, and the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 are fastened to each other to form a box body having a closed chamber. The plurality of battery cells 20 are connected in parallel or in series-parallel combination and then placed in a box formed by buckling the first part 111 and the second part 112.
Optionally, the battery 10 may also include other structures, which are not described in detail herein. For example, the battery 10 may further include a bus member for electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells 20, such as in parallel or in series-parallel. Specifically, the bus member may achieve electrical connection between the battery cells 20 by connecting electrode terminals of the battery cells 20. Further, the bus bar member may be fixed to the electrode terminals of the battery cells 20 by welding. The electric energy of the plurality of battery cells 20 can be further led out through the box body by the conductive mechanism. Alternatively, the conductive means may also belong to the bus bar member.
The number of the battery cells 20 may be set to any number according to different power requirements. A plurality of battery cells 20 may be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel to achieve greater capacity or power. Since the number of the battery cells 20 included in each battery 10 may be large, the battery cells 20 may be arranged in groups for convenience of installation, each group of the battery cells 20 constituting a battery module. The number of the battery cells 20 included in the battery module is not limited and may be set as required. For example, fig. 3 is an example of a battery module. The battery may include a plurality of battery modules, which may be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel. As shown in fig. 4, which is a schematic structural diagram of a battery cell 20 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the battery cell 20 includes one or more electrode assemblies 22, a case 211, and a cover plate 212. The coordinate system shown in fig. 4 is the same as that in fig. 3. The housing 211 and cover 212 form a housing or battery compartment 21. The wall of the housing 211 and the cover plate 212 are referred to as the wall of the battery cell 20. The case 211 is determined according to the shape of one or more electrode assemblies 22 after being combined, for example, the case 211 may be a hollow rectangular parallelepiped or a square or a cylinder, and one of the faces of the case 211 has an opening so that one or more electrode assemblies 22 can be placed in the case 211. For example, when the housing 211 is a hollow rectangular parallelepiped or square, one of the planes of the housing 211 is an open plane, i.e., the plane has no wall body so that the housing 211 communicates inside and outside. When the housing 211 may be a hollow cylinder, the end surface of the housing 211 is an open surface, i.e., the end surface has no wall body so that the housing 211 is communicated with the inside and the outside. The cap plate 212 covers the opening and is connected with the case 211 to form a closed cavity in which the electrode assembly 22 is placed. The case 211 is filled with an electrolyte, such as an electrolytic solution.
The battery cell 20 may further include two electrode terminals 214, and the two electrode terminals 214 may be disposed on the cap plate 212. The cap plate 212 is generally in the shape of a flat plate, and two electrode terminals 214 are fixed to the flat plate surface of the cap plate 212, the two electrode terminals 214 being a positive electrode terminal 214a and a negative electrode terminal 214b, respectively. One connecting member 23, which may also be referred to as a current collecting member 23, is disposed at each of the electrode terminals 214, between the cap plate 212 and the electrode assembly 22, for electrically connecting the electrode assembly 22 and the electrode terminals 214.
As shown in fig. 4, each electrode assembly 22 has a first tab 221a and a second tab 222 a. The first tab 221a and the second tab 222a have opposite polarities. For example, when the first tab 221a is a positive electrode tab, the second tab 222a is a negative electrode tab. The first tab 221a of one or more electrode assemblies 22 is connected to one electrode terminal by one connecting member 23, and the second tab 212a of one or more electrode assemblies 22 is connected to the other electrode terminal by the other connecting member 23. For example, the positive electrode terminal 214a is connected to a positive electrode tab through one connecting member 23, and the negative electrode terminal 214b is connected to a negative electrode tab through the other connecting member 23.
In the battery cell 20, the electrode assembly 22 may be provided singly or in plurality according to actual use requirements, and as shown in fig. 4, 4 independent electrode assemblies 22 are provided in the battery cell 20.
Fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a battery cell 20 including a pressure relief mechanism 213 according to another embodiment of the present disclosure.
The case 211, the cover plate 212, the electrode assembly 22 and the connecting member 23 in fig. 5 are the same as the case 211, the cover plate 212, the electrode assembly 22 and the connecting member 23 in fig. 4, and are not repeated herein for brevity.
A pressure relief mechanism 213 may also be provided on one wall of the battery cell 20, such as the first wall 21a shown in fig. 5. For convenience of illustration, the first wall 21a is separated from the housing 211 in fig. 5, but this does not limit the bottom side of the housing 211 to have an opening. The pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated to relieve the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell 20 when the internal pressure or temperature reaches a threshold value.
The pressure relief mechanism 213 may be a part of the first wall 21a, or may be a separate structure from the first wall 21a and fixed to the first wall 21a by welding, for example. When the pressure relief mechanism 213 is a part of the first wall 21a, for example, the pressure relief mechanism 213 may be formed by providing a notch on the first wall 21a, and the thickness of the first wall 21a corresponding to the notch is smaller than the thickness of the other regions of the pressure relief mechanism 213 except the notch. The score is the weakest point of the pressure relief mechanism 213. When too much gas generated by the battery cell 20 increases the internal pressure of the case 211 and reaches a threshold value or the internal reaction of the battery cell 20 generates heat to increase the internal temperature of the battery cell 20 and reach the threshold value, the pressure relief mechanism 213 may rupture at the notch to cause the inside and the outside of the case 211 to be communicated with each other, and the gas pressure and the temperature are released outwards by the rupture of the pressure relief mechanism 213, thereby preventing the explosion of the battery cell 20.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 5, in the case where the pressure relief mechanism 213 is provided to the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20, a second wall of the battery cell 20, which is different from the first wall 21a, is provided with the electrode terminal 214.
