Background
Board-to-board Connectors, also known in the industry as BTB Connectors (BTB), are the most powerful connector products among all connector product types at present, and BTB Connectors are used to connect two PCBs to achieve mechanical and electrical connection. Compared with other types of connectors, the BTB connector has the strongest transmission capability, so that the BTB connector is widely applied to industries such as automation equipment, medical industry, intelligent home and household appliances, electric power equipment, electronic digital products, office equipment, military manufacturing and the like, and is most widely applied to electronic intelligent equipment at present. Because a large amount of BTB connectors are adopted, the connection reliability and the contact point resistance of the BTB connectors are more and more important for the quality of products, comprehensive testing must be carried out on the performance of the adopted connectors, the high-current elastic sheet micro-needle module is well adapted to the testing requirements of a board on a male seat and a female seat of a board connector, the service life is long, no pricking mark exists, and the good performance of the connectors is ensured.
1. BTB connector structure
Currently, with the popularization of SMT technology, the application of surface mount connectors is becoming more and more extensive, and various types of PCBs have corresponding surface mount connectors. From the through-hole (T/H) soldering process to the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering process, the terminal Pitch (Pitch) of the connector can be reduced from 1.27mm to 1.0mm and gradually to 0.8mm and 0.5mm, and the application of the SMT process allows electronic components to be soldered on both sides of the PCB, greatly increasing the component density on the PCB.
At present, various consumer electronic products using the connector have integrated miniaturization, thinning and high performance, which promotes the corresponding connector to be short and the connecting part to be narrow. At present, in Board-to-Board (BTB) connector products, companies start mass production of 0.5mm chip connector products.
The conventional pin-to-socket contact of the chip-type connector is converted into narrow-chip contact, the through-hole welding process is converted into surface-mount welding process, and the arrangement distance of the terminals is reduced from 1.27mm to 0.5mm, which represents the development trend and mainstream of the future electric connectors.
In order to meet the requirements of the SMT process, the terminal pads of the whole product are strictly required to have good flatness and coplanarity, which is usually specified to be 0.10max.
2. Terminal structure design
In order to achieve high-density arrangement and more stable contact performance of the connector, a narrow-sheet type contact mode is adopted for the 0.5mm BTB connecting terminal, and phosphor bronze with better conductivity and mechanical strength is adopted as a material.
Generally, the terminal structure can be designed in two ways, one is a stamping plane blanking terminal (called blanking terminal for short), and the other is a stamping bending forming terminal (called forming terminal for short).
Since the female terminal of the narrow plate type needs to have sufficient elasticity and a complicated shape, if the press forming method is adopted, the press forming process is difficult, and the forming dimension and precision are not easy to control. Therefore, the female terminal is formed, and the male terminal can be flexibly selected from a blanking mode or a forming mode according to the use condition of a connector product.
3. Plastic body structure and raw material
The structure and raw material selection of the plastic part directly influence the function and application of the SMT process. Not only is there concern about the ability of plastics to withstand high temperatures during ir reflow soldering, but also the ability to withstand impact is a concern. If the plastic is too soft, the dimensional accuracy after molding may be low, and the plastic may be easily deformed. If too hard plastic is selected, the plastic will be cracked due to impact, so the plastic is required to have high temperature resistance and low thermal expansion coefficient, and is required to be suitable for injecting a thin-walled structure with small spacing, and maintain certain strength and toughness.
The plastic body is usually made of LCP (liquid crystalline polymer), and the LCP has other excellent characteristics to provide good performance and stable quality for the BTB connector.
4. Male and female insertion height
The overall size and height of the connector are determined by the layout of the PCB, and in order to save space, the total height of the male and female connectors after being plugged is generally determined by the maximum height of other components on the PCB.
However, a BTB connector of a blanking terminal type, which is compact in structure, high in reliability and convenient to assemble, is still lacking.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above-mentioned deficiencies in the prior art, the present invention provides a blanking terminal type BTB connector having the advantages of compact structure, high reliability, and convenient assembly.

Preferably, the BTB connector is 3mm wide, 8.4mm long and 0.6mm high.
Preferably, the width of the insertion part is 0.48mm, and the height of the limiting part is 0.02 mm; the distance between the two convex parts is 0.4 mm.
Preferably, the horizontal distance between the top end of the convex part and the top end of the limiting part is 0.03 mm; the depth of the clamping groove is more than or equal to 0.05 mm.
Preferably, the female socket includes 30 female terminals, and the male socket includes 30 male terminals.

The width of the insertion part 122 is 0.48mm, and the height of the limiting part 1221 is 0.02 mm; the distance between the two convex portions 2231 is 0.4 mm. The horizontal distance between the top end of the convex part 2231 and the top end of the limiting part 1221 is 0.03 mm; the depth of the clamping groove is more than or equal to 0.05 mm.
The male terminal 12 may take the shape of fig. 3 or fig. 5.
Female receptacle 2 includes 30 female terminals 22 and male receptacle 1 includes 30 male terminals 12.
