Description

Steering column and adjusting system thereof
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a car a steering system especially relates to an governing system of car steering column.
Background
An automobile steering column is an important component of an automobile steering system and is a steering mechanism for connecting a steering wheel and a steering gear. Steering columns conventionally have an adjustment system for length adjustment and/or height or inclination adjustment of the steering column. However, when the steering column is adjusted in length and height, there is some small clearance between the components of the steering column adjustment system due to tolerances in the fit and manufacturing. These small clearances are easily ignored because they do not affect the basic performance and function of the steering column. However, when the adjustment system is in an adjustable state, the manual adjustment of the height and/or length of the steering column by the driver may cause friction impact on each component, which may generate Noise, affect the NVH performance of the vehicle (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), affect the user evaluation, and leave an impression of poor product quality for the user.
Steering columns of the prior art have been disclosed with a damping device in their length adjustment system. Fig. 7 shows an exploded view of an adjustment system of a steering column of a motor vehicle according to the prior art. The steering column adjustment system of the automobile shown in fig. 7 includes a steering column 71, an upper bracket 72, a clamp bracket 73 fixedly provided on an outer wall of the steering column 71, a cam plate 74, and a handle assembly. The upper bracket 72 includes a pair of side plates that hold the clamp bracket 73. The handle assembly comprises a handle 751, a bolt 752 and a locking nut 753, wherein the bolt 752 passes through the handle 751, the cam disc 74, the first side plate of the upper bracket 72, the clamping bracket 73 and the second side plate of the upper bracket 72 in sequence and then is locked by the locking nut 753. When the handle 751 is opened, the gripping force of the upper bracket 72 and the clamp bracket 73, etc., on the steering column 71 is reduced, so that the driver can make length and/or height adjustments on the steering column.
Also shown in fig. 7 are dampers 76 respectively disposed in guide grooves 731 on both side walls of the clamp bracket 73, the dampers 76 being shaped to match the guide grooves 731 and being nested in the guide grooves 731 so that when the bolt 752 is moved along the guide grooves 731 to adjust the length of the steering column, the dampers 76 prevent the bolt 752 from colliding with the edges of the guide grooves 731, which acts to attenuate noise.
However, in the prior art, there is no effective noise reduction measure when the height (inclination) of the steering column is adjusted, so that the clamping bolt collides with the steering column bracket at the end portion when the height of the steering column is adjusted, thereby generating noise. Therefore, it is necessary to design a new adjustment system to eliminate noise generated during the adjustment of the steering column, particularly, during the height adjustment of the steering column.
