本实用新型属于陶瓷弥散相强化金属和金属基复合材料制备领域。它利用机械合金化法,在增强相陶瓷颗粒表面粘结一层在基体合金冶炼温度下可发生放热化学反应的金属粉末。将陶瓷和金属混合粉末冷压成块状。在基体合金冶炼的后期,将块状混合粉末加入到液态合金中,待陶瓷颗粒均匀进入到液态合金中后,立即浇铸,便可得到陶瓷相弥散强化合金或陶瓷颗粒增强金属基复合材料。该方法大大降低了该类材料的制备成本,对复杂构件可近终形成形。
Description
本发明属于陶瓷相弥散强化合金及其颗粒增强金属基复合材料的制备工艺领域,特别适用于氧、碳、氮化物陶瓷相(Y2O3、ThO2、Al2O3、WC、TiC、TiN等)弥散强化合金及其颗粒增强金属基复合材料的原位制备。
随着现代工业的发展,单纯的金属材料已不能满足特定工业领域服役构件对材料性能的要求。在金属材料中引入少量弥散陶瓷相(一般为含量小于4体积%,尺寸为5~100nm的Y2O3或ThO2氧化物陶瓷颗粒)所开发的氧化物弥散强化合金,以及引入大量尺寸较大的陶瓷颗粒(一般为含量大于5体积%,尺寸为1~50μm的陶瓷颗粒)所开发的颗粒增强金属基复合材料可使材料的室温强度、高温强度以及蠕变强度和耐磨性能等大幅度提高,从而使该类材料在航空、冶金、化工、汽车等工业领域具有广阔的应用前景。
传统上制备氧化物陶瓷相弥散强化合金是采用机械合金化粉末冶金法。通过合金粉末与一定量细小氧化物陶瓷粉末的机械合金化、装罐冷压、除气后热(等静)压和热挤压后而制成。颗粒增强金属基复合材料的制备,除了类似的粉末冶金工艺外,还有半凝固搅拌浇铸工艺、共溅射沉积工艺、液态金属渗透工艺、XD原位生成工艺和液态金属定向氧化工艺等。半凝固搅拌浇铸工艺只限于制备基体合金液-固相区温度范围比较宽的金属基复合材料。而其它工艺不是在增强相类型、含量及尺寸上有一定的限制,就是工艺过程比较复杂,使所制备复合材料的成本比较高。该类陶瓷相弥散强化合金和颗粒增强金属基复合材料最经济和简单的制备工艺就是采用传统的合金冶炼浇铸方法,同时将增强相陶瓷颗粒在基体合金冶炼后均匀地加入到凝固合金中。但是,液态金属通常是不浸润陶瓷颗粒的,这使得陶瓷增强相颗粒很难进入到液态金属中去。研究表明,要使陶瓷增强相颗粒进入到液态金属中,液态金属在陶瓷相表面上的浸润角必须小于90°。这在正常的合金冶炼浇铸温度下是很难实现的。若在陶瓷相颗粒与液态金属界面引入化学反应便可大幅度地提高液态金属在陶瓷相颗粒表面的浸润性。当增强相颗粒尺寸及含量合适,在合金正常的冶炼温度下,在放热反应离散力和电磁力的搅拌下便会均匀地进入到液态金属中去。对于特定尺寸和形状的构件型坯,浇铸后便可近终形地得到弥散陶瓷相强化合金或颗粒增强金属基复合材料的构件。对于陶瓷相弥散强化合金,由于具有一定的热塑性,可同传统金属材料一样进行后续的热锻造或热挤压加工变形,从而进一步提高材料的性能。
本发明的目的就是提供一种工艺简单、经济、合理,而且不受构件尺寸和形状限制的陶瓷相弥散强化合金及颗粒增强金属基复合材料的熔炼制备方法。
为了达到上述目的,本发明陶瓷相弥散强化合金及颗粒增强金属复合材料制备方法,其特点是于利用机械混合或机械合金化法,在增强相陶瓷粉末表面粘结一层在基体合金冶炼温度下可发生放热化学反应的金属粉末,在球磨机中的机械混合或机械合金化时间不小于2小时,将金属与陶瓷混合或合金化后的粉末经冷压变成块状,压力为10-50MPa;所述的陶瓷粉末指氧化物陶瓷(Y2O3、ThO2、Al2O3),碳化物陶瓷(WC、TiC),硼化物陶瓷(TiB2)和氮化物陶瓷(TiN),所述的金属粉末可为纯镍粉、纯铝粉以及镍粉和铝粉原子配比在1∶1-1∶3,可发生放热反应,并生成金属间化合物的机械混合或机械合金化金属粉末,所述的基体合金可为铁基合金、镍基合金、铝合金、镍-铝或钛-铝金属间化合物;在基体合金真空感应熔炼的后期,将准备好的冷压成块状的陶瓷/金属机械混合或机械合金化粉末加入到液态基体合金中,利用陶瓷颗粒表面金属粉末的放热反应使液态基体合金在陶瓷粉末表面的浸润性提高,从而在反应离散力和电磁力的搅拌下使陶瓷粉末均匀地进入到液态基体合金中,浇铸后可得到陶瓷相弥散强化合金或陶瓷颗粒增强金属基复合材料。