Optionally, the second wall is disposed opposite the first wall 21 a. For example, the first wall 21a may be a bottom wall of the battery cell 20, and the second wall may be a top wall of the battery cell 20, i.e., the cap plate 212.
Optionally, as shown in fig. 5, the battery cell 20 may further include a backing plate 24, where the backing plate 24 is located between the electrode assembly 22 and the bottom wall of the housing 211, and may support the electrode assembly 22 and effectively prevent the electrode assembly 22 from interfering with the rounded corners around the bottom wall of the housing 211. In addition, one or more through holes may be formed in the backing plate 24, for example, a plurality of through holes may be uniformly arranged, or when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed on the bottom wall of the housing 211, through holes may be disposed at positions corresponding to the pressure relief mechanism 213 so as to facilitate liquid and gas guiding, specifically, the spaces on the upper and lower surfaces of the backing plate 24 may be communicated, and both the gas and the electrolyte generated inside the battery cell 20 may freely pass through the backing plate 24.
Disposing the pressure relief mechanism 213 and the electrode terminal 214 on different walls of the battery cell 20 may make the emissions of the battery cell 20 more distant from the electrode terminal 214 when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, thereby reducing the influence of the emissions on the electrode terminal 214 and the bus bar member, and thus, the safety of the battery can be enhanced.
Further, when the electrode terminal 214 is disposed on the cap plate 212 of the battery cell 20, the pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed on the bottom wall of the battery cell 20, so that when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is activated, the emissions of the battery cell 20 are discharged to the bottom of the battery 10. This reduces the risk of emissions by using thermal management features or the like on the bottom of the battery 10, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the bottom of the battery 10 is generally away from the user, thereby reducing the risk to the user.
The pressure relief mechanism 213 may be any of various possible pressure relief structures, which are not limited in the embodiments of the present application. For example, the pressure relief mechanism 213 may be a temperature-sensitive pressure relief mechanism configured to be able to melt when the internal temperature of the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 reaches a threshold value; and/or, pressure relief mechanism 213 may be a pressure sensitive pressure relief mechanism configured to rupture when the internal air pressure of battery cell 20 in which pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed reaches a threshold value.
Fig. 6 is a schematic view of a battery case 11 according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 6, the housing 11 may include an electrical chamber 11a, a collection chamber 11b, and a thermal management component 13. The electrical cavity 11a and the collection cavity 11b are disposed on both sides of the thermal management component 13, and the thermal management component 13 is used to isolate the electrical cavity 11a from the collection cavity 11 b. The term "isolated" as used herein refers to separated, possibly not sealed, elements.
The electrical cavity 11a is for accommodating the plurality of battery cells 20 and the bus bar member 12. The electrical cavity 11a provides a receiving space for the battery cells 20 and the bus bar member 12, and the shape of the electrical cavity 11a may be determined according to the plurality of battery cells 20 and the bus bar member 12.
The bus bar member 12 is used to electrically connect the plurality of battery cells 20. The bus member 12 may achieve electrical connection between the battery cells 20 by connecting the electrode terminals 214 of the battery cells 20.
At least one cell 20 of the plurality of cells 20 may include a pressure relief mechanism 213, the pressure relief mechanism 213 being configured to actuate to relieve an internal pressure or temperature of the cell 20 in which the pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed when the internal pressure or temperature reaches a threshold value.
For convenience of description, the battery cell 20 referred to in the following description related to the pressure relief mechanism 213 refers to the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213. For example, the battery cell 20 may be the battery cell 20 in fig. 5.
A thermal management component 13 for containing a fluid to regulate the temperature of the plurality of battery cells 20. In the case of cooling the battery cells 20, the thermal management member 13 may contain a cooling medium to adjust the temperature of the plurality of battery cells 20, and in this case, the thermal management member 13 may also be referred to as a cooling member, a cooling system, a cooling plate, or the like. The thermal management member 13 may be used for heating, and the present embodiment is not limited thereto. Alternatively, the fluid may be circulated to achieve better temperature regulation.
A collection chamber 11b for collecting the discharge from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated.
In the present embodiment, the thermal management member 13 is used to isolate the electrical cavity 11a from the collection cavity 11 b. That is, the electrical chamber 11a that accommodates the plurality of battery cells 20 and the bus bar member 12 is separated from the collection chamber 11b that collects the discharge. In this way, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the discharge of the battery cell 20 enters the collection chamber 11b, and does not enter or slightly enters the electrical chamber 11a, so that the electrical connection in the electrical chamber 11a is not affected, and therefore, the safety of the battery can be enhanced.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermal management component 13 has a wall that is common to both the electrical cavity 11a and the collection cavity 11 b. As shown in fig. 6, the thermal management component 13 may be both a wall of the electrical cavity 11a and a wall of the collection cavity 11 b. That is, the thermal management component 13 (or a portion thereof) may directly serve as a common wall for both the electrical cavity 11a and the collection cavity, such that emissions from the battery cell 20 may pass through the thermal management component 13 into the collection cavity 11b, while being isolated from the electrical cavity 11a as much as possible due to the presence of the thermal management component 13, thereby reducing the risk of emissions and enhancing battery safety.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the electrical cavity 11a may be formed by a cover having an opening and the thermal management component 13. For example, as shown in fig. 7, the case 11 further includes a cover 110 having an opening (lower side opening in fig. 7). The enclosure 110 with the opening is a semi-closed chamber with an opening to the outside, which the thermal management component 13 covers, forming a chamber, i.e. an electrical cavity 11 a.
