两宋时出现的玉壶春瓶和梅瓶本来是酒具，因其型制潇洒儁秀，自元以降逐步演变成纯装饰瓷。
清代是瓶类发展的顶峰，此时的瓶其实用价值已渐渐退化而装饰功能占了主导地位，如天球瓶，橄榄瓶，棒槌瓶，观音瓶，灯笼瓶，柳叶瓶，胆瓶等。特别是乾隆年间烧制的转心瓶，更是被誉为国宝。现在多为人们所熟知的有景德镇的瓷器，和青花瓷等。
而由于小孩好动，并且力量比较小，在拿瓷碗的时候容易滑落，这样就造成了瓷碗可能会掉落，极有可能摔坏、摔碎，这样就非常的麻烦。
