The terms "a," "an," "the," "said," and "at least one" are used to indicate the presence of one or more elements/components/parts/etc.; the terms "comprising" and "having" are intended to be inclusive and mean that there may be additional elements/components/etc. other than the listed elements/components/etc.; the terms "first," "second," and "third," etc. are used merely as labels, and are not limiting on the number of their objects.
An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display device, as shown in fig. 1, including a first display unit 110 and a second display unit 120, the first display unit 110 including a first display part 111 and a second display part 113, the first display part 111 and the second display part 113 being bendable along a first axis, the first axis being located between the first display part 111 and the second display part 113; the second display unit 120 includes a third display portion 123 and a fourth display portion 121, the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121 are bendable along a second axis, the second axis is located between the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121, and a back surface of the second display portion 113 is attached to a back surface of the third display portion 123.
The first axis is a boundary between the first display unit 111 and the second display unit 113, that is, an axis defined by the first axis, and is not an axis which is shown on the first display unit 110 and exists as a solid. The second axis is a boundary between the third display section 123 and the fourth display section 121, i.e., the second axis is an axis defined by the boundary, and is not a second axis showing that the second display section 120 is physically present. The back surface of the second display portion 113 is a side surface of the second display portion 113 away from the light exit side, and the back surface of the third display portion 123 is a side surface of the third display portion 123 away from the light exit side. The back surface of the second display portion 113 and the back surface of the third display portion 123 are bonded. The second display portion 113 and the third display portion 123 may be combined into an intermediate display body.
The display apparatus of the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure may further include a support bar 130 for supporting the intermediate display body. Wherein the support bar 130 may be perpendicular to the first axis in a direction perpendicular to the bar cross-section, it should be understood that in the case where the support bar 130 is perpendicular to the first axis, the support bar 130 is also perpendicular to the second axis.
In addition, the support bar 130 may be disposed at one side of the middle display body, and particularly, may be disposed at one side of an edge of the middle display body, and in the case that the middle display body has a frame, the support bar 130 may be disposed in the frame in a hidden manner. The length of the support bar 130 is less than or equal to the corresponding edge length of the middle display body, so as to prevent the support bar 130 from exceeding the range of the middle display body.
The support bar 130 may be disposed at a joint of the second display part 113 and the third display part 123. However, the support bar 130 may also be disposed at an edge side of the second display part 113 or at an edge side of the third display part 123.
Fig. 1 shows a case where only one support rod is included, however, in other embodiments of the present disclosure, two support rods disposed on opposite sides may be included, which also falls within the scope of the present disclosure.
In addition, the display device of the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a rotation mechanism 140, and the rotation mechanism 140 may be connected to the support bar 130 for controlling the support bar 130 to rotate.
The rotation mechanism 140 may be provided at a hinge that bends the first display portion 111 and the second display portion 113, or a hinge that bends the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121. In addition, the rotation mechanism 140 may be disposed in a frame of the first display portion 111, the second display portion 113, the third display portion 123, or the fourth display portion 121. However, it should be understood that the rotation mechanism 140 may also be provided separately from the first display unit 110 and the second display unit arrangement 120, only connected with the support bar 130.
The rotating mechanism 140 may be connected to the end of the support bar 130, however, it should be noted that the rotating mechanism 140 may also be connected to other locations on the support bar 130 other than the end.
In an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, the rotating mechanism 140 may include a steering engine, and an output shaft of the steering engine is connected to the support rod 130. The steering engine can respond to a rotation control signal to control the support rod 130 to rotate to a position corresponding to the rotation control signal. For example, when it is necessary to control the middle display to stand with respect to the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121, the supporting rod 130 may be adjusted to be in a state perpendicular to the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121, as shown in fig. 1.
The working process of the steering engine can comprise the following steps: the control circuit board in the steering engine receives the rotation control signal, controls the motor to rotate, drives the gear set to rotate by the motor, enables the steering wheel to rotate, triggers the position feedback potentiometer to work while the steering wheel rotates, enables the potentiometer to output a voltage signal to the control circuit board for position feedback, and then determines the rotation direction and speed of the motor according to the current position of the control circuit board, so that the target position corresponding to the control signal is reached.
With respect to the manufacturing process, referring to fig. 2, the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 may be a unitary structure, and the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 may be bendable along a third axis, which is located between the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120.