Alternatively, the cover 110 may be composed of multiple parts, for example, as shown in fig. 8, the cover 110 may include a first part 111 and a second part 112. The second portion 112 has openings on both sides thereof, the first portion 111 covers the opening on one side of the second portion 112, and the thermal management member 13 covers the opening on the other side of the second portion 112, thereby forming the electrical cavity 11 a.
The embodiment of fig. 8 can be improved on the basis of fig. 2. In particular, the bottom wall of the second portion 112 in fig. 2 may be replaced by a thermal management member 13, the thermal management member 13 being one wall of the electrical cavity 11a, thereby forming the electrical cavity 11a in fig. 8. In other words, the bottom wall of the second part 112 in fig. 2 may be removed, i.e. a circumferential wall with two open sides is formed, and the first part 111 and the thermal management component 13 cover the two open sides of the second part 112 respectively, forming a cavity, i.e. the electrical cavity 11 a.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, for the collection chamber 11b, it may be formed by the thermal management component 13 and the protective member. For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the case 11 further includes a guard member 115. The protective structure 115 is used to protect the thermal management component 13, and the protective structure 115 and the thermal management component 13 form a collection cavity 11 b.
The collection chamber 11b formed by the protection member 115 and the thermal management member 13 does not occupy the space for accommodating the battery cell, so that the collection chamber 11b having a large space can be provided, and thus the discharged materials can be effectively collected and buffered, thereby reducing the risk thereof.
Optionally, in an embodiment of the present application, a fluid, such as a cooling medium, may be disposed in the collection chamber 11b, or a component containing the fluid may be disposed to further cool the effluent entering the collection chamber 11 b.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the collection chamber 11b may be a sealed chamber. For example, the connection of the protective structure 115 to the thermal management component 13 may be sealed by a sealing structure.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the collection chamber 11b may not be a sealed chamber. For example, the collection chamber 11b may be in communication with air, so that a portion of the exhaust may be further discharged to the outside of the case 11.
In the above embodiments, the thermal management component 13 covers the opening of the enclosure body 110 to form the electrical cavity 11a, and the thermal management component 13 and the protective structure 115 form the collection cavity 11 b. Alternatively, the thermal management component 13 may also directly divide the closed enclosure into an electrical chamber 11a and a collection chamber 11 b.
For example, as shown in FIG. 10, in one embodiment of the present application, the housing 11 further includes a closed enclosure 110. The thermal management component 13 is disposed inside the enclosure 110 and separates the interior of the enclosure 110 into an electrical cavity 11a and a collection cavity 11 b. That is, the closed enclosure 110 forms a chamber within its interior, and the thermal management component 13 separates the chamber within the enclosure 110 into two chambers, an electrical chamber 11a and a collection chamber 11 b.
Since the electrical cavity 11a requires a large space to accommodate the plurality of battery cells 20, etc., the thermal management member 13 may be disposed near a certain wall of the housing 110 to isolate the relatively large-space electrical cavity 11a from the relatively small-space collection cavity 11 b.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 11, in one embodiment of the present application, the cover 110 may include a first portion 111 and a second portion 112. One side of the second portion 112 has an opening to form a semi-enclosed structure. A semi-enclosed structure is a chamber having an opening. The thermal management component 13 is disposed inside the second portion 112, and the first portion 111 covers the opening of the second portion 112. In other words, the thermal management component 13 may be disposed in the semi-closed second portion 112 to isolate the collection cavity 11b, and the first portion 111 may be covered with the opening of the second portion 112 to form the electrical cavity 11 a.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the electrical cavity 11a is isolated from the collection cavity 11b by a thermal management component 13. That is, the collection chamber 11b is not communicated with the electrical chamber 11a, and liquid, gas, or the like in the collection chamber 11b cannot enter the electrical chamber 11a, so that the electrical chamber 11a can be protected more effectively.
When the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the pressure relief mechanism 213 opens to discharge the exhaust in the battery cell 20. The emissions may damage the thermal management component 13, passing through the thermal management component 13 and into the collection cavity 11 b.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 12, in one embodiment of the present application, in order to facilitate the passage of the emissions through the thermal management component 13, the thermal management component 13 is provided with a weakened area 135, the weakened area 135 being configured to be breakable upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213, such that the emissions from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 pass through the weakened area 135 into the collection chamber 11 b.
Alternatively, the area of weakness 135 may be located opposite the pressure relief mechanism 213. Thus, upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213, the emissions may directly impact the weakened area 135 to open the weakened area 135.
The weakened area 135 may take any of a variety of configurations to facilitate effluent destruction, and is not limited by the embodiments of the present application and will be described in detail below.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 13, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermal management component 13 is provided with a groove 134 disposed opposite the pressure relief mechanism 213, and the bottom wall of the groove 134 forms the weakened area 135. Since the bottom wall of recess 134 is weakened relative to the rest of the area of thermal management member 13 and is susceptible to damage by emissions, emissions may damage the bottom wall of recess 134 and enter collection chamber 11b when pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated.
