Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种阻燃聚合物组合物,特别是包含两种塑性体和阻燃剂的共混物的组合物。本发明还涉及涂覆有所述聚烯烃组合物的基材和制品,以及涉及所述组合物用于涂覆基材的用途。
背景技术
涂覆有聚合物的纺织材料应用广泛,例如地毯、床垫、枕头和用于办公家具,汽车内饰等的座椅装饰。这种材料理想地具有良好的柔软度以及有吸引力的耐磨性和抗紫外线性能。同样重要的是,所述材料符合有关阻燃性的安全法规。随着消费者需求的增长和新法规的出台,新体系的开发是一个持续的过程。
迄今为止,在这种涂料中使用最广泛的聚合物是聚氯乙烯(PVC)。当PVC产品燃烧时,会产生氯化氢气体。这干扰了气相中的燃烧过程,消除了高能的H和OH自由基,这具有使燃烧的材料缺乏氧气的作用。但是,这些刺鼻的烟雾会引起其他问题,例如腐蚀。更显著地,可能是与使用PVC相关的环境挑战。PVC不是可生物降解的,实际上它根本不能降解,而且难以回收利用。因此,仍然需要寻找适合替代PVC的替代聚合物。
聚氨酯也已被使用,但是其使用并不总是与使用苛刻的清洁剂或消毒剂的环境相容。当其暴露于湿度过大或变化的温度中时,还会发生开裂。
本发明的发明人惊奇地发现,包含基于乙烯的塑性体和基于丙烯的塑性体的混合物以及阻燃剂的聚烯烃组合物具有符合工业标准的阻燃性。理想地,所述组合物还具有良好的抗紫外线性能和有吸引力的机械性能。具有良好的可再利用能力,甚至至多100%的可再利用能力的聚烯烃体系将具有特殊的价值。
发明内容
从一个方面来看,本发明提供了一种阻燃聚烯烃组合物,其包含:
a)基于乙烯的塑性体,其密度在0.850g/cm3至0.915g/cm3的范围内,以及MFR2在0.5g/10min至30g/10min的范围内;
b)基于丙烯的塑性体,其密度在0.860g/cm3至0.910g/cm3的范围内,以及MFR2在0.01g/10min至30g/10min的范围内;以及
c)阻燃剂。
从另一方面来看,本发明提供了如本文所定义的阻燃聚烯烃组合物用于涂覆基材,优选织物基材的用途。
从另一方面来看,本发明提供了用如本文所定义的阻燃聚烯烃组合物涂覆基材的方法,所述方法包括将所述组合物施涂到所述基材的表面上。

本发明的组合物包含基于乙烯的塑性体和基于丙烯的塑性体,以及阻燃剂。
如本文所用,术语“基于乙烯的塑性体”是指包含大部分量的聚合的乙烯单体(基于塑性体的重量)并且任选地可以包含至少一种共聚单体的塑性体。
如本文所用,术语“基于丙烯的塑性体”是指包含大部分量的聚合的丙烯单体(基于塑性体的重量)并且任选地可以包含至少一种共聚单体的塑性体。
基于乙烯的塑性体
基于乙烯的塑性体的密度在0.850g/cm3至0.915g/cm3的范围内,以及MFR2(190℃)在0.5g/10min至30g/10min的范围内。将理解的是,“基于乙烯的”塑性体是指其中大部分重量来自乙烯单体单元的塑性体。合适的基于乙烯的塑性体的乙烯含量可以为60重量%至95重量%,优选65重量%至90重量%,更优选70重量%至88重量%。共聚单体的贡献优选至多40重量%,更优选至多35重量%。常规乙烯塑性体的共聚单体含量是本领域技术人员熟悉的。
基于乙烯的塑性体优选为乙烯与丙烯或C4-C10α-烯烃的共聚物。合适的C4-C10α-烯烃包括1-丁烯、1-己烯和1-辛烯,优选1-丁烯或1-辛烯,更优选1-辛烯。理想地,仅存在一种共聚单体。优选地,使用乙烯和1-辛烯的共聚物。
基于乙烯的塑性体的密度在0.850g/cm3至0.915g/cm3的范围内,优选在0.855g/cm3至0.910g/cm3的范围内,例如0.858g/cm3至0.903g/cm3。
合适的基于乙烯的塑性体的MFR2(ISO 1133;190℃;2.16kg)在0.5g/10min至30g/10min的范围内,优选在2.0g/10min至20g/10min的范围内,以及更优选在5.0g/10min至15g/10min的范围内。
合适的基于乙烯的塑性体的熔点(根据ISO 11357-3:1999用DSC测量)可以低于130℃,优选低于120℃,更优选低于110℃,最优选低于100℃。合适的基于乙烯的塑性体的熔点的合理下限可以是30℃。典型的熔点范围是33℃至115℃。
此外,合适的基于乙烯的塑性体的玻璃化转变温度Tg(根据ISO 6721-7用DMTA测量)可以低于-40℃,优选低于-54℃,更优选低于-58℃。
基于乙烯的塑性体的Mw/Mn值(表示分子量分布(MWD)的宽度)优选在1.5至5.0范围内,更优选在2.0至4.5范围内,甚至更优选在2.5至4.0范围内。
基于乙烯的塑性体可以是单峰的或多峰的,优选为单峰的。
优选地,PE塑性体是茂金属催化的聚合物,尽管基于齐格勒-纳塔的聚乙烯塑性体也是可以的。
在一个实施方案中,基于乙烯的塑性体是热塑性塑性体。
尽管使用单一的基于乙烯的塑性体在本发明的范围内,但是也可以采用的两种或多种如本文所定义基于乙烯的塑性体的混合物。
