Abstract

本实用新型公开了一种高密度电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及若干端子,该绝缘本体上设有若干贯穿绝缘本体的端子通道,各端子设有收容于前述端子通道中的中间部,所述端子通道的底部设有向端子通道内凸伸的台阶,台阶设有上表面,端子中间部位于台阶一侧,中间部靠近台阶一侧设有向通道底部悬伸的弹臂,所述弹臂的自由末端可与台阶的上表面相抵压。该实用新型高密度电连接器端子与绝缘本体之间结合稳定。

【技术领域】
本实用新型关于一种高密度电连接器,尤其是关于一种高密度电连接器的端子与绝缘本体之间的配合结构。
【背景技术】
美国专利公告号为US 6,042,389、US 6,093,035、US 6,471,526及US6,558,170的专利揭示了类似的高密度的电连接器。这些电连接器均包括插座连接器与插头连接器。插座连接器包括插座本体,及若干收容在插座本体内的插座端子,插头连接器包括插头本体,及若干收容在插头本体内的端子。但是,插座端子与插座绝缘本体之间的结合仅仅靠挤压干涉配合,当插头连接器与插座连接器插拔次数较多次后,插座端子与插座绝缘本体之间的结合稳定性将会变差,从而影响信号的传输及使用寿命。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的所要解决的技术问题在于提供一种高密度电连接器,其端子与绝缘本体之间具有良好的稳定性。
为了达到上述目的,本实用新型高密度电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及若干端子,该绝缘本体上设有若干贯穿绝缘本体的端子通道,各端子设有收容于前述端子通道中的中间部,所述端子通道的底部设有向端子通道内凸伸的台阶,台阶设有上表面,端子中间部位于台阶一侧,中间部靠近台阶一侧设有向通道底部悬伸的弹臂,所述弹臂的自由末端可与台阶的上表面相抵压。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型高密度电连接器具有以下优点:中间部上凸伸出来的弹臂与台阶的上表面相抵压配合,从而改善了端子与绝缘本体之间的稳定性。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1-2,本实用新型揭示一种高密度电连接器100,其包括:绝缘本体10、与绝缘本体10配合的固持装置20、及若干收容于绝缘本体10与固持装置20内的端子30。
如图2所示,绝缘本体10大体呈薄长方体状,其设有平直的基部11、自基部11的周边垂直向上延伸有侧壁12。基部11与侧壁12共同围设成一收容空间13。侧壁12上设有若干凹槽121及凸块122。基部11上设有若干贯穿基部11的端子通道111,端子通道111的底部设有向端子通道111内凸伸的台阶112,台阶112设有上表面113,端子通道111的底部靠近台阶112处还设有一对台阶槽。
固持装置20大体呈一长方体平板状,其上设有若干与绝缘本体10上端子通道111对应设置的收容槽21,该收容槽21贯穿固持装置20。所述收容槽21包括中心槽211及自中心槽211两端分别向中心槽211相对两侧延伸的边槽212,固持装置20的侧边设有若干定位槽22及定位块23。
如图3所示,端子30包括平板状的中间部31、自中间部31上端向上延伸出一对弹性臂32、自弹性臂32的末端弯曲向上延伸的接触部33、及自中间部31的下端向下延伸的底部34。中间部31上向外侧冲出一弹性悬臂311,该弹性悬臂311斜向下延伸。接触部33用以与对接连接器(未图示)端子相电性接触,底部34大体呈一圆盘状结构,用以收容焊球于其上,从而与外部电路板相焊接,中间部31的相对侧边还设有凸台312。
如图4-6所示,该高密度电连接器组装时,端子30从绝缘本体10上的端子通道111的底部沿台阶槽插入端子通道111中,端子30的中间部31收容于端子通道111中的台阶112的侧边。端子30上的凸台312与台阶槽相抵靠时,弹性悬臂311与台阶112的上表面113正好可以相抵压,从而端子30在上下方向上被定位。端子30的弹性臂32及接触部33分别伸入到绝缘本体10的收容空间13中。固持装置20收容于绝缘本体10的收容空间13中,固持装置20上的收容槽21与绝缘本体10上的端子通道111一一对应。各端子30的弹性臂32及接触部33分别收容于固持装置20的收容槽21的边槽212中,从而增加了端子30的接触强度及正位度,固持装置20上的定位槽22及定位块23分别与绝缘本体10上的凸块122及凹槽121相配合,从而将固持装置20稳固地收容于绝缘本体10中。
最终完成本实用新型高密度电连接器100,该高密度电连接器100的端子30与绝缘本体10结合稳定。

Claims (8)

1.一种高密度电连接器,包括绝缘本体及若干端子,该绝缘本体上设有若干贯穿绝缘本体的端子通道,各端子设有收容于前述端子通道中的中间部,其特征在于:所述端子通道的底部设有向端子通道内凸伸的台阶,台阶设有上表面,端子中间部位于台阶一侧,中间部靠近台阶一侧设有向通道底部悬伸的弹臂,所述弹臂的自由末端可与台阶的上表面相抵压。
2.如权利要求1所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述若干端子还设有自中间部向上延伸的一对弹性悬臂,用以与对接连接器端子相电性连接。
3.如权利要求2所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述高密度电连接器还包括一个可与绝缘本体配合的固持装置,该固持装置上设有若干与绝缘本体上端子通道相应的贯穿的收容槽,各端子的悬伸臂分别收容于相应的收容槽中。
4.如权利要求3所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体还设有平板状基部,端子通道设于该基部上,绝缘本体还设有自基部周边向上延伸的侧壁,侧壁与前述基部共同围设成一收容空间,固持装置收容于该收容空间中。
5.如权利要求3所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述各收容槽包括中心槽,及自中心槽两端分别向相对两侧延伸的边槽,前述各弹性悬臂分别位于相应边槽中。
6.如权利要求3所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述固持装置的侧边设有若干定位块及定位槽,绝缘本体的侧壁上设有相应的凹陷部及凸出部,各定位块及定位槽分别与各凹陷部及凸出部相配合。
7.如权利要求3所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述固持装置大体呈一薄板状。
8.如权利要求1所述的高密度电连接器,其特征在于:所述端子通道底部靠近台阶处还设有台阶槽,各端子中间部两侧设有凸台,凸台与台阶槽相抵靠配合。
