使用时，将手掌托住碗底2，大拇指放在手柄3与碗体1和碗底2围成的孔内，可防止碗体1从手中滑落；在碗底2内设有空腔5，可防止端碗时烫手；在碗体1靠经边沿位置设有通孔4，可将筷子插在通孔4中，防止筷子掉在地上。