合适的基于乙烯的塑性体可以是具有上述定义的性能的乙烯与丙烯或乙烯与C4-C10α-烯烃的任何共聚物,所述基于乙烯的塑性体是可商购获得的,特别是,从北欧化工公司(Borealis AG)(奥地利)以商品名Queo获得,从陶氏化学公司(DOW Chemical Corp)(美国)以商品名Engage或Affinity获得,或从三井(Mitsui)以商品名Tafmer获得。
或者,可以通过已知的方法,在一阶段或两阶段的聚合方法(包括溶液聚合、浆料聚合、气相聚合或其组合)中,在合适的催化剂(如本领域技术人员已知的氧化钒催化剂或单点位催化剂,例如茂金属或限制几何构型催化剂)存在下,来制备基于乙烯的塑性体。
优选地,这些基于乙烯的塑性体是通过一阶段或两阶段溶液聚合方法,特别是在高于100℃的温度下通过高温溶液聚合方法制备的。
这种方法基本上基于在液态烃溶剂中聚合单体和合适的共聚单体,所得聚合物可溶于所述液态烃溶剂中。在高于聚合物熔点的温度下进行聚合,结果得到聚合物溶液。将该溶液进行闪蒸以将聚合物与未反应的单体和溶剂分离。然后回收溶剂并在该过程中再循环。
优选地,所述溶液聚合方法是高温溶液聚合方法,其使用高于100℃的聚合温度。优选地,聚合温度为至少110℃,更优选地为至少150℃。聚合温度可以至多250℃。
在这种溶液聚合方法中的压力优选在10巴至100巴的范围内,优选在15巴至100巴的范围内,并且更优选在20巴至100巴的范围内。
所使用的液态烃溶剂优选为C5-12-烃,其可以未被取代或被C1-4烷基取代,例如戊烷、甲基戊烷、己烷、庚烷、辛烷、环己烷、甲基环己烷和氢化石脑油。更优选使用未被取代的C6-10烃溶剂。
适用于本发明方法的已知解决方案技术是Borceed技术。
应当理解,基于乙烯的塑性体可以含有标准的聚合物添加剂。
基于乙烯的塑性体可以以20重量%至90重量%的范围存在,但是通常其占聚合物组合物的30重量%至90重量%,其中所述重量%值是相对于组合物整体的总重量。在一个优选的实施方案中,基于乙烯的塑性体占聚合物组合物的35重量%至75重量%,例如40重量%至65重量%(相对于组合物整体的总重量)。
基于丙烯的塑性体
本发明的组合物包含密度在0.860g/cm3至0.910g/cm3的范围内并且MFR2(230℃/2.16kg)在0.01g/10min至30g/10min范围内的基于丙烯的塑性体。所述组合物仅包含如本文所定义的单一的基于丙烯的塑性体在本发明的范围内。或者,可以采用至少两种这种基于丙烯的塑性体的混合物。具有与本文针对“基于丙烯的塑性体”所定义的性能不同的额外的基于丙烯的塑性体也可以用于本发明的组合物中。
本发明的基于丙烯的塑性体通常是丙烯与乙烯或C4-C10α-烯烃的共聚物,例如丙烯与乙烯、丁烯、己烯或辛烯的共聚物。将理解的是,丙烯构成基于丙烯的塑性体中的主要组分。丙烯通常以55重量%至95重量%的量存在。如果共聚单体为乙烯,则在丙烯乙烯共聚物中乙烯的含量优选为5重量%至30重量%,例如7.5重量%至20重量%。
在所有情况下,基于丙烯的塑性体的密度在0.860g/cm3至0.910g/cm3的范围内。在优选的实施方案中,基于丙烯的塑性体的密度为0.863g/cm3至0.905g/cm3,例如0.865g/cm3至0.900g/cm3。
基于丙烯的塑性体的分子量分布(MWD)(定义为重均分子量除以数均分子量(Mw/Mn))优选为3.5或以下,或3.0或以下;或为1.8到3.0。
本发明的基于丙烯的塑性体的重均分子量(Mw)可以在很大范围内变化,但是通常在约10,000和1,000,000之间(应理解,对最小或最大Mw的唯一限制是由实际考虑确定的)。
本发明的基于丙烯的塑性体可以通过任何方法制备,并且包括由齐格勒-纳塔、CGC(限制几何构型催化剂)、茂金属和非茂金属、金属中心的、杂芳基配体催化制成的共聚物。理想地,本发明的基于丙烯的塑性体是使用茂金属型催化剂形成的。
在某些实施方案中,基于丙烯的塑性体的特征在于具有基本上全同立构的丙烯序列。“基本上全同立构的丙烯序列”是指该序列的全同立构三单元组(mm)(通过13C NMR测得)大于0.85;或者,大于0.90;在另一种选择中,大于0.92;或者大于0.93。全同立构三单元组是本领域公知的,并且例如在美国专利第5504172号和国际公开第WO 00/01745号中所述,其表示通过13C NMR光谱测定的共聚物分子链中三单元的全同立构序列。
这些共聚物包括无规、嵌段和接枝共聚物,尽管优选所述共聚物具有无规构型。在一个实施方案中,基于丙烯的塑性体优选为包含在其他全同立构的丙烯链中无规分布的乙烯的塑性体。因此可以认为是无规丙烯乙烯共聚物。然而,它不是多相共聚物。
用于本发明的基于丙烯的塑性体是可商购获得的并且可以从聚合物供应商处购买。示例包括可从陶氏化学公司(Dow Chemical Company)以商品名VERSIFY获得,或从埃克森美孚化学公司(ExxonMobil Chemical Company)以商品名VISTAMAXX获得。
