背景技术
对于一辆车,我们可以将其分成簧下质量和簧上质量两个部分。如果给簧下质量下个定义,它是指不由悬挂系统中的弹性元件所支撑的质量,一般包括有车轮、弹簧、减震器以及其它相关部件等,而簧上质量自然就是车辆剩余部分的质量,一般包括车架、电控及动力蓄电池系统、传动装置、乘员等,增加簧下质量,对于舒适性和操控性都是极为不利的。
对于普通民用车辆来说,常常用一些相对轻质的材料比如铝合金来制作悬挂的部件,以减轻簧下质量,提升悬挂的响应速度。可是轮毂电机恰好较大幅度地增大了簧下质量,同时也增加了轮毂的转动惯量,这对于车辆的操控性能是不利的。此外,轮毂发电机工作的环境恶劣,面临水、灰尘等多方面影响。

把发电机安装在底盘车架上用钢丝软轴链接车轮轴,车辆行驶中车轮转动通过钢丝软轴驱动车架上发电机发电,车轮和车架之间有减震器,钢丝软轴有弹性亦可以拐弯,车辆行驶在颠簸路面时对发电机、车上人员和货物没有任何影响,而且发电机安装在底盘车架上有防水、防尘的好处。
车轮链接钢丝软轴驱动发电机给驱动电机供电主要解决了纯电动车续航不足,蓄电池用量多,过重的问题。
