现在鞋制品不仅要求满足于简单的穿着功能，更要求具有其他一些附加的功能，比如运动鞋对于鞋制品的弹性就有一定要求，且穿着舒适，而目前市场上的鞋为了满足鞋子的弹性要求，通过在鞋底的后跟装有弹性装置，主要有机械配件如弹簧，弹片等，这种结构复杂，时间久了就会失去弹性能力，而且穿着在脚上过硬，对脚底伤害较大，很难达到理想的效果。