基于丙烯的塑性体通常占聚合物组合物的5重量%至45重量%,其中所述重量%值是相对于组合物整体的总重量。在一个优选的实施方案中,基于丙烯的塑性体占聚合物组合物的8重量%至40重量%,例如10重量%至35重量%(相对于组合物整体的总重量)。
阻燃剂
聚烯烃组合物包含阻燃剂。应当理解,在本发明的上下文中,“阻燃剂”是指一种在火源存在时被激活,并通过各种不同的物理和化学方法防止或减缓火的进一步发展的物质。
可以采用本领域已知的任何合适的阻燃剂。可以使用单一的阻燃剂,或者可以使用两种或多种阻燃剂的混合物。
阻燃剂的示例包括磷酸硼阻燃剂;氧化镁;二季戊四醇,聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)聚合物;磷酸酯阻燃剂(例如磷酸三甲酚酯(Tricresyl phosphate));矿物,例如氢氧化铝(ATH)、氢氧化镁(MDH)、碳酸钙镁石和水菱镁矿、三氧化二锑、三水合氧化铝、红磷和硼化合物,例如硼酸盐;无机次膦酸盐和/或金属次膦酸盐,例如次膦酸和/或二次膦酸的盐或其聚合衍生物;有机卤素化合物,例如有机氯,例如氯菌酸衍生物和氯化石蜡;有机溴,例如十溴二苯醚(decaBDE)、十溴二苯乙烷、聚合溴化化合物,例如溴化聚苯乙烯、溴化碳酸盐低聚物(BCO)、溴化环氧低聚物(BEO)、十溴代二苯基氧(decabromo diphenyl oxide)、乙撑双(四溴邻苯二甲酰亚胺)、十四溴二苯氧基苯(tetradecabromodiphenoxybenzene)、乙撑二(二溴降冰片烷二酰亚胺)(ethylenebis(dibromonorbornanedi-carboximide))、四溴邻苯二甲酸酐、四溴双酚A(TBBPA)和六溴环十二烷(HBCD);磷酸盐阻燃剂,例如磷酸、亚磷酸、次磷酸、磷酸胺、磷酸三聚氰胺、磷酸二三聚氰胺、焦磷酸三聚氰胺、焦磷酸二三聚氰胺、聚磷酸铵、聚磷酸三聚氰胺、磷酸乙二胺、三聚氰胺次氮基三膦酸酯(melaminenitrilotrisphosphonate)的金属盐或其组合;有机磷化合物,特别是芳族磷酸酯,包括具有芳族基团的单磷酸酯、具有芳族基团的二磷酸酯、具有芳族基团的三磷酸酯或其任意组合。其他有机磷酸酯包括磷酸三苯酯(TPP)、间苯二酚双(磷酸二苯酯)(RDP)、双酚A磷酸二苯酯(BADP)和磷酸三甲酚酯(TCP);膦酸酯,例如甲基膦酸二甲酯(DMMP);以及次膦酸酯,例如二乙基次膦酸铝。在一类重要的阻燃剂中,化合物同时含有磷和卤素。此类化合物包括三(2,3-二溴丙基)磷酸酯(溴化三)(tris(2,3-dibromopropyl)phosphate(brominatedtris))和氯化有机磷酸酯,例如三(1,3-二氯-2-丙基)磷酸酯(氯化三或TDCPP)(tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate(chlorinated tris or TDCPP))和四(2-氯乙基)二氯异戊基二磷酸酯(V6)。
其他已知的能够使用的阻燃剂包括卤化和/或基于三聚氰胺的阻燃剂以及包含聚磷酸铵的那些阻燃剂。
三聚氰胺衍生物包括聚磷酸三聚氰胺、焦磷酸三聚氰胺和氰尿酸三聚氰胺,以及这些材料中的两种或多种的混合物。可用于本发明的组合物中的卤化阻燃剂可以选自:有机芳族卤代化合物,例如卤代的苯、联苯、酚、其醚或酯、双酚、二苯醚、芳族羧酸或多元酸、酸酐、其酰胺或酰亚胺;有机脂环族或聚脂环族卤代化合物;以及有机脂族卤代化合物,例如卤代的链烷烃、低聚物或聚合物、烷基磷酸酯或烷基异氰脲酸酯。这些组分在本领域中是众所周知的。
相对于组合物整体的总重量,阻燃剂的通常以约1.5重量%至30重量%,优选2.0重量%至30重量%,更优选5.0重量%至30重量%,尤其是10重量%至30重量%,例如15重量%至20重量%的量存在。
阻燃剂可以以纯净形式添加或作为聚合物母料的一部分添加。聚合物母料可以含有例如约2.5重量%至约60重量%浓度的阻燃剂。
理想地,阻燃剂不含卤素。
优选地,阻燃剂包含聚磷酸铵。
在特别优选的实施方案中,阻燃剂包含聚磷酸铵和硅烷官能化的乙烯共聚物的混合物。
聚磷酸铵与硅烷官能化的乙烯共聚物的重量比可以在9∶1至1∶9的范围内,优选5∶1至1∶5,甚至更优选3∶1至1∶3,例如1∶1。
聚磷酸铵可以是聚磷酸和氨的任何无机盐。聚磷酸铵通常由式[NH4PO3]n表示。该聚合化合物的链长(n)是可变的且是支化的,可以大于1000。短链和线性链APP(n<100)比长链APP(n>1000)(表现出非常低的水溶性(<0.1g/100ml))对水更敏感(水解)且热稳定性更差。
聚磷酸铵是稳定的、非挥发性的化合物。
用于本发明的阻燃剂的聚磷酸铵是可商购获得的并且可以从多个供应商处购买。示例包括可从艾迪科聚合物添加剂欧洲公司(Adeka Polymer Additive Europe)获得的ADK STAB FP-2000系列阻燃剂或从Into Chemicals获得的IC FR5110。
