每当人们对烧水壶进行灌水时，不需打开盖子1，只要打开孔盖2，水龙头即可直接通过进水孔3往烧水壶里灌水，并通过壶壁的透明刻度表4观察水位，从而控制进水量，达到方便实用的效果。本实用新型尤其是在烧完开水再注水时，更能体现出其优势，即可避免壶内热蒸汽对手的灼伤。