Alternatively, the pressure relief mechanism 213 is provided to the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213, the first wall 21a is attached to the thermal management member 13, and the groove 134 is provided to the surface of the thermal management member 13 facing the first wall 21 a. That is, the opening of the groove 134 faces the first wall 21 a.
It will be appreciated that the opening of the recess 134 may also face away from the first wall 21 a. In this case, the bottom wall of the recess 134 is also susceptible to damage by emissions.
The thermal management component 13 may be formed of a thermally conductive material to form a fluid flow path. The fluid flows in the flow channels and conducts heat through the thermally conductive material to cool the battery cells 20. Alternatively, the weakened area 135 may be only of thermally conductive material and no fluid to form a thin layer of thermally conductive material, thereby being easily damaged by the emissions. For example, the bottom wall of the recess 134 may be a thin layer of thermally conductive material to form the weakened area 135.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 14a to 14c, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermal management component 13 may include a first heat-conducting plate 131 and a second heat-conducting plate 132. The first and second heat conduction plates 131 and 132 form a flow passage 133 for containing a fluid. The first heat-conducting plate 131 is located between the first wall 21a and the second heat-conducting plate 132 and is attached to the first wall 21 a. The first region 131a of the first heat-conductive plate 131 is recessed toward the second heat-conductive plate 132 to form a groove 134, and the first region 131a is connected to the second heat-conductive plate 132. Thus, the flow channel 133 is formed around the recess 134, while no flow channel is formed in the bottom wall of the recess 134, thereby forming a weak area.
Alternatively, the first or second conductive plate 131, 132 at the bottom wall of the recess 134 may also be removed to form a thinner zone of weakness. For example, as shown in fig. 14c, in one embodiment of the present application, the first region 131a is provided with a first through hole 136, the radial dimension of the first through hole 136 is smaller than that of the groove 134, i.e., the first heat conduction plate 131 at the bottom wall of the groove 134 is removed, and the connection of the first heat conduction plate 131 with the second heat conduction plate 132 at the bottom edge of the groove 134 is maintained to form the flow channel 133 around the groove 134.
Alternatively, the second heat conduction plate 132 corresponding to the first through holes 136 may also be subjected to a thinning process, i.e., the thickness of the second heat conduction plate 132 corresponding to the first through holes 136 is made smaller than the thickness of the second heat conduction plate 132 of other regions, thereby making the weak region more vulnerable to the discharge. Alternatively, a weak groove may be further provided on the second heat conduction plate 132 corresponding to the first through hole 136.
Fig. 15 a-15 c show schematic views of the thermal management component 13. As shown in fig. 15a to 15c, the first heat conduction plate 131 is depressed to form the recess 134, and the second heat conduction plate 132 has no flow path in the area corresponding to the recess 134 and is provided with the weak groove 132a, so that a weak area is formed in the bottom wall of the recess 134 after the first heat conduction plate 131 is coupled to the second heat conduction plate 132.
It should be understood that the bottom wall of the groove 134 may be thinned in other thinning manners, for example, a blind hole or a stepped hole may be formed on the first region 131a of the first heat conduction plate 131; and/or blind holes and the like are arranged on the second heat conducting plate.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the thickness of the weakened area 135 is less than or equal to 3 mm. For example, the thickness of the weakened region 135 may be 1mm or less.
In addition to using a weakened area 135 of lesser thickness, a weakened area 135 of low melting point material may be used to facilitate rupture by the emissions. That is, the zone of weakness 135 may have a lower melting point than the remainder of the thermal management component 13. For example, the weakened region 135 may be formed from a material having a melting point of less than 400 ℃.
It should be understood that the weakened area 135 may be provided by both a low melting point material and a lesser thickness, i.e., the two embodiments described above may be implemented separately or in combination.
By providing the thermal management component 13 with a weakened zone 135, it is possible, on the one hand, to enable emissions to pass through the weakened zone 135 into the collection chamber 11b upon actuation of the pressure relief means 213, avoiding emissions from entering the electrical chamber 11 a; on the other hand, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is not actuated, the insulation between the electrical cavity 11a and the collection cavity 11b can be ensured, and the substance in the collection cavity 11b is prevented from entering the electrical cavity 11 a.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermal management component 13 is configured to be broken upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213 to allow fluid to vent from the interior of the thermal management component 13; wherein the collection chamber 11b is also used for collecting the emissions of the thermal management component 13.
Specifically, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is activated, the thermal management component 13 is destroyed, and the fluid is discharged from the interior of the thermal management component 13, so that the heat of the battery cell 20 can be absorbed, the temperature of the emissions can be reduced, and the risk of the emissions can be reduced. In this case, the fluid and the discharge cooled by the fluid enter together into the collecting chamber 11 b. Since the temperature of the discharge from the battery cell 20 can be rapidly lowered by cooling the fluid, the risk of the discharge entering the collection chamber 11b is greatly reduced, and the other parts of the battery, such as other battery cells 20, are not greatly affected, so that the destructiveness caused by the abnormality of a single battery cell 20 can be suppressed at the first time, and the possibility of explosion of the battery can be reduced.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, the portion of the thermal management component 13 around the weakened area 135 can be broken by the emissions from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 to allow the fluid to vent from the interior of the thermal management component 13.
