本申请实施例公开了一种用于非地面网络NTN中的上行定时提前量有效时间的确定方法及其装置，可以应用于NTN网络系统中，该方法包括：终端设备接收网络设备配置的配置信息；配置信息中至少包括终端设备用于计算上行定时提前量TA有效定时器时长时所使用的配置参数；终端设备根据配置参数计算TA有效定时器的时长，并根据TA有效定时器的时长，确定TA的有效时间。通过实施本申请实施例，可以确保在NTN网络中能够保持有效上行同步。