硅烷官能化的乙烯共聚物是包含含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元的乙烯共聚物(a)。含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元可以作为乙烯共聚物的共聚单体或作为化学接枝到聚合物上的化合物存在。
因此,在将含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元作为共聚单体掺入到聚合物(a)中的情况下,含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元在聚合物(a)的聚合过程中作为共聚单体与乙烯单体共聚。在通过接枝将含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元掺入到聚合物中的情况下,含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元在聚合物(a)聚合之后与聚合物(a)进行化学反应(也称为接枝)。化学反应,即接枝,通常使用自由基形成剂(例如过氧化物)进行。这样的化学反应可以发生在本发明的层压过程之前或期间。通常,将含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元共聚和接枝到乙烯上是众所周知的技术,并在聚合物领域有充分的文献记载,而且在技术人员的技能范围内。技术的示例包括Sioplas和Monosil方法。
在一个实施方案中,硅烷官能化的乙烯共聚物优选为选自以下的乙烯的聚合物(a):
-(a1)乙烯和含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体的共聚物;
-(a2)乙烯与选自丙烯酸(C1-C6)-烷基酯或(C1-C6)-烷基丙烯酸(C1-C6)-烷基酯共聚单体中的一种或多种极性共聚单体的共聚物,该共聚物(a2)带有含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元,并且该共聚物(a2)不同于乙烯的聚合物(a1);或
-(a3)乙烯与一种或多种(C3-C10)-α-烯烃共聚单体的共聚物,其不同于乙烯的聚合物(a1)和乙烯的聚合物(a2),并且含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元已经被接枝到其上。
众所周知,在接枝实施方案中使用过氧化物会由于同时的交联反应而降低乙烯聚合物的熔体流动速率(MFR)。结果,接枝实施方案可对作为起始聚合物的聚合物(a)的MFR的选择带来限制,该MFR的选择可对在最终用途应用中的聚合物质量产生负面影响。此外,在接枝过程中由过氧化物形成的副产物可能对在最终用途应用中的聚合物组合物的使用寿命产生负面影响。
与接枝所述单元相比,含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体共聚到聚合物主链中可以使单元的掺入更均匀。此外,与接枝相比,共聚不需要在聚合物生产之后添加过氧化物。
因此,含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元优选作为共聚单体存在于聚合物(a)中,即作为共聚单体与乙烯单体一起掺入聚合物(a1)中,在聚合物(a2)的情况下,作为共聚单体与极性共聚单体和乙烯单体一起掺入聚合物(a2)中。因此,聚合物(a2)含有两种不同的共聚单体,如上文所定义的含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体和极性共聚单体,即聚合物(a2)为三元共聚物。然而,应理解,在聚合物(a2)中,含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元也可以作为已接枝到乙烯与一种或多种极性共聚单体的共聚物上的单元存在。
在上文、下文或权利要求中,“含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体”是指含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元作为共聚单体存在。
乙烯的聚合物(a)的含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元,或优选含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体优选为由式(I)表示的可水解的不饱和硅烷化合物:

当根据下文“测定方法”中所述的“共聚单体含量”测定时,在聚合物(a)中存在的含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元(优选作为共聚单体存在)的量(mol%)优选为0.01mol%至2.0mol%,优选为0.01mol%至1.00mol%,合适地为0.05mol%至0.80mol%,合适地为0.10mol%至0.60mol%,合适地为0.10mol%至0.50mol%。
