Referring to fig. 1 and 2, the present embodiment provides a glass with an insert, which can be applied to vehicles such as automobiles, trains, motor cars, ships, airplanes, etc., and also can be applied to the building field such as doors and windows, curtain walls, etc.
An edge-covering glass with an insert comprises a glass body 1, an edge-covering 2 and a first insert 3. The glass body 1 includes opposite upper and lower surfaces. The glass body is provided with a first through hole 11 penetrating through the glass body 1 along a first direction A, wherein the first direction A is the thickness direction of the glass body 1. The wrapping 2 is used for wrapping the edge of the first through hole 11. The first insert 3 is fixed to the glass body 1 by the binding 2. The first insert 3 includes a first base 31, a fixing portion 32, and a connecting portion 34, where the first base 31 is located above the glass body, one end of the fixing portion 32 is connected with the first base 31, and the other end extends toward the center of the first through hole. The fixing portion 32 is provided with a third through hole 321 penetrating the fixing portion 32 along the first direction a, and a projection of the third through hole 321 along the first direction a is located in a projection of the second through hole 21.
The glass body 1 includes opposite upper and lower surfaces. The glass body 1 is provided with a first through hole 11, and the first through hole 11 may be provided in the middle of the glass body 1. The first through hole 11 may be provided at the edge of the glass body 1. The glass body 1 may be, but is not limited to, tempered glass, laminated glass, single-layer glass, or double-layer glass.
The covering edge 2 is a member for wrapping the glass body 1 and fixing the first insert 3 and the glass body 1. The selvedge 2 wraps around the edge of the first through hole 11. The wrapping 2 may be made of a soft material such as TPE or PVC. In the injection molding process, the soft edge-covering 2 wraps the edge of the first through hole 11 and covers the first insert 3 and the glass body 1 together, so that the problems of poor edge grinding or edge bursting of the edge of the glass body 1 are solved, and the strength of glass is improved. And soft materials can generate certain deformation in the locking process, can provide larger contact area, play a certain buffering role and prevent the bolt from loosening after being mounted.
As shown in fig. 2, the edge 2 wraps around the edge of the glass body 1, and also wraps around the first through hole 11. After wrapping the first through hole 11 with the wrapping 2, a new through hole, i.e. the second through hole 21, is formed. The second through holes 21 and the first through holes 11 correspond in position and shape. The diameter of the second through hole 21 is smaller than the diameter of the first through hole 11.
As shown in fig. 3, the first insert 3 is a member for increasing the overall strength of the binding glass. The first insert 3 is provided in a perforated plate-like structure. Specifically, the first insert 3 is made of a material having a certain hardness, and may be made of metal, hard plastic, or the like. The first insert includes a first base 31, a fixing portion 32, and a connecting portion 34.
As shown in fig. 4, the first base 31 is wrapped in the wrapping edge 2 and is located above the glass body. Specifically, the first base 31 may be disposed in a direction parallel to the glass body 1. So arranged, the first base 31 can uniformly disperse the pressing force applied to the glass body 1, thereby reducing the uneven stress of the glass body.
The fixing portion 32 is for contacting and mounting the accessory. One end of the fixing portion 32 is connected to the first base portion 31 through the connecting portion 34, and the other end extends into the second through hole 21. The fixing portion 32 protrudes into the second through hole 21 so that the mounting position of the accessory is transferred from the surface of the glass body 1 to the second through hole 21. The fixing portion 32 is provided with a third through hole 321, and the accessory can be penetrated out from the third through hole 321. The diameter of the third through hole 321 is smaller than that of the first through hole, and the force is applied to the fixing portion 32 at the time of attachment without directly acting on the glass body.
The fixing portion 32 extends into the second through hole 21, and the mounting position is transferred from the surface of the glass body 1 into the first through hole 11, and the locking force at the time of mounting the accessory is applied to the fixing portion 32. So set up, fixed part 32 and glass body 1 are not in the coplanar position, and effort when locking can not direct conduction to glass body 1, avoid glass body 1 to receive too big pressure.
The fixing portion 32 is provided with a third through hole 321 penetrating the fixing portion 32 in the first direction a, and a projection of the third through hole 321 in the first direction a is located within a projection of the second through hole 21. So arranged, the attachment is secured through both the second through hole 21 and the third through hole 321.
