使用时，将茶壶3两侧的水平杆8放于凹槽4内，将活动插销7插入茶壶3的壶把6中，以水平杆8为承重轴，上抬或下降茶壶3即可倒茶。同时，茶壶3底下还可以放置酒精炉之类的加热装置，给茶壶3加热。
