Description

Traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating herpes zoster and preparation method thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of biological medicines, in particular to a traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating herpes zoster and a preparation method thereof.
Background
Herpes Zoster (HZ) is an acute infectious skin disease caused by reactivation of Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV). The virus appears as chickenpox when it is first infected, and the virus is latent in the spinal cord postganglion or cranial ganglion after healing. When the immunity of the organism is reduced (such as aging, chronic diseases, immunosuppression, etc.), the virus can be reactivated and spread to the skin along nerve fibers to cause herpes zoster.
At present, the incidence rate of the herpes zoster is increased year by year, modern western medicine mainly depends on antiviral drugs, vegetative nerve and symptomatic pain relieving treatment, but about 9% -34% of patients with the herpes zoster can have post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN), the pain rating can reach more than 7 levels, the quality of life is seriously influenced, and the satisfaction degree is low. The existing treatment means (such as gabapentin and pregabalin) can only relieve partial symptoms and cannot radically treat the symptoms.
The mechanism of the herpes zoster pain mainly comprises ① that the herpes zoster virus has neurotropic property and is hidden in spinal nerve rear root ganglion or cranial nerve sensory ganglion after infection. When the body's immunity declines, the virus re-activates and spreads along nerve fibers, directly invading the ganglion, causing nerve inflammation and injury, causing neuralgia. The myelin sheath of the nerve is destroyed during the viral replication, which results in abnormal nerve conduction, abnormal electrical signals, and pain. ② Viral infections activate the body's immune system, triggering an inflammatory response. During this process, various inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandins, interleukins, etc., are released. These inflammatory mediators make nerve endings more sensitive to pain, thereby exacerbating the extent of pain. At the same time, the inflammatory response can cause damage to nerve cells, further stimulating nerve endings, and exacerbating pain symptoms. ③ Some patients may continue to experience pain after the rash has subsided, a condition known as post-natal neuralgia. The damaged nerve fibers continue to spontaneously discharge, forming a pathologic pain loop, resulting in abnormal and persistent pain sensation.
Therefore, how to shorten the course of disease after the disease, promote the repair of local skin injury, effectively relieve pain and postnatal nerve pain in the course of disease, and is a problem which should be solved by the recovery treatment of herpes zoster.