Specifically, upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213, the effluent of the battery cell 20 first breaks (bursts or bursts) the weakened area 135, passes through the weakened area 135 and enters the collection chamber 11 b; additionally, the emissions may also damage the portions around the weakened area 135, for example, high heat emissions may melt the surrounding thermal management component 13, allowing fluid to be expelled from the interior of the thermal management component 13, thereby cooling the high heat emissions. Since the exhaust temperature is high, regardless of whether the fluid is used to heat or cool the battery cell 20, the fluid is lower in temperature than the exhaust temperature, and thus the exhaust can be cooled.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, when the thermal management component 13 is provided with the groove 134, the side of the groove 134 can be damaged by emissions from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 to allow fluid to escape from the interior of the thermal management component 13.
When the groove 134 is adopted and the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the discharge of the battery cell 20 rushes into the groove 134, and the discharge breaks the bottom wall of the groove 134 and enters the collection cavity 11b because the bottom wall of the groove 134 is relatively weak; in addition, the entrained emissions within the grooves 134 also simultaneously melt the sides of the grooves 134, allowing fluid to be expelled from the interior of the thermal management component 13, thereby cooling the high heat emissions.
Optionally, the radial dimension of the groove 134 tapers in a direction away from the pressure relief mechanism 213. That is, the side surface of the groove 134 is an inclined surface, which increases the contact area with the emissions and facilitates the destruction by the emissions. For example, the side surfaces of the groove 134 may be inclined at an angle (relative to the plane of the bottom wall) in the range of 15-85 degrees.
The pressure relief mechanism 213 deforms when actuated to allow communication between the inside and outside of the battery cell 20. For example, in the case of the pressure relief mechanism 213 using a notch, the pressure relief mechanism 213 is broken at the notch and opened to both sides when actuated, and accordingly, the pressure relief mechanism 213 requires a certain deformation space. In one embodiment of the present application, the recess 134 is configured as an escape cavity that enables the pressure relief mechanism 213 to be opened upon actuation. The relief cavity provides a deformation space for the pressure relief mechanism 213 to deform and rupture the pressure relief mechanism 213 toward the thermal management component 13.
In the case of an avoidance chamber, the recess 134 is provided to satisfy the condition that the pressure relief mechanism 213 can be opened when actuated. Specifically, the depth of the groove 134 is related to the size of the pressure relief mechanism 213. As an example of the present application, the depth of the groove 134 is greater than 1 mm. For example, the depth of the groove 134 may be 3mm or more than 3mm, thereby facilitating the opening of the pressure relief mechanism 213. The area of the opening of the groove 134 is also related to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213. In order to allow the pressure relief means 213 to be opened, the ratio of the area of the opening of the recess 134 to the area of the pressure relief means 213 is larger than a certain value. In addition, in order to facilitate the side surface of the groove 134 to be damaged by the exhaust, the ratio of the area of the opening of the groove 134 to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213 is also smaller than a certain value. For example, the ratio of the area of the opening of the groove 134 to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213 may range from 0.5 to 2.
When the pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed on the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20, at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism 213 protrudes out of the first wall 21a, so that the pressure relief mechanism 213 can be easily mounted, and the space inside the battery cell 20 can be ensured. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 16, in one embodiment of the present application, the relief cavity may be used to house at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism 213 with at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism 213 protruding from the first wall 21 a. In this way, the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20 can be tightly attached to the surface of the thermal management component 13, which is not only convenient for fixing the battery cell 20, but also can save space and improve thermal management efficiency; moreover, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the emissions of the battery cell 20 can be discharged toward the escape cavity and away from the battery cell 20, so that the danger thereof is reduced, and the safety of the battery can be enhanced.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the portion of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213 is convex, and the relief cavity is used for accommodating the convex portion of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213. Similarly, in the case that the part of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213 protrudes outward, the avoiding cavity can ensure that the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20 can be tightly attached to the surface of the thermal management component 13, which not only facilitates fixing the battery cell 20, but also saves space and improves the thermal management efficiency.
In the above embodiment, the weak region 135 is provided so that the discharge of the battery cell 20 passes through the weak region 135 into the collection chamber 11b upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213. In addition to the weakened zone, the discharge may be made to enter the collection chamber 11b by providing a through hole.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 17, in one embodiment of the present application, the thermal management component 13 is provided with a second through hole 137, and the second through hole 137 is configured such that the exhaust from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 can enter the collection chamber 11b through the second through hole 137 when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated.
Alternatively, the second through hole 137 may be disposed opposite to the pressure relief mechanism 213. Thus, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the exhaust can directly enter the collection chamber 11b via the second through hole 137.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, in the case where the second through hole 137 is provided, the portion of the thermal management member 13 around the second through hole 137 can be broken by the discharge from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 to discharge the fluid from the inside of the thermal management member 13.
Specifically, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the discharge of the battery cell 20 enters the collection chamber 11b via the second through hole 137; in addition, the emissions may damage the portion around the second through-hole 137, for example, the high heat emissions may melt the surrounding thermal management component 13, allowing fluid to be expelled from the interior of the thermal management component 13, thereby cooling the high heat emissions.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the walls of the second through hole 137 can be broken by the emissions from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 to allow the fluid to escape from the interior of the thermal management component 13.
