Description

Method for retrofitting a spinning machine and improved spinning machine resulting from said method
Object of the Invention
The invention relates to a method for retrofitting a yarn twisting machine and/or spinning machine and a yarn twisting machine and/or spinning machine retrofitted according to said method, as described in the title of this specification, providing the advantages and novel features described in detail below and giving improvements to the prior art for the uses related thereto.
The object of the present invention is a yarn twisting and/or spinning machine modified to perform said yarn twisting and/or spinning by rotating the yarn with a plurality of balloon areas, comprising an accessory that increases the height of the zone of the balloon areas, i.e. the separation distance between the guiding means in the feeding area of the yarn and the twisting means for winding the yarn to the take-up spool, the essential aspect of the invention therefore being a method for modifying a yarn twisting and/or spinning machine, which by adding one accessory on said machine increases the height of the balloon areas, i.e. the separation distance between the guiding means in the feeding area of the yarn and the take-up means of the spool of said yarn for winding it to the take-up spool, without modifying other elements thereof, the yarn twisting and/or spinning machine modified to perform the spinning and/or twisting process with only one balloon area.
Technical Field
The field of application of the invention belongs to the industrial field related to the manufacture of yarn twisting machines and/or spinning machines.
Background
In the textile industry, particularly in the yarn twisting and spinning industry, continuous ring spinning machines, ring twisters, multi-twisting machines, two-for-one twisting machines, vertical wiring machines (vertical wiring machines), two-for-one twisting machines, and the like are used.
All these machines are forced to rotate the yarn at a certain distance from the centre of rotation in order to twist the yarn, in order to save space occupied by a part of the machine, which produces a pattern of revolutions called "balloon". The balloon is defined by a rotating volume or zone having a central axis of rotation, e.g., having a conical volume.
In the past, manufacturers of spinning machines and twisting machines tended to eliminate or reduce the balloon by physically limiting it to avoid an increase in the balloon diameter and to reduce the height of the balloon as much as possible, to reduce the tension generated in the yarn used in the twisting and/or spinning process, and to avoid potential damage to the yarn that could affect its quality and to avoid yarn breakage during production, thus limiting the rotational or angular speed and adversely affecting productivity.
However, the applicant himself discloses, by means of its patent WO2017IB52009, a yarn twisting and/or spinning method to avoid said problem by replacing a single area with a plurality of balloon areas, i.e. a method in which the yarn passes between yarn feeding devices (e.g. at least one spool) traveling towards a yarn take-up device connected to motor driving means to rotate the yarn winding device at a predetermined speed, wherein the balloon area is generated at a point located between the feeding device and the winding device due to the presence of the twisting device, in particular with the difference that the rotation speed value of the yarn twisting device is such that the trajectory followed by the yarn between the feeding device and the take-up (or winding) device due to the braking of the twisting device generates a helical trajectory having an oscillating helical diameter over the entire existing distance between the feeding device and the yarn take-up and/or winding device, in such a way as to generate a hyperboloid structure having at least one revolution structure forming at least two balloon areas consecutive to each other, and this can be carried out by means of a structure comprising 2 to 20 balloon areas.
According to said method, the working tension is counteracted by means of the twisting of the several balloon regions, so that the tension generated by the twisting device is lower than that generated during conventional spinning and/or twisting, which in turn provides significant advantages.
In order to increase the number of balloon areas and thus hyperboloid structures, the method of the cited document envisages increasing the height of the zones occupied by the balloon areas, preferably so that said height is at least twice the diameter of the resulting balloon areas.
Furthermore, since this type of machine is costly, in order to apply the method, it is common to modify the machine so as to increase the separation distance between the guiding device, located at the upper part of the balloon area, below the yarn feed area, and the twisting device of the yarn for winding the yarn to the take-up spool, located at the lower part of the balloon area.
The problem is that, even if the cost is not as expensive as the manufacture of a new machine, the improvement is so far very expensive and difficult to carry out, since it is based, in a broad sense, on an upper element of the "cutting" machine covering the area of the guide and feed means of the yarn, and by adding elements such as supports or others, for example bridge-type posts and bridge-type profiles, the upper element is positioned at a higher position which increases the above-mentioned distance with respect to the twisting device. It should be noted that these machines generally comprise a plurality of parallel elements which simultaneously spin and twist the same plural number of yarns.