在一个实施方案(A1)中,聚合物(a)是带有含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体的乙烯的聚合物(a1)。在该实施方案A1中,聚合物(a1)不含(即没有)针对聚合物(a2)所定义的极性共聚单体。优选地,含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体是聚合物(a1)中存在的唯一的共聚单体。因此,聚合物(a1)优选通过使用自由基引发剂,在含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体存在下,在高压聚合方法中使乙烯单体共聚而生产的。

因此,聚合物(a2)最优选为乙烯与丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体以及如上所定义的含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体的共聚物,更优选为乙烯与丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体以及与乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷或乙烯基三乙氧基硅烷共聚单体的共聚物,优选为与丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体以及乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷共聚单体的共聚物。
不受任何理论的束缚,丙烯酸甲酯(MA)是唯一不能进行酯热解反应的丙烯酸酯,由于其不具有该反应路径。因此,具有MA共聚单体的聚合物(a2)在高温下不会形成任何有害的游离酸(丙烯酸)降解产物,从而乙烯和丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体的聚合物(a2)有助于其最终制品的良好质量和生命周期。例如EVA的乙酸乙烯酯单元的情况并非如此,因为EVA在高温下形成有害的乙酸降解产物。此外,其他丙烯酸酯,例如丙烯酸乙酯(EA)或丙烯酸丁酯(BA)可以进行酯热解反应,如果降解,则可能形成挥发性烯烃副产物。
在另一个实施方案(A3)中,聚合物(a)是乙烯与一种或多种(C3-C10)-α-烯烃共聚单体的共聚物的聚合物(a3),其不同于乙烯的聚合物(a1)和乙烯的聚合物(a2),并且其上已接枝了含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元。优选地,聚合物(a3)是乙烯与一种或多种(优选一种)选自(C3-C8)-α-烯烃共聚单体的聚合物。在这样的实施方案中,聚合物(a3)可以由上述针对基于乙烯的塑性体的任何实施方案进一步限定。
最优选地,聚合物(a)选自聚合物(a1)或(a2)。
聚合物(a)的熔体流动速率MFR2优选小于20g/10min,优选小于15g/10min,优选为0.1g/10min至13g/10min,优选为0.2g/10min至10g/10min,优选为0.3g/10min至8g/10min,更优选0.4g/10min至6g/10min(根据ISO 1133在190℃和2.16kg的载荷下)。
当根据ASTM D3418测量时,聚合物(a)的熔融温度优选为120℃或以下,优选为110℃或以下,更优选为100℃或以下,最优选为95℃或以下。聚合物(a)的熔融温度优选为70℃或以上,更优选为75℃或以上,甚至更优选为78℃或以上。
通常,乙烯的聚合物(a)的密度高于855kg/m3。根据ISO 1183:1987,优选密度不高于970k kg/m3,并且优选为920kg/m3至960kg/m3。
优选的聚合物(a)是乙烯与乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷共聚单体的聚合物(a1)或乙烯与丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体以及乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷共聚单体的共聚物(a2)。最优选的聚合物(a)是乙烯与丙烯酸甲酯共聚单体以及乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷共聚单体的共聚物(a2)。
组合物的聚合物(a)可以是例如可商购获得的,或者可以根据或类似于化学文献中描述的已知聚合方法制备。