When the pressure relief mechanism 213 is activated, the emissions of the battery cell 20 rush into the second through hole 137, and since the emissions are high-pressure and high-heat emissions, the emissions will also melt the hole wall of the second through hole 137 when passing through the second through hole 137, so that the fluid is discharged from the inside of the thermal management component 13, thereby cooling the emissions.
Alternatively, the radial dimension of the second through hole 137 is tapered in a direction away from the pressure relief mechanism 213. That is, the wall of the second through hole 137 is an inclined surface, which increases the contact area with the emissions and facilitates the destruction by the emissions.
Alternatively, similar to the groove 134 described above, the second through hole 137 may be provided to allow the pressure relief mechanism 213 to be opened when actuated. As an embodiment of the present application, the area of the opening of the second through hole 137 is related to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213. In order to allow the pressure relief mechanism 213 to be opened, the ratio of the area of the opening of the second through hole 137 to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213 is larger than a certain value. In addition, in order to facilitate the sidewall of the second through hole 137 to be damaged by the exhaust, the ratio of the area of the opening of the second through hole 137 to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213 is also smaller than a certain value. For example, the ratio of the area of the opening of the second through hole 137 to the area of the pressure relief mechanism 213 ranges from 0.5 to 2.
Optionally, in an embodiment of the present application, the pressure relief mechanism 213 is disposed on the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20, the first wall 21a is attached to the thermal management component 13, at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism 213 protrudes from the first wall 21a, and the second through hole 137 is configured to accommodate at least a portion of the pressure relief mechanism 213. In this way, the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20 can be tightly attached to the surface of the thermal management component 13, which is not only convenient for fixing the battery cell 20, but also can save space and improve thermal management efficiency; furthermore, when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated, the discharge of the battery cell 20 can be discharged toward the second through hole 137 away from the battery cell 20, reducing the risk thereof, so that the safety of the battery can be enhanced.
Alternatively, in one embodiment of the present application, the portion of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213 is convex, and the second through hole 137 is used for accommodating the convex portion of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213. Under the condition that the part of the first wall 21a around the pressure relief mechanism 213 protrudes outward, the second through hole 137 can ensure that the first wall 21a of the battery cell 20 can be tightly attached to the surface of the thermal management component 13, which is convenient for fixing the battery cell 20 and saves space.
It should be understood that in addition to providing structure on the thermal management component 13 that enables the thermal management component 13 to be breached upon actuation of pressure relief mechanism 213, structure may be provided on pressure relief mechanism 213 that enables the thermal management component 13 to be breached upon actuation of pressure relief mechanism 213.
Optionally, in one embodiment of the present application, a breaking device is provided on the pressure relief mechanism 213 for breaking the thermal management component 13 upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism 213 to allow fluid to be expelled from the interior of the thermal management component 13. For example, the breaking device may be a spike, but the embodiment of the present application is not limited thereto.
Fig. 18 is a schematic diagram of a battery 10 according to an embodiment of the present application. The battery 10 may include a case 11, a plurality of battery cells 20, and a bus member 12.
At least one cell 20 of the plurality of cells 20 comprises a pressure relief mechanism 213, the pressure relief mechanism 213 being configured to be activated to relieve an internal pressure or temperature of the cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 when the internal pressure or temperature reaches a threshold value.
The bus bar member 12 is used to electrically connect the plurality of battery cells 20.
The box body 11 is the box body 11 described in the previous embodiments, and the electrical cavity 11a of the box body 11 is used for accommodating the plurality of battery cells 20 and the bus bar component 12, wherein the collection cavity 11b of the box body 11 collects the emissions from the battery cells 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated.
Fig. 19 is an exploded view of the battery 10 of one embodiment of the present application. In the embodiment shown in fig. 19, the thermal management component 13 is provided with a groove 134 and forms a collection chamber with the protective structure 115.
For a description of the components of the battery 10, reference may be made to the foregoing embodiments, which are not described herein for brevity.
An embodiment of the present application also provides an electric device, which may include the battery 10 in the foregoing embodiments. Alternatively, the electric device may be a vehicle 1, a ship, or a spacecraft.
The case, the battery and the electric device of the battery according to the embodiment of the present application are described above, and the method and the device for manufacturing the battery according to the embodiment of the present application will be described below, wherein portions not described in detail may be referred to in the foregoing embodiments.
Fig. 20 shows a schematic flow diagram of a method 300 of preparing a battery according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 20, the method 300 may include:
a plurality of battery cells 20 are provided, at least one battery cell 20 of the plurality of battery cells 20 comprises a pressure relief mechanism 213, and the pressure relief mechanism 213 is used for being actuated to relieve the internal pressure or temperature when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 reaches a threshold value;
320, providing a bus bar part 12, wherein the bus bar part 12 is used for realizing the electric connection of the plurality of battery cells 20;

Fig. 21 shows a schematic block diagram of an apparatus 400 for preparing a battery according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 21, the apparatus 400 for preparing a battery may include: a module 410 is provided and a mounting module 420.
Providing a module 410 for: providing a plurality of battery cells 20, wherein at least one battery cell 20 of the plurality of battery cells 20 comprises a pressure relief mechanism 213, and the pressure relief mechanism 213 is configured to be actuated to relieve internal pressure or temperature when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 reaches a threshold value; providing a bus bar component 12, wherein the bus bar component 12 is used for realizing the electric connection of a plurality of battery units 20; providing a case 11, the case 11 comprising: an electrical cavity 11 a; a thermal management component 13 for containing a fluid; a collection chamber 11 b; wherein the thermal management component 13 isolates the electrical cavity 11a from the collection cavity 11 b;
a mounting module 420 for accommodating the plurality of battery cells 20 and the bus bar member 12 in the electrical cavity 11a, wherein the collection cavity 11b collects emissions from the battery cell 20 provided with the pressure relief mechanism 213 when the pressure relief mechanism 213 is actuated.

