虽然随着电脑的普及，很多人习惯于在电脑上打字，但是笔作为一种传统的记录工具仍然使用的十分普遍，特别在学生群体中笔是不可缺少的文具。然而由于现有的笔都是细杆形状，人们在握笔时一般用到三根手指，分别是：大拇指，食指和中指；想要握紧笔，就必须拇指和食指用力挤压，这时下面的中指就必须托起上面的压力，时间长了之后，就会感到酸痛的感觉，尤其对于尚未成年的学生来说，长期这样用力握笔可能会影响手指的正常成长。
所以急需一种结构简单、使用方便，便于抓握且可降低书写时疲劳的带套垫的笔。