在一个优选的实施方案中,聚合物(a),即聚合物(a1)或(a2),是在高压(HP)方法中,在一种或多种引发剂的存在下,使用自由基聚合反应,并任选地使用链转移剂(CTA)以控制聚合物的MFR,通过使乙烯与如上文所定义的含一个或多个硅烷基团的共聚单体(=含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元作为共聚单体存在)适当地聚合而制备的,对于聚合物(a2),还与一种或多种极性共聚单体聚合。HP反应器可以是例如众所周知的管式或高压釜反应器或其混合物,合适的是管式反应器。取决于所需的最终应用,高压(HP)聚合和调节工艺条件以进一步调整聚合物的其他性能是众所周知的,并且在文献中已有描述,并且本领域技术人员可以容易地使用。合适的聚合温度范围至多400℃,合适地为80℃至350℃,压力为70MPa,合适地为100MPa至400MPa,合适地为100MPa至350MPa。高压聚合通常在100MPa至400MPa的压力和80℃至350℃的温度下进行。这样的过程是众所周知的,并且在文献中有充分记载,并且将在下文中进一步描述。
将共聚单体(当存在一种或多种共聚单体时,包括优选形式的含一个或多个硅烷基团的单元作为共聚单体)掺入乙烯单体并控制共聚单体进料以获得所需的最终含量的所述一种或多种共聚单体可以以众所周知的方式进行,并且是在技术人员的技能范围内。
通过高压自由基聚合生产乙烯(共)聚合物的更多细节可以参见,特别是Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Engineering,卷6(1986),383-410页,和Encyclopedia of Materials:Science and Technology,2001Elsevier Science Ltd.:“Polyethylene:High-pressure,R.Klimesch,D.Littmann和F.-O.7181-7184页。
这种HP聚合导致所谓的低密度乙烯聚合物(LDPE),在本文中导致聚合物(a1)或聚合物(a2)。术语LDPE具有聚合物领域中众所周知的含义,它描述了HP中生产的聚乙烯的性能,即典型的特征(例如不同的支化结构),以区分LDPE与在烯烃聚合催化剂(也称为配位催化剂)存在下生产的PE。尽管术语LDPE是低密度聚乙烯的缩写,但该术语不应理解为限制密度范围,而是涵盖具有低、中和较高密度的类似于LDPE的HP聚乙烯。
聚合物(a3)可以商购获得,或者使用文献中充分记载的配位催化剂,通常为齐格勒-纳塔催化剂或单点位催化剂,在聚合方法中生产。方法、工艺条件和催化剂的选择在技术人员的技能范围内。或者,聚合物(a3)可以通过如上文针对基于乙烯的塑性体的方法来制备。
组合物
应该理解,除了基于乙烯的塑性体和基于丙烯的塑性体之外,本发明的组合物可以包含其他聚合物组分。可以添加这些聚合物组分以增强组合物的性能。
附加的聚合物的示例包括基于乙烯、基于丙烯或基于丁烯的聚合物和共聚物、乙烯丙烯酸共聚物、乙烯丙烯酸酯共聚物以及橡胶,例如硅橡胶、丁腈橡胶和丁基橡胶。如果任何附加的聚合物不包含氯,即所述组合物不含含氯聚合物,则是优选的。
通常,相对于组合物整体的总重量,以0.5重量%至20重量%,例如1重量%至10重量%,例如3重量%的量添加附加的聚合物组分。
“一种或多种聚合物组分”在本文中不包括阻燃剂的任何一种或多种载体聚合物和/或任选的一种或多种添加剂,例如阻燃剂的母料中使用的一种或多种载体聚合物或在组合物中任选存在的一种或多种添加剂。
在一个优选的实施方案中,除了如上文所定义的基于乙烯的塑性体和基于丙烯的塑性体之外,所述组合物进一步包含高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体。“高熔体流动速率”通常是指MFR2(230℃)大于5000g/cm3,例如大于7000g/cm3。
本发明的高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体通常是丙烯与乙烯或C4-C10α-烯烃的共聚物,最优选为丙烯与乙烯的共聚物。将理解的是,丙烯构成高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体中的主要组分。丙烯通常以55重量%至95重量%的量存在,其中乙烯是共聚单体,乙烯的含量优选为5重量%至30重量%,例如7.5重量%至20重量%。
在所有情况下,高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体的密度优选为0.860g/cm3至0.910g/cm3。在一个优选的实施方案中,高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体的密度为0.865g/cm3至0.905g/cm3,例如0.870g/cm3至0.900g/cm3。
高熔体流动速率塑性体优选为含有无规分布的乙烯与其它全同立构的丙烯链的聚合物。因此可以认为是无规丙烯乙烯共聚物。可商购的高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体的示例包括埃克森美孚(ExxonMobil)的Vistamaxx 8880。