The object of the present invention is therefore to develop an improved machine to increase the height of the zones occupied by said balloon area by applying a method of making such an improvement which is simpler, easier to carry out and therefore more practical and economical than the methods by the systems currently used.
Disclosure of Invention
The method for retrofitting a yarn twister and/or spinning machine and the improved yarn twister and/or spinning machine according to the proposed method solve all the mentioned problems and are of significant novelty in their scope of protection, since according to their implementation the above mentioned objects are satisfactory and their features are conveniently included in the final protected solution contained in the present description.
More specifically, as mentioned above, the machine proposed by the present invention is a yarn twisting and/or spinning machine modified to carry out said yarn twisting and/or spinning process by rotating said yarn with a plurality of balloon areas and for this purpose, unlike the systems currently used, which comprise raising a set of elements of the machine that feed the yarn and determine its guide means, to increase the height of the zone occupied by the balloon areas, i.e. the separation distance between the guide means in the yarn feeding area and the twisting means of the yarn for winding it to the take-up spool, the machine of the present invention achieves the same effect simply with an additional guide accessory, i.e. by increasing the separation distance between the guide means in the yarn feeding area and the twisting means of said yarn winding it to the take-up spool.
Advantageously, said additional guide accessory replaces the conventional guide means of the yarn and consists, for example, of a ring, a clamp or similar accessory located at a certain distance above or below the yarn feed drum, which increases the height of the zone of the balloon region to allow twisting of the yarn by forming more than two balloon regions located at a point just below or even above the yarn feed drum to increase the separation distance between the guide means in the yarn feed region and the twisting means of said yarn winding said yarn to the take-up spool by raising the position of the means.
The additional accessory may be fixed to the yarn feeding drum or any other fixed part of the yarn twisting machine and/or spinning machine. Since it is an additional accessory, it can be flexibly fixed to the machine without the need to modify the yarn twisting machine and/or spinning machine.
In a first variant of embodiment, therefore, the additional guide appendix consists of a gripper mounted in the machine just where the yarn exits the drum constituting its feed, said gripper being provided with one or more guides which guide the yarn at the upper end of the band of balloon regions, thus increasing the height of said band so that the two or more balloon regions can be present when twisting the yarn.
In a second variant of embodiment, the aforementioned additional guide appendix, before twisting the yarn, consists of a yarn lifting mechanism, for example a set of rollers, optionally connected to a conveyor belt (strip), along which the yarn moves forming a loop on exiting the feed roller, placed in such a way that: the loop is above the point where the yarn is lifted from the feed device prior to twisting the yarn, thereby increasing the height of the zone of the balloon region so that there may be more than two balloon regions when twisting the yarn. Another example of a yarn lifting mechanism prior to twisting the yarn is through a roller device.
As mentioned above, the present invention relates to a method for modifying a yarn twisting and/or spinning machine into the above-mentioned improved machine for carrying out said yarn twisting and/or spinning process by increasing the height of the zone covered by the balloon area, i.e. by increasing the separation distance between the guiding means of the yarn and the twisting means of said yarn, making them rotate together with a plurality of balloon areas, comprising at least the following phases:
-a first phase of removing the guide means of the yarn located at a distance below the feeding means; and
-a second stage incorporating an additional guide accessory placed just behind the yarn feeding device, wherein such additional guide accessory consists of a clamp or a roller set optionally with a conveyor belt, as described in the previous paragraph.
In this way, the yarn twisting and/or spinning machine is improved by: the height of the band covered by the balloon area is increased so that it has more than two balloon areas where the yarn is twisted, thus increasing the separation distance between the guiding means in the yarn feeding area and the twisting means of the yarn winding the yarn to the take-up spool, without the need to lift the whole set of elements consisting of guiding means and feeding means of the yarn, which requires a simpler and cheaper improvement, which can also be made faster, thus not affecting the production.
Finally, it is important to note that a preferred variant of embodiment should be one in which the additional guide accessory is a yarn lifting mechanism prior to twisting the yarn, comprising a group of connected rollers along which the yarn runs, forming a loop on exiting the feed roller, lifting the yarn above the point where it emerges from the feeder.