The first display unit 110 may be a flexible OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display device, and the second display unit 120 may also be a flexible OLED display device.
The flexible OLED display device may include a flexible substrate, an organic electroluminescent layer, a thin film encapsulation layer, a flexible cover sheet, and the like. The organic electroluminescent layer is arranged on the flexible substrate, the film packaging layer is arranged on one side, away from the flexible substrate, of the organic electroluminescent layer, and the flexible cover plate is arranged on one side, away from the organic electroluminescent layer, of the film packaging layer.
The flexible substrate may include a flexible substrate, a driving circuit layer, and the like, and since the flexible substrate may be subjected to a large stress when the display device is bent, a stress relief groove may be formed in the flexible substrate, so that the stress on the flexible substrate when the flexible substrate is bent is reduced by the stress relief groove. The organic electroluminescent layer includes a plurality of pixel units, and the pixel units emit light to display images, and it is generally necessary to ensure that the light emitted by the display device is emitted as expected when the eyes of a user face the light-emitting surface. However, in the flexible display device, since the display device has at least two display modes, namely, a flat display mode and a curved display mode, it is possible to ensure that the display effect meets the expected effect by changing the light path of the light emitted from the pixel unit, the illumination intensity, and the like.
Illustratively, the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 are symmetrical along the third axis. That is, when the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 are of an integrated structure, the third axis is a middle separation line of the integrated display device. Of course, in practical applications, the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 may also be asymmetric, and this is not particularly limited in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
The integrated first and second display units 110 and 120 may be referred to as a full display device, and the full display device may be a flexible OLED display device. Since the full display device is bent at the third axis, the flexible substrate of the full display device may be provided with a stress relief groove at the third axis to relieve a bending stress. And the pixel units and the pixel definition layer may be rearranged at the third axis to secure the display effect. For example, the light attenuation of the long wavelength light is slow in the non-frontal viewing angle, and the display abnormality occurs in the bending region of the full display device. Because the wavelength of red light in the pixel unit is longest, the bendable region can display red, and abnormal display can be avoided by changing the structure of the red photon pixel unit and the structure of the pixel definition layer around the red photon pixel unit.
In addition, with respect to the manufacturing process, referring to fig. 3, the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120 may also be a split structure, and the rear surface of the second display portion 113 may be attached to the rear surface of the third display portion 123.
Referring to fig. 4, the display device of the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a first support frame 410 and a second support frame 420. The first supporting frame 410 is disposed on the back surface of the first display portion 111, and the back surface of the first display portion 111 is a side of the first display portion 111 far away from the light emitting side; the second supporting frame 420 is disposed on the back surface of the fourth display portion 121, and the back surface of the fourth display portion 121 is a side of the fourth display portion 121 far away from the light emitting side. The first supporting frame 410 is used for supporting the first display portion 111, and the second supporting frame 420 is used for supporting the fourth display portion 121.
The first and second support frames 410 and 420 may be hinge-connected, in which case the exemplary display device of the present disclosure may further include a rotation shaft 430. The first support frame 410 may be coupled to the rotation shaft 430 to be rotatable about the rotation shaft 430. The second support frame 420 may be coupled to the rotation shaft 430 to be capable of rotating around the rotation shaft 430.
The first and second support frames 410 and 420 can be bent inward. The inward bending means that the first and second support frames 410 and 420 rotate such that the light emitting side of the first display part 111 and the light emitting side of the fourth display part 121 are opposite to each other. At this time, the light emitting side of the first display portion 111 and the light emitting side of the second display portion 113 in the first display unit 110 are opposite to each other, and the light emitting side of the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121 in the second display unit 120 are opposite to each other.
For example, the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 are hinged by the rotation shaft 430, and on this basis, a first limit position of the rotation of the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 may be such that the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121 are located on the same plane when they are unfolded, and a second limit position of the rotation of the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 is such that the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121 are parallel when they are bent.
It is understood that the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 may also be outwardly bendable. The outward bending means that the first and second support frames 410 and 420 rotate such that the light emitting sides of the first and fourth display parts 111 and 121 face each other. At this time, the light emitting side of the first display portion 111 and the light emitting side of the second display portion 113 in the first display unit 110 are the same, and the light emitting side of the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121 in the second display unit 120 are the same.