不希望受到理论的束缚,高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体被认为起到相容剂的作用,有助于产生更均匀的组合物。
在另一个实施方案中,本发明的组合物进一步包含不同于如上文所定义的基于丙烯的塑性体和高熔体流动速率基于丙烯的塑性体的丙烯的共聚物。这样的共聚物可以是丙烯与乙烯或C4-C10α-烯烃的共聚物。
在一个实施方案中,该丙烯共聚物可以是多相丙烯共聚物,其包含为无规丙烯共聚物(R-PP)的基质(M)和分散在所述基质(M)中的弹性体丙烯共聚物(E)。
多相丙烯共聚物通常包含基于多相丙烯共聚物总重量的60.0重量%至85.0重量%的无规丙烯共聚物(R-PP),以及基于多相丙烯共聚物总重量的15.0重量%至40.0重量%的弹性体丙烯共聚物(E)。无规丙烯共聚物(R-PP)的共聚单体和/或弹性体丙烯共聚物(E)的共聚单体可以是乙烯和/或C4至C8α-烯烃。包含丙烯无规共聚物作为基质相的合适的可商购获得的多相丙烯共聚物包括可从北欧化工聚烯烃公司(Borealis PolyolefineGmbH)(奥地利)获得的Bormed TM SC876CF。
应当理解,在聚合物加工领域中一种或多种已知的添加剂也可以包括在所述组合物中。合适的添加剂包括:填料;润滑剂;加工助剂;抗氧化剂,例如酚类抗氧化剂,例如亚蒂凡特(Addivant)市售的Lowinox TBM-6,和巴斯夫(BASF)市售的IRGANOX 1010(其为季戊四醇四(3-(3,5-二叔丁基-4羟苯基)丙酸酯),或IRGANOX 1035(其为十八烷基-3-(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟苯基)-丙酸酯)或胺类抗氧化剂,如Vulcanox HS和Flectol H(它们是聚合的2,2,4-三甲基-1,2-二氢喹啉);金属钝化剂和/或铜抑制剂,例如酰肼,例如草酸苯甲酰肼(OABH),或Irganox 1024(其为2,3-双-((3-(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟苯基)丙酰基))丙酰肼(2,3-bis-((3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)proponyl))propiono hydrazide));紫外线吸收剂,例如Tinuvin或HALS型紫外线吸收剂;光稳定剂;成核剂;可以吸热或发热的起泡剂或发泡剂,例如对氧双苯磺酰肼、偶氮异丁腈和偶氮二甲酰胺;加工稳定剂和/或热稳定剂,例如三(2,4-二叔丁基苯基)亚磷酸酯(基于亚磷酸酯)、季戊四醇四(3-(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟苯基)丙酸酯)、十八烷基-3(3,5-二叔丁基-4-羟苯基)丙酸酯、3,3',3',5,5',5'-六叔丁基-a,a',a'-(均三甲苯-2,4,6-三基)三对甲酚(基于酚)和双十八烷基-3,3'-硫代二丙酸酯(基于硫酯);颜料,例如,诸如二氧化钛和炭黑的无机颜料和有机颜料。
相对于组合物整体的总重量,添加剂可以以0.1重量%至10重量%范围内的量存在,优选以0.5重量%至10重量%的量存在。
在所有实施方案中,如果所述组合物不含卤素,即其不包含任何包含卤素,尤其是氯的组分,则是优选的。
本发明的组合物可以通过任何合适的方法制备。理想地,使用一种产生各种组分的均匀混合物的方法。通常,采用复合。复合通常涉及混合或/和共混处于熔融状态的各种组分,通常通过挤进行。这样的方法对于本领域技术人员来说是熟悉的。
应用
本发明的组合物具有阻燃性能,因此可以用于一系列需要阻燃性的应用中。特别地,本发明的组合物可用于涂覆基材,例如织物基材。
因此,在一个进一步的实施方案中,本发明提供了如上文所定义的阻燃聚烯烃组合物用于涂覆基材,优选织物基材的用途。
本发明还涉及涂覆有如上文所定义的阻燃聚烯烃组合物的基材,优选织物基材。
所述基材可以包括任何天然材料和/或合成材料。基材可以包括织物、纸、铝箔和聚合物箔(例如双轴取向聚丙烯(BOPP)或聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET))。通常,所述基材是织物基材。合成材料包括,例如,基于聚烯烃(例如,聚乙烯、聚丙烯等)的各种合成物、尼龙、平纹针织物、聚酯、聚氨酯(例如,弹性纤维材料)以及其共混物或组合。天然材料包括,例如,棉、亚麻、大麻、丝绸、皮革或其共混物。
在一个实施方案中,所述织物基材可以是非织造材料。“非织造”织物是由通过化学、机械、热处理或溶剂处理结合在一起的纤维制成的织物或类似材料。该术语用于表示既不是织造的也不是针织的织物,如毛毡。
在一个替代实施方案中,所述织物基材层可以是织造材料。织造织物包括针织物,特别是聚丙烯针织物。
在一个实施方案中,织物基材包含重量为100至500克,更通常为150至400克,甚至更通常为200至350克每平方米(g/m2)的材料。在一个实施方案中,织物基材由聚酯、聚乙烯或聚丙烯制备而成。
