众所周知，养花可以丰富和调剂人们的文化生活，增添乐趣，陶冶性情，增进健康，提高文化艺术素养；另外，随着人们健康意识的不断增强，减少电脑辐射、改善、净化空气质量是办公室一族自我保护的前提，所以在桌面上放置一盆绿色花卉成为年轻人的首选和必选项目；但植物的浇灌却常常被忽略，从而导致植物寿命短、死亡率高的现象；其次，浇水时由于花盆底部的溢流口作用，多余的水会迅速流出，从而使土壤的保湿时效减少。

如图1所示。一种高效保湿花盆，其结构包括盆体，所述的盆体设有内壁11和外壁1，内壁11和外壁1均与盆底连接，在盆体中下部外壁上沿上下方向设有两个与盆体内部相通的溢水孔，所述的溢水孔内置有位于盆体内渗水毛细管，上层溢水孔内置上层毛细管2，下层溢水孔内置下层毛细管21。
渗水毛细管也可用吸水海绵等代替。
为增强刚性，内壁11和外壁1之间上部可设置连接筋。
