一种新型钢木楼梯，包括踏板1和钢龙骨3，在上、下钢龙骨之间设有塑料垫板4，在楼梯的每一步钢龙骨里，放置发光装置5，钢龙骨的前端正面装有半透明塑料透光盖2。上、下钢龙骨之间的塑料垫板4的中部设有的透光孔。发光装置5可以采用灯管或发光二极管等，这些发光装置相互串接，与变压器、电源6、开关形成一闭合回路。这些灯相互通过控制电源开关的闭合，实现楼梯的灯光控制。
采用楼梯主体亮化，将灯光引入楼梯设计，利用半透明塑料的透光性，变幻出五彩斑斓的视觉效果，使灯光设计和楼梯外观的完美融合。此设计方案的出现，将楼梯在家居中的实用性提升到具有超强的现代装饰感，同时提升了品牌的形象。
