5. The multi-function sport carrier of claim 4 wherein said shell has a height less than a height of said second stationary bar, a bottom of said shell being flush with a bottom of said second stationary bar.
6. The multi-purpose sport carrier of claim 4 wherein a side of said step plate facing said second stationary bar is of a ramped configuration.
