Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of plant cultivation, and particularly relates to a planting method for cultivating alfalfa on a windy and sandy beach.
Background
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is known as the king of pasture, has high yield, good quality, strong adaptability and good palatability, and can maintain the ecological environment protection functions of water and soil, improve sand and beach land and the like. The alfalfa has long growth life, does not need repeated cultivation, has strong alfalfa property, tender and delicious stem leaves, is most favored by various livestock and poultry regardless of green feeding, ensiling, modulation of green hay, and processing of grass meal for compound feed or mixed feed, has wide application range, and is the preferred fine forage grass for the development of animal husbandry. The alfalfa is planted in the desert area in a large area, the desertification of the sand beach is prevented, the environment is improved, the pasture is provided for the breeding industry, and the method has great economic and environmental protection significance. The transition zone of Maowu desert and loess plateau in Yulin city of Shaanxi province is the first city of sheep raising in non-pastoral areas of the whole country, belongs to the traditional farming and animal husbandry staggered area of Shaanxi province, is temperate continental monsoon climate, has the annual average temperature of 8.6 ℃, the annual average rainfall of 371mm, the frost-free period of 167 days, the annual average sunlight irradiation of 2900 hours, the annual average accumulated temperature of 4000 ℃, and has the advantages of extremely thick areas and natural resources in the development of grass and animal husbandry.
With the continuous expansion of the sheep breeding scale in the elm area, the demand space for high-quality alfalfa increases, and the forage grass industry mainly for modernized alfalfa planting is vigorously developed in the current area. The northern part of the elm area belongs to a sand storm beach area, the sand storm is large in spring, the late spring is severe, and the alfalfa directly sown in spring has the problems that seedlings are frozen or rolled by sand, so that the emergence rate is low, the survival rate is low, the yield is low, repeated reseeding is needed, and the like. High-quality alfalfa planting is based on the irrigation condition, irrigation is mainly performed when local planting is performed, manual work is needed to be removed and drip irrigation belts are needed to be laid again before and after each cutting, and therefore the drip irrigation belts are damaged and the field management cost is increased. The alfalfa has long growth life and does not need repeated cultivation. The technical problems existing in the prior art make it difficult for the region to achieve the expected construction effect and economic efficiency when carrying out artificial alfalfa planting. Therefore, the technology and the irrigation method suitable for planting the alfalfa in the sandy beach of the northern elm forest have very important practical production significance.
