1. A hair styling apparatus (1) comprising:
a jaw assembly (10) comprising a first jaw (11) having a first plate (12) and a second jaw (13) having a second plate (14), wherein the first jaw (11) and the second jaw (13) are hingedly connected to each other to thereby enable an open position of the jaw assembly (10) for receiving hair between the first plate (11) and the second plate (13) and a closed position for styling hair between the first plate (11) and the second plate (13),
a heater arrangement (20) configured to heat at least one of the first plate (11) and the second plate (13); and
a hair moisture control mechanism (30) configured to supply a liquid mist (16) between the first plate (11) and the second plate (13) in the closed position of the jaw assembly (10), the hair moisture control mechanism (30) comprising a tank (35) configured to contain a liquid, characterized in that the hair moisture control mechanism (30) comprises a two-fluid nozzle (31) having at least one outlet (32) configured to emit the liquid mist (16) and an air pump (33), wherein both the air pump (33) and the tank (35) are in fluid communication with the two-fluid nozzle (31).
2. A hair styling device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the hair humidity control mechanism (30) is arranged to draw liquid from the tank (35) as a result of the air flow generated by the air pump (33).
3. The hair styling device (1) of any of claims 1 to 2, wherein the hair humidity control mechanism (30) comprises a controller (40) configured to control operation of the hair styling device (1) according to one of at least two different wet operation modes involving actuation of the hair humidity control mechanism (30), wherein each of the respective wet operation modes involves operation of a different pulse rate of the air pump (33).
4. A hair styling device (1) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the hair humidity control mechanism (30) comprises a user interface (41) configured to enable a user to set one of the respective wet operation modes.
5. A hair styling device (1) as claimed in claim 4, wherein the user interface (41) comprises a button (42) configured to be positioned in one of at least two predetermined positions.
6. The hair styling apparatus (1) as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5, wherein the hair moisture control mechanism (30) comprises a liquid delivery system (36) configured to deliver the liquid from the tank (35) to the two-fluid nozzle (31), the liquid delivery system (36) comprising a valve.
7. The hair styling apparatus (1) as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6, wherein the hair humidity control mechanism (30) comprises a gas delivery system (34) configured to deliver gas from the gas pump (33) to the two-fluid nozzle (31), the gas delivery system (34) comprising a heater.
