Background
The combination of an inner tie rod end and a tie rod ball end is known as a side tie rod, and belongs to a steering system. The steering gear idler rod is used for connecting a steering rack to a steering pull rod connected with wheels and is one of important parts of a steering system between a steering wheel and a tire; the steering gear idle rod is mainly used for a rack gear in a steering system, converts force into horizontal force by using the circular motion of a pinion, transmits the horizontal force to left and right wheels, and absorbs transverse and longitudinal acting force in driving.
Fig. 1 shows a conventional idle bar 1 of a steering gear, which is disclosed to be composed of a ball mount 2 and a ball bar 3. The ball head seat 2 has a ball socket 2a, one end of the club 3 forms a ball head 3a and is combined in the ball socket 2a, so that the club 3 can rotate or swing relative to the ball head seat 2, and in addition, the ball head seat 2 has a closing end edge 2b which slightly covers the ball head 3a, so as to prevent the club 3 from separating relative to the ball head seat 2. In order to reduce the wear of the ball head 3a in the ball socket 2a caused by long-term contact friction, the known direction machine idle rod 1 is made of high-strength forged steel, and hardened and tempered by heat treatment to ensure the durability and wear resistance, and a bushing 4(bearing) is often placed between the ball head socket 2 and the ball head 3a to reduce the wear therebetween.
Although the steering gear idle rod 1 has good driving performance, the mode that the binding end edge 2b of the ball head seat 2 slightly covers the ball head 3a is obviously insufficient for absorbing the pulling force from the transverse direction in the driving process, and the lining 4 is of a bowl-shaped structure, but the function of the lining is only to strengthen the wear resistance and is not helpful to provide additional resistance, so that the existing steering gear idle rod 1 is not perfect and needs to be improved.
