参见图1。目前的侧吸式吸油烟机通常的吸油烟作用范围覆盖了燃气灶上的两个燃气炉头，即，覆盖了两口并列的锅，因此需要使用较大功率的风机才能实现良好的效果。然而在实际使用中，对于人数较少的家庭而言，很少有需要对两口锅同时抽吸油烟的，大多数情况下只需考虑一口锅炒菜即可，对这样的需求，现有的吸油烟机不仅显得体积巨大，而且浪费能源。同时大功率的风机产生的噪声也是一种污染。
实用新型内容
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题是，提供一种侧吸式吸油烟机，具有较小的体积，并有低噪声的优点。
本实用新型解决所述技术问题采用的技术方案是，侧吸式吸油烟机，包括机体和机体前面板的进风口，在机体侧面开设有进风口。
进一步的说，所述机体侧面的进风口设置有开关挡板。
本实用新型的有益效果是，以比较小的体积和功率满足了大部分的使用需求，同时具有低噪音的优点。

具体实施方式
参见图1。本实用新型的侧吸式吸油烟机包括机体1，在机体1的前面板设置有进风口2，在机体1的侧面还设置有进风口3，进风口2和进风口3在机体内同样是经过风道通向风机。
作为一个改进的实施方式，在侧面的进风口处设置有进风口挡板，以便根据需要开启或者关闭侧面进风口。进风口挡板可以采用百叶窗形式，其具体结构属于现有技术，不再赘述。
本实用新型的正面的进风口工作范围只需覆盖一个燃气灶的炉头上方区域，对并列的另一个炉头，考虑到其大多用来煲汤、煮饭，以侧面进风口的作用区域加以覆盖。