Claims (45)
1. A battery case (11), comprising:
an electrical cavity (11a) for accommodating a plurality of battery cells (20) and a bus bar member (12), the bus bar member (12) being used for electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells (20), wherein at least one battery cell (20) of the plurality of battery cells (20) comprises a pressure relief mechanism (213), and the pressure relief mechanism (213) is used for actuating to relieve the internal pressure when the internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) reaches a threshold value;
a thermal management component (13) for containing a fluid to regulate the temperature of the plurality of battery cells (20); and the number of the first and second groups,
a collection chamber (11b) for collecting emissions from said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief mechanism (213) when said pressure relief mechanism (213) is activated;
wherein the electrical cavity (11a) and the collection cavity (11b) are arranged on both sides of the thermal management component (13), the thermal management component (13) being configured to isolate the electrical cavity (11a) from the collection cavity (11 b).
2. A cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thermal management component (13) is configured to be breakable upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism (213) to allow the fluid to escape from the interior of the thermal management component (13); wherein the collection chamber (11b) is also used for collecting emissions of the thermal management component (13).
3. A cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the heat management member (13) has a wall common to the electrical cavity (11a) and the collection cavity (11 b).
4. A box according to claim 1, characterized in that the box (11) further comprises a cover (110) having an opening, the thermal management element (13) covering the opening of the cover (110), the cover (110) and the thermal management element (13) forming the electrical cavity (11 a).
5. A cabinet according to claim 4, wherein the cover (110) includes a first portion (111) and a second portion (112) having openings at opposite sides thereof, the first portion (111) covering one side of the second portion (112) and the thermal management member (13) covering the other side of the second portion (112).
6. The box according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the box (11) further comprises:
a protective means (115) for protecting the thermal management component (13), the protective means (115) forming with the thermal management component (13) the collection cavity (11 b).
7. A cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cabinet (11) further comprises a closed enclosure (110), the heat management component (13) being disposed inside the enclosure (110) and separating the interior of the enclosure (110) into the electrical cavity (11a) and the collection cavity (11 b).
8. A box according to claim 7, characterized in that the cover (110) comprises a first part (111) and a second part (112), the second part (112) having an opening on one side to form a semi-closed structure, the thermal management component (13) being arranged inside the second part (112), the first part (111) covering the opening of the second part (112).
9. A cabinet according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the electrical cavity (11a) is insulated from the collection cavity (11b) by the thermal management member (13).
10. A case according to claim 1, wherein said thermal management member (13) is provided with a weakened area (135), said weakened area (135) being configured to be breakable upon actuation of said pressure relief mechanism (213) so as to allow the passage of the emissions from said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief mechanism (213) through said weakened area (135) into said collection chamber (11 b).
11. A cabinet as claimed in claim 10, wherein the weakened area (135) is located opposite the pressure relief mechanism (213).
12. A cabinet as claimed in claim 10, wherein the heat management member (13) is provided with a recess (134) disposed opposite the pressure relief means (213), a bottom wall of the recess (134) forming the weakened area (135).
13. A case according to claim 12, wherein said pressure relief mechanism (213) is provided to a first wall (21a) of said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief mechanism (213), said first wall (21a) being attached to said thermal management member (13), said groove (134) being provided to a surface of said thermal management member (13) facing said first wall (21 a).
14. A box according to claim 13, wherein the thermal management member (13) comprises a first heat-conducting plate (131) and a second heat-conducting plate (132), the first heat-conducting plate (131) being located between the first wall (21a) and the second heat-conducting plate (132) and being attached to the first wall (21a), a first region (131a) of the first heat-conducting plate (131) being recessed towards the second heat-conducting plate (132) to form the recess (134), the first region (131a) being connected to the second heat-conducting plate (132).
15. Tank according to claim 14, characterized in that said first zone (131a) is provided with a first through hole (136), the radial dimension of said first through hole (136) being smaller than the radial dimension of said groove (134).
16. The cabinet according to claim 15, characterized in that the thickness of the second heat-conducting plate (132) corresponding to the first through holes (136) is less than the thickness of the second heat-conducting plate (132) in the other areas.
17. A tank, as claimed in any one of claims 10 to 16, characterized in that said weakened area (135) has a thickness less than or equal to 3 mm.
18. A cabinet as claimed in any one of claims 10 to 16, wherein the weakened zone (135) has a lower melting point than the remainder of the thermal management component (13).
19. A tank, as in claim 18, characterized in that said weakened areas (135) are made of a material having a melting point lower than 400 ℃.
20. A case according to any one of claims 10 to 16, wherein the portion of the thermal management member (13) around the weakened area (135) is breakable by the emissions from the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief means (213) to allow the fluid to escape from the interior of the thermal management member (13).
21. A case according to any one of claims 12 to 16, wherein the side of said groove (134) is breakable by the emissions coming from said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief means (213) to allow said fluid to escape from the interior of said thermal management member (13).