上面所述的陶瓷粉末的粒度为0.02~40μm。
上面所述的金属粉末的粒度为0.02-40μm。
上面所述的金属粉末中的纯镍粉可用金属钛粉末替代。
上面所述陶瓷粉末与所述金属粉末的体积比为1∶3-1∶10。
在上述方法中,对于镍-铝或钛-铝金属间化合物为基的颗粒增强复合材料,可直接将机械混合或合金化后冷压成块状的陶瓷粉末与具有一定配比的金属镍粉与铝粉(或钛粉与铝粉)的块状混合粉末在真空炉中感应重熔浇铸即可。
在上述方法中,所制备陶瓷相弥散强化合金或颗粒增强复合材料中陶瓷增强相的含量为0.8-25体积%。
本发明设计思想是:首先根据设计者对所制备弥散陶瓷相强化合金或颗粒增强金属基复合材料中对陶瓷强化相类别、尺寸和含量的要求,将一定尺寸的陶瓷粉末按一定体积比与一定配比的金属镍粉(或钛粉)和铝粉经机械混合或机械合金化,使陶瓷粉末表面粘结一定量的镍粉和铝粉(或在陶瓷粉末表面利用其它方法沉积一定配比的镍(或钛)和铝),将混合或机械合金化后的混合粉末经冷压变成块状,在所制备材料基体合金感应熔炼的后期,将制备好的块状混合粉末加入到液态基体合金中。在感应熔炼温度下,粘结在陶瓷粉末表面的镍粉(或钛粉)与铝粉将发生放热反应:(或),形成金属间化合物,同时使陶瓷粉末与液态合金界面的局部温度大幅度提高。随后,所生成的金属间化合物可熔入液态基体合金中,而液态基体合金在陶瓷粉末表面的浸润性提高,使陶瓷粉末在反应离散力和电磁力的搅拌下均匀地进入到液态金属中去。另外,也可将一定尺寸的陶瓷粉末与单一的金属粉末(镍、钛、铝等)合金化,以同样方法制成块状。对镍基合金,可选用铝粉;对铝基合金可选用镍粉或钛粉,在所制备镍基(或铝基)基体合金感应熔炼的后期加入合金化粉末块,在陶瓷粉末与液态金属界面会发生同样的放热反应,使液态金属在陶瓷颗粒表面的浸润性提高,在反应离散力和电磁力的搅拌下使陶瓷颗粒均匀地进入到液态合金中。待陶瓷颗粒均匀地进入到液态合金中时,迅速浇铸,待凝固后便可得到陶瓷相弥散强化合金或颗粒增强金属基复合材料的铸(坯)件。
对陶瓷相弥散强化合金,弥散陶瓷相颗粒粒度应在0.02-0.1μm范围内,在合金中的含量可控制在0.2~3体积%;对于颗粒增强复合材料,陶瓷增强相颗粒粒度可在0.1~40μm范围,在复合材料中的含量可控制在3~25体积%;金属镍粉(或钛粉)与铝粉机械混合或机械合金化粉末的配比可在3∶1~1∶1(原子比)范围内。若为镍基(或铝基)材料,可选用单一的铝粉(或镍粉),镍粉(或钛粉)与铝粉的粒度可根据陶瓷粉末的粒度确定,可在0.005μm~20μm范围,陶瓷粉越细,金属粉末应选取的越细,其尺寸应不大于陶瓷粉末粒度,金属粉末与陶瓷粉末的配比可根据基体成分,在(体积)配比3∶1~10∶1的范围内选取。金属粉末与陶瓷粉末在球磨机中机械混合或机械合金化2小时以上,陶瓷粉末越粗,金属粉末的量应越高。待陶瓷粉末和金属粉末机械混合均匀或机械合金化后,在10-50MPa的压力下将合金化粉末冷压成有一定强度的块状。对于上述陶瓷相(Y2O3、ThO2、Al2O3、WC、TiC、TiB2、TiN)增强的镍(钛)-铝金属间化合物为基的复合材料,也可直接将按一定配比制备好的块状混合或合金化粉末在真空感应炉中重新熔化,然后浇铸成形便可,所制备的金属间化合物的增强相体积分数可更高,能达到40%左右。