In a preferred embodiment, the set of rollers (32) includes a conveyor belt (33). In this embodiment, the yarn is not subjected to any friction and therefore does not deteriorate as it moves with the conveyor belt, while at the same time producing a high quality fabric with yarn has the disadvantageous feature that the fabric is produced as a result of the yarn rubbing against a guide element (such as a loop or the like).
Optionally, an additional guide appendix (3') comprises a compacting device of the wire during its lifting. The compacting device is used to reduce the fuzz of the final yarn.
For example, yarn compacting devices are well known in the conventional art and are incorporated during the final stages of yarn transport prior to spinning and changing into yarn. The compacting means may be of a mainly mechanical type or with the aid of air. We do not discuss the compacting system or device in detail, but we do focus on where it is located during the novel lifting of the yarn produced by the present invention.
The method described for retrofitting yarn twisters and/or spinning machines and the improved yarn twisters and/or spinning machines according to said method thus constitute a novelty of characteristics not known so far, giving them a sufficient basis for the exclusive rights claimed for their purpose, in combination with the reasons of their practical use.

Fig. 2 shows how, according to the prior art, the improved method of the machine described increases the height (h) of the zones of the balloon area (a) between the guiding device (3) and the twisting (4) and winding (5) devices to obtain more than two balloon areas (a), this method consisting of: in fact, all the elements located above said balloon area (a), i.e. the guide means (3) and the feeding means (1) of the yarn (2), are raised to have the necessary separation height (h) between said guide means (3) and the twisting (4) and winding (5) devices, without modifying their number or structure or configuration, by moving them to a higher position coinciding with the appropriate position, to have more than two balloon areas (a) as required.
Furthermore, as shown in fig. 3 and 4-a, 4-B, in the machine of the invention, and according to the method proposed herein, in order to make improvements to increase the height (h) of the zone of the balloon area (a) to obtain more than two balloon areas (a), it is envisaged to replace the conventional guide means (3) with an additional guide appendix (3'), located at a point just after the feed means (1) of the yarn (2), below or above the feed means (1).
More specifically, fig. 3 shows how, in a first embodiment option, said additional guide accessory (3') comprises a gripper (30), which gripper (30) is mounted in the machine just where the yarn (2) exits the drum constituting the feed (1) of the machine, and said gripper (30) can be equipped with one or more thread-guide hooks (31), which thread-guide hooks (31) guide the yarn (2) at the upper end of the band of balloon areas, increasing the height (h) of the band, so that there can be more than two balloon areas (a) when twisting the yarn.

Preferably, the above-mentioned groups of rollers (32), as a preferred variant of the additional guide appendix (3'), envisages the possibility of shifting their relative position to hold the yarn (2) at one point or another between the groups of rollers (32) in the appropriate conditions, as shown in fig. 4-a and 4-B.
In a preferred embodiment, the set of rollers (32) includes a conveyor belt (33), the conveyor belt (33) maintaining the integrity of the yarn and guiding the yarn during lifting of the yarn.
Optionally, the additional guide appendix (3') comprises a device for compacting the yarn during its lifting. The compacting device is used to reduce the yarn fuzz and thus the final yarn fuzz.
For example, the compacting means may be mechanical or by means of air.
Thus, the method of the invention comprises at least:
-a first stage of removing the conventional guide means (3) of the yarn (2) located at a distance below the feeding means (1); and
-a second stage incorporating an additional guiding accessory (3 '), before twisting the yarn, the additional guiding accessory (3') consisting of, for example, a gripper (30) or a yarn lifting mechanism, preferably comprising a roller set (32), the roller set (32) optionally having a conveyor belt (33), the additional guiding accessory (3 ') being placed just behind the feeding device (1) of the yarn, so that the additional guiding accessory (3') is positioned immediately behind the feeding device (1) of the yarn
The distance between (3') and the twisting (4) and winding (5) devices of the yarn (2) determines an increase in the height (h) between the upper and lower ends of the zone of the balloon region (a), which enables more than two balloon regions (a) to be accommodated.
Having fully described the nature of the invention and the manner of attaining it, it is not necessary to give further explanation to enable one skilled in the art to understand the scope and advantages offered thereby, and it is intended that the following claims be read in light of the accompanying drawings in which: within the scope of the invention, it is possible to implement by means of other embodiments which differ in detail from the embodiments presented as examples, but which are intended to be within the scope of the protection of the invention without altering, changing or modifying the basic principle thereof.