22. Tank according to claim 21, characterized in that the radial dimension of said recess (134) tapers in a direction away from said pressure relief means (213).
23. The cabinet as claimed in claim 13, wherein the recess (134) is configured as an escape chamber that can be opened upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism (213).
24. A tank, as claimed in claim 23, characterized in that said recess (134) has a depth correlated to the size of said pressure relief means (213).
25. A bin as claimed in claim 23 or 24, wherein the depth of the recess (134) is greater than 1 mm.
26. A tank, according to claim 23 or 24, characterized in that the area of the opening of said recess (134) is correlated to the area of said pressure relief means (213).
27. The cabinet as claimed in claim 26, wherein the ratio of the area of the opening of the groove (134) to the area of the pressure relief mechanism (213) is in the range of 0.5-2.
28. A tank, as claimed in claim 23 or 24, wherein at least part of said pressure relief mechanism (213) protrudes from said first wall (21a), said evacuation chamber being adapted to receive said at least part of said pressure relief mechanism (213).
29. A cabinet according to claim 23 or 24, wherein a portion of the first wall (21a) around the pressure relief mechanism (213) is convex, and the relief chamber is configured to accommodate the convex portion of the first wall (21a) around the pressure relief mechanism (213).
30. A box according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the thermal management member (13) is provided with a second through hole (137), the second through hole (137) being configured such that, upon actuation of the pressure relief mechanism (213), emissions from the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) can pass through the second through hole (137) into the collection chamber (11 b).
31. The cabinet according to claim 30, wherein the second through hole (137) is disposed opposite to the pressure relief mechanism (213).
32. A case according to claim 30, wherein the portion of said thermal management member (13) around said second through hole (137) is breakable by the emissions from said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief means (213) to allow said fluid to escape from the interior of said thermal management member (13).
33. A case according to claim 30, wherein the wall of said second through hole (137) can be broken by the emissions coming from said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief means (213) to allow said fluid to escape from the inside of said thermal management member (13).
34. The tank according to claim 33, wherein the radial dimension of said second through hole (137) is tapered in a direction away from said pressure relief means (213).
35. The cabinet according to claim 30, wherein the area of the opening of the second through hole (137) is related to the area of the pressure relief mechanism (213).
36. The box body according to claim 35, wherein the ratio of the area of the opening of the second through hole (137) to the area of the pressure relief mechanism (213) is in a range of 0.5 to 2.
37. A container body as claimed in claim 30, wherein said pressure relief mechanism (213) is provided on a first wall (21a) of said battery cell (20) provided with said pressure relief mechanism (213), said first wall (21a) being attached to said thermal management member (13), at least a portion of said pressure relief mechanism (213) protruding from said first wall (21a), said second through hole (137) being adapted to receive said at least a portion of said pressure relief mechanism (213).
38. A case according to claim 30, wherein the pressure relief mechanism (213) is provided at a first wall (21a) of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213), the first wall (21a) is attached to the heat management member (13), a portion of the first wall (21a) around the pressure relief mechanism (213) is protruded outward, and the second through hole (137) is used for accommodating the protruded portion of the first wall (21a) around the pressure relief mechanism (213).
39. The box body according to claim 1, wherein the pressure relief mechanism (213) is provided to a first wall (21a) of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213), and a second wall of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) is provided with an electrode terminal (214), the second wall being different from the first wall (21 a).
40. A cabinet according to claim 39, wherein the second wall is disposed opposite the first wall (21 a).
41. The box according to claim 1, wherein the pressure relief mechanism (213) is a temperature-sensitive pressure relief mechanism configured to be melted when an internal temperature of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) reaches a threshold value; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
the pressure relief mechanism (213) is a pressure-sensitive pressure relief mechanism configured to be rupturable when an internal air pressure of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) reaches a threshold value.
42. A battery (10), comprising:
the battery pack comprises a plurality of battery cells (20), wherein at least one battery cell (20) in the plurality of battery cells (20) comprises a pressure relief mechanism (213), and the pressure relief mechanism (213) is used for being actuated to relieve the internal pressure when the internal pressure or the temperature of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) reaches a threshold value;
a bus member (12) for electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells (20); and
case (11) according to any of claims 1 to 41.
43. An electric device, comprising: the battery (10) according to claim 42.
44. The consumer according to claim 43, characterized in that the consumer is a vehicle (1), a ship or a spacecraft.
45. An apparatus (400) for preparing a battery, comprising:
providing a module (410) for:
providing a plurality of battery cells (20), wherein at least one battery cell (20) of the plurality of battery cells (20) comprises a pressure relief mechanism (213), and the pressure relief mechanism (213) is used for being actuated to relieve the internal pressure when the internal pressure or the temperature of the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) reaches a threshold value;
providing a bus member (12), the bus member (12) being used for realizing the electrical connection of the plurality of battery cells (20);
providing a case (11), said case (11) comprising:
an electrical cavity (11 a);
a thermal management component (13) for containing a fluid;
a collection chamber (11 b);
wherein the thermal management component (13) isolates the electrical cavity (11a) and the collection cavity (11 b);
a mounting module (420) for accommodating the plurality of battery cells (20) and the bus bar member (12) in the electrical cavity (11a), wherein the collection cavity (11b) collects emissions from the battery cell (20) provided with the pressure relief mechanism (213) when the pressure relief mechanism (213) is actuated.