在真空感应炉中按传统工艺参数熔炼基体合金,在合金浇铸前加入压制的机械混合或机械合金化混合粉末块体。加入的重量是根据所设计材料中强化(增强)陶瓷相的体积含量、所冶炼基体合金的重量与密度、陶瓷相的比重、在合金化粉末中陶瓷粉末与金属粉末的体积比、陶瓷粉末的密度、金属粉末中镍(或钛)与铝的原子比、镍(或钛)与铝粉末的密度等参数确定。其表达式为:W=V2·WM·dcdM(1+1V0·dMPd1)]]>式中V2为所设计材料中陶瓷增强相的体积比,WM为所冶炼基体合金的重量,dc为陶瓷相的密度,dM为基体合金的密度V0为合金化粉末中陶瓷粉与金属粉的体积比,d1为陶瓷粉末密度,dMP为金属粉末密度,其值可由下式确定:dMP=(R+1)·dNi·dAl(R·dAl+dNi)]]>式中R为镍(或钛)与铝粉的重量比,可由其原子比和其原子量得到。dAl、dNi为铝粉和镍粉的比重。待加入的陶瓷粉进入到液态合金中后,电磁搅拌1-2分钟后立即浇铸,便得到陶瓷相弥散强化的合金或颗粒增强复合材料的铸(坯)件。对陶瓷相弥散强化的合金由于具有一定的热塑性,可进行后续的锻造或热挤压等热加工,以改善其性能。
采用本发明与现有粉末冶金等技术工艺相比较,具有工艺简单、经济、操作方便,从而使所制备材料的成本大幅度降低。另外,对所浇铸构件不受形状尺寸的限制。对弥散陶瓷相强化合金,因增强相比较细小,含量比较低,因而材料仍具有相当于基体合金的热塑性,可进行热锻造或热挤压变。
实施例根据本发明的方法,采用不同类别的陶瓷粉和金属粉末进行了10组试验,所得到的陶瓷相弥散强化合金与颗粒增强金属基复合材料中的陶瓷相颗粒可均匀地分布在基体合金中。表1列出了相应的实施例。

Claims (7)
1.陶瓷相弥散强化合金及颗粒增强金属基复合材料制备方法,其特征在于利用机械混合或机械合金化法,在增强相陶瓷粉末表面粘结一层在基体合金冶炼温度下可发生放热反应或可与基体合金发生反应的金属粉末,在球磨机中的机械混合或机械合金化时间不小于2小时,将金属与陶瓷混合粉末经冷压变成块状,压力为10-50MPa;所述的陶瓷粉末指氧化物陶瓷(Y2O3、ThO2、Al2O3),碳化物陶瓷(WC、TiC),硼化物陶瓷(TiB2)和氮化物陶瓷(TiN),所述的金属粉末可为纯镍粉、纯铝粉以及镍粉和铝粉原子配比在1∶1-1∶3,反应后生成金属间化合物的混合粉末或合金化金属粉末,所述的基体合金可为铁基合金、镍基合金、铝合金、镍铝或钛铝金属间化合物;在基体合金真空感应熔炼的后期,将准备好的冷压成块状的陶瓷/金属混合粉末或合金化粉末加入到液态基体合金中,利用陶瓷颗粒表面金属粉末的放热反应使液态基体合金在陶瓷粉末表面的浸润性提高,从而在反应离散力和电磁力的搅拌下使陶瓷粉末均匀地进入到液态基体合金中,浇铸后得到陶瓷相弥散强化合金或陶瓷颗粒增强金属基复合材料。
2.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于所述的陶瓷粉末的粒度为0.02~40μm。
3.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于所述的金属粉末的粒度为0.02-40μm。
4.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于所述的金属粉末中的纯镍粉可用金属钛粉末替代。
5.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于所述陶瓷粉末与所述金属粉末的体积比为1∶3-1∶10。
6.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于对于镍-铝或钛-铝金属间化合物为基的颗粒增强复合材料,可直接将经机械混合或机械合金化后冷压成块状的陶瓷粉末与具有一定配比的金属镍粉与铝粉(或钛粉与铝粉)的块状混合粉末在真空炉中感应重熔浇铸即可。
7.根据权利要求1所述方法,其特征在于所制备陶瓷相弥散强化合金或颗粒增强复合材料中陶瓷增强相的含量为0.8-25体积%。