基材,例如以上文所定义的织物基材,其本身包含阻燃剂,在本发明的范围内。这样的阻燃剂可以是如上文所定义的任何阻燃剂,并且可以与本发明的组合物中存在的一种或多种阻燃剂相同或不同。
本发明的组合物可以以本领域已知的任何合适方式施用至基材,例如通过挤出、压延(使用例如辊系统)、层压和刮涂(在将组合物溶解于具有添加剂的水中之后)。
一种涂覆方法的示例采用如图1所示的压延涂覆设备,该设备由两个加热的辊组成,以粒料的形式将原料或复合聚合物置于加热的辊上。所述辊将聚合物混合直至实现均匀的共混,然后前辊将熔融的涂料以设定的厚度(背衬和涂层一起的总厚度)转移到背衬织物上,在将织物重新缠绕到辊上之前,先用水冷压花辊施加表面纹理。
或者,在使用干共混料(单独的组分-未复合)的情况下,它们没有充分混合以形成均匀的涂料,因此可以首先使用双螺杆挤出机将这些共混物复合,并在可能的情况下拉动其通过水浴进入造粒机以制成复合粒料。然后可以将这些粒料施用到加热的辊上以进行涂覆。更柔软的共混物可能太软而无法切成粒料。对于这些涂料,可以将化合物直接挤出到金属铲上,然后转移到辊上。
在施涂到基材上之后,本发明的组合物可以进一步与一种或多种附加的材料一起涂覆,例如漆(例如聚氨酯漆),以提高抗划伤性并减少涂层向例如衣物的转移。
本发明还涉及一种制品,其包含至少一个由如上文所定义的涂覆的基材形成的组件。制品的示例包括办公家具、汽车内饰、座垫、靠背垫、枕头、软垫家具、床垫、墙壁覆盖物、鞋子(例如鞋舌、鞋面、脚跟稳定器、鞋跟)、运动包、天幕镶嵌物(inlay of sky boots)、运动设备(例如拳击手套、拳击球)、地毯、橡皮艇、PVC游泳池、救生衣、手袋、钱包、桌布、桌垫、文具(例如书本和木镶嵌)、鞍袋、工具袋。

测试方法
密度
材料的密度根据ISO 1183-1:2012使用异丙醇-水作为梯度液体进行测量。使样品结晶时,板的冷却速率为15℃/min。处理时间为16小时。
熔体流动速率(MFR)或熔体指数(MI)
熔体流动速率(MFR)是根据ISO 1133测定的,并表示为g/10min。MFR是聚合物熔体粘度的指示。在190℃下测定PE的MFR,在230℃下测定PP的MFR。测定熔体流动速率的载荷通常表示为下标,例如MFR2是在2.16kg载荷下测量的,MFR5是在5kg载荷下测量的或MFR21是在21.6kg载荷下测量的。
分子量,分子量分布,Mn,Mw,MWD
重均分子量Mw和分子量分布(MWD=Mw/Mn,其中Mn为数均分子量,Mw为重均分子量)通过基于ISO 16014-4:2003的方法测量。
共聚单体含量
共聚单体含量(%wt和%mol)通过使用13C-NMR测定。从溶于1,2,4-三氯苯/苯-d6(90/10w/w)的样品在130℃下在Bruker 400MHz光谱仪上记录13C-NMR光谱。%wt和%mol之间的转化可以通过计算来进行。

涂覆的基材的生产和卷烟测试结果:

Claims (15)
1.一种阻燃聚烯烃组合物,其包含:
a)基于乙烯的塑性体,其密度在0.850g/cm3至0.915g/cm3的范围内,以及MFR2在0.5g/10min至30g/10min的范围内;
b)基于丙烯的塑性体,其密度在0.860g/cm3至0.910g/cm3的范围内,以及MFR2在0.01g/10min至30g/10min的范围内;以及
c)阻燃剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的阻燃聚烯烃组合物,其中,所述基于乙烯的塑性体是乙烯与至少一种C3-C10α-烯烃的共聚物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的阻燃聚烯烃组合物,其中,所述基于丙烯的塑性体是丙烯与乙烯或C4-C10α-烯烃的共聚物。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的阻燃聚烯烃组合物,相对于所述组合物整体的总重量,其包含20重量%至90重量%的所述基于乙烯的塑性体。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的阻燃聚烯烃组合物,相对于所述组合物整体的总重量,其包含5重量%至45重量%的所述基于丙烯的塑性体。
6.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的阻燃聚烯烃组合物,其中,相对于所述组合物整体的总重量,所述阻燃剂的存在量为1.5重量%至30重量%,优选2.0重量%至30重量%,更优选5.0重量%至30重量%,特别是10重量%至30重量%。

15.根据权利要求14所述的物品,其选自以下:办公家具、汽车内饰、座垫、靠背垫、枕头、软垫家具、床垫、墙壁覆盖物、鞋子(例如鞋舌、鞋面、脚跟稳定器、鞋跟)、运动包、天幕镶嵌物、运动设备(例如拳击手套、拳击球)、地毯、橡皮艇、PVC游泳池、救生衣、手袋、钱包、桌布、桌垫、文具(例如书本和木镶嵌)、鞍袋、工具袋。