Unlike the prior art, the above technical solution not only can enhance the structural strength of the glass, but also can concentrate the locking force of the accessory when the accessory is fixed on the fixing part 32 without directly acting on the glass body 1 by arranging the first insert 3 with the fixing part 32 at one side of the glass body 1, thereby reducing the risk of breakage of the glass body 1; the edge of the first through hole 11 is wrapped by the wrapping edge 2, so that the problems of poor edging or edge burst and the like can be solved, and a more evidence and safer hole boundary surface can be provided.
In some other embodiments, the fixing portion 32 extends to the inside/above/below the first through hole 11. The thickness and effect of the mounting on the first insert 3 are different due to the different shape and thickness of the different appendages. As shown in fig. 4, the fixing portion 32 extends above the first through hole 11, and the connection position of the accessory and the first insert 3 is located above the first through hole 11. As shown in fig. 2, the fixing portion 32 extends into the first through hole 11, and the connection position of the accessory and the first insert 3 is located in the first through hole 11. By doing so, the height difference between the attachment and the glass body 1 can be reduced. As shown in fig. 5, the fixing portion 32 extends to the lower side of the first through hole 11, so that the attachment can be lowered in height on the glass body 1. By adjusting the position of the fixing portion 32, the attachment position of the attachment is adjusted, and the thickness of the hemming glass is reduced. The position of the fixing portion 32 is adjusted according to the actual requirement of accessory installation, so that the influence of excessive protrusion of the accessory relative to the surface of the glass body on the use experience and the attractive effect can be avoided.
In some other embodiments, the upper surface of the fixing portion 32 is provided with a positioning portion for positioning an accessory for mounting on the first insert 3.
The accessory is intended to be mounted on the first insert 3. The accessory may be, without limitation, a wiper blade, a rearview mirror, an antenna, a bracket, or the like. Because there may be some offset when the accessory is mounted on the glass, the positioning accuracy is inaccurate, thereby affecting the final mounting accuracy of the accessory. In order to overcome the above problems, a positioning portion is provided on the upper surface of the fixing portion 32 to help position the accessory on the glass, thereby achieving accurate installation. Specifically, the positioning portion is provided on the surface of the first insert 3 that contacts the accessory. The positioning part can be a convex structure or a groove structure with a certain shape. The area and the shape of the positioning part can be matched with the shape and the size of the accessory, so that a more accurate positioning effect is realized.
In some other embodiments, the positioning portion is a sinking platform surrounded by the fixing portion 32 and the connecting portion 34 or the covered edge 2 on the connecting portion 34. As shown in fig. 5, the connecting portion 34 has a binding edge, and the fixing portion 32 may enclose a sink with the binding edge. As shown in fig. 6, when no binding is provided on the connecting portion 34, the fixing portion 32 and the connecting portion 34 enclose a sinking platform. Specifically, the positioning portion is recessed toward the first direction a. The size and shape of the positioning part are matched with the shape of the accessory. The end surface of the accessory, which is contacted with the first insert 3, is sunk into the positioning part, so that the accessory is quickly positioned, and the contact area of the accessory and the glass body is increased.
In some other embodiments, the first base 31 is provided with a first protrusion 33, the first protrusion 33 being in contact with the glass body. The number of the first protrusions 33 is plural, and the intervals are distributed on the surface of the first insert 3. The first base 31 is provided with a first protrusion 33, and the first protrusion 33 can contact with and support the glass body. After the first protrusion 33 is provided, other parts of the first base 31 will always keep a certain distance from the glass body, so that the binding liquid can be filled into the distance between the first insert 3 and the glass body 1, and the acting force of the clamping force on the glass body can be reduced. The first protrusion 33 also plays a role in preventing the first insert 3 from falling off from the wrapping edge and shaking up and down when the loading road runs.
In some other embodiments, a second insert 4 is also included. The second insert 4 is fixed to the glass body 1 by the binding 2. The second insert 4 includes a second base 41 and a supporting portion 42 wrapped in the wrapping edge 2, the second base 41 is located below the glass body 1 and opposite to the first base 31, and the supporting portion 42 is disposed on the first base 31 and contacts the fixing portion 32.
The second insert 4 corresponds to the first insert 3 in position, and the second insert 4 and the first insert are respectively and correspondingly arranged on two sides of the glass body 1. If the first insert 3 is disposed on the upper side of the glass body 1, the second insert 4 is disposed on the lower side of the glass body 1. If the first insert 3 is disposed on the lower side of the glass body 1, the second insert 4 is disposed on the upper side of the glass body 1.
