使用本实用新型时，首先将两个书立相对，这样可能起到夹书或放书的作用，使用折叠笔筒4时，先将折叠笔筒4上挂孔5挂入立板1上的挂销3内，这样就起到笔筒的作用，可以将钢笔、铅笔等文具放入其中，如果不需要笔筒时将折叠笔筒从挂销中取出即可，避免了因为不需要笔筒而占用桌面空间的问题。
