The working principle is as follows: when the height limiter with the protective cover limiting protection structure is used, an external power supply is switched on, the height limiter base 2 on the lower side of the height limiter shell 5 is manually attached to the fixed base 1, the first bolt 4 is manually penetrated through the fixed base 1, the height limiter base 2 and the anti-skid rubber pad 3, the first bolt 4 is rotated to fix the height limiter, the sealing ring 7 and the height limiter sealing cover 6 are manually placed on the convex plate 9, the second bolt 801 is manually penetrated through the height limiter sealing cover 6 and the convex plate 9, the nut 802 is penetrated through the second bolt 801 and is rotated to fix the height limiter, the heat insulation layer 10 is arranged to prevent electrical elements or parts in the height limiter shell 5 from being directly influenced by the external environment, the storage battery 22 is communicated with an external power supply line, the storage battery 22 converts direct current into alternating current through the inverter 23 to provide electric energy for the whole device, the driving motor 2101 is started under the assistance of the control box 24, the driving motor 2101 rotates to drive the rotating rod 2102 to rotate through the reducer 2103, the rotating rod 2102 rotates to drive the second arc fixing plate 2104 to rotate to a required position, finally, the second arc fixing plate 2104 pushes the first arc fixing plate 19 to move leftwards, the first arc fixing plate 19 drives the pressure sensor 17 and the movable contact 15 on the third fixing plate 16 to move leftwards under the assistance of the second spring shaft 18, the second spring shaft 18 moves leftwards and slides in the slide track 1402 on the support plate 1401 through the slide block 1403 on the second fixing plate 1404, finally, the movable contact 15 is attached to the static contact 12 through the first limiting groove 13 on the first fixing plate 11, so that the steel wire winding mechanism can be started, the height of the steel wire winding mechanism can be limited, the arc clamping plate 2503 relatively moves under the action of the hydraulic cylinder 2502 on the fourth fixing plate 2501, therefore, the steel wire rope 27 on the pulley 26 can be clamped in an auxiliary mode, humidity can be treated under the action of the moisture absorption sponge in the moisture absorption box 2001, the phenomenon that the service life of elements in the height limiter shell 5 is affected due to overhigh humidity can be avoided, the handle 2004 is pulled manually, the sealing cover 2003 is separated from the inner part of the second limiting groove 2006 through the convex block 2005 under the auxiliary action of the rotating shaft 2002, and therefore the moisture absorption sponge can be replaced, and the content which is not described in detail in the specification belongs to the prior art which is well known to a person skilled in the art.