In this case, similarly, the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 are hinged by the rotation shaft 430, and on this basis, a first limit position at which the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 rotate may be such that the first display part 111 and the fourth display part 121 are positioned on the same plane when unfolded, and a second limit position at which the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 rotate may be such that the first display part 111 and the fourth display part 121 are parallel when bent.
Of course, in practical applications, the display device may also have both inward bending and outward bending functions, and in this case, multiple modes of display may be implemented, for example, an included angle between the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121 may be 120 degrees, and an included angle between the first display portion 111 and the second display portion 113 may also be 120 degrees. Alternatively, the included angle between the first display portion 111 and the second display portion 113 may be 180 degrees, and the included angle between the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121 may be 180 degrees, that is, compared to the prior art, users on both sides can see the content displayed on the large screen.
Further, the display device provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure may further include an elastic member, and the elastic member may be disposed on the back surfaces of the first display unit 110 and the second display unit 120, and configured to elastically push the bent or opened display portion to a preset position. For example, the elastic member may elastically move the first display part 111 and the fourth display part 121 to the first limit position or the second limit position; or the elastic member may be configured to elastically push the first display portion 111 and the fourth display portion 121 to a position having an included angle of 120 degrees, and to elastically push the second display portion 113 to a position having an included angle of 120 degrees with respect to the first display portion 111.
According to the display device provided by the embodiment of the disclosure, the first display portion 111 and the second display portion 113 can be bent along a first axis, the third display portion 123 and the fourth display portion 121 can be bent along a second axis, the back surface of the second display portion 113 is connected with the back surface of the third display portion 123, the middle display body formed by the second display portion 113 and the third display portion 123 is supported by the support rod 130, and the rotation of the support rod 130 is controlled by the rotating mechanism 140, so that the display device can realize double-sided display at the positions of the second display portion 113 and the third display portion 123, and multiple selectable display modes are provided, the portability of the display device is ensured, the display device is prevented from being too thick, and the lightening and thinning of the bendable terminal equipment are facilitated. And because the second display part 113 and the third display part 123 are flexible structures, the second display part 113 and the third display part 123 can be turned over when in use, so that the use mode of the display device is increased, and the use experience of a user can be enriched.
Further, the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure also provides a terminal device. The terminal device can be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, an electronic book, a television and other electronic devices.
The terminal device of the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure may include the above-described display apparatus. Under the condition, the terminal equipment can be bent along the first axis and the second axis of the display device, and the second display part 113 and the third display part 123 which are attached back to back can realize double-sided display, so that multiple selectable display modes are provided, the portability of the display device is ensured, the display device is prevented from being too thick, and the light and thin of the bendable terminal equipment are facilitated. And because the second display part 113 and the third display part 123 are flexible structures, the second display part 113 and the third display part 123 can be turned over when in use, so that the use mode of the display device is increased, and the use experience of a user can be enriched.
For the embodiment of controlling the rotation of the support rod 130, referring to fig. 5, the terminal device 500 of the present disclosure may further include a rotation control unit 510 in addition to the rotation mechanism 140. The rotation control unit 510 may be a circuit module specially configured for the rotation of the support rod 130, however, the rotation control unit 510 may also be a processing unit (for example, a processor of the mobile phone itself, etc.) configured in the terminal device 500 itself, and this is not particularly limited in this exemplary embodiment.
The rotation control unit 510 may transmit a rotation control signal to the rotation mechanism 140 in response to a rotation trigger operation by a user. For example, the user may make a selection of a rotation angle in the configuration interface of the terminal device, and the rotation control unit 510 may transmit a rotation control signal to the rotation mechanism 140 according to the result of the user operation. It will be readily appreciated that the rotation trigger operation may also be generated when a predetermined event occurs, for example, based on a predetermined configuration, the rotation control unit 510 may send a rotation control signal to the rotation mechanism 140 when an application is started.
In addition, the terminal device may further include a first body and a second body, the first body is disposed on the back surface of the first display portion 111, and the back surface of the first display portion 111 is a side of the first display portion 111 away from the light emitting side; the second body is disposed on the back of the fourth display portion 121, and the back of the fourth display portion 121 is a side of the fourth display portion 121 far away from the light emitting side.
The first body and the second body may be hinged, for example, the first body and the second body are connected by a rotating shaft. The first body is connected to the rotating shaft and can rotate around the rotating shaft. The second support body is connected to the rotating shaft and can rotate around the rotating shaft.
The first body and the second body may be bent inward or outward, and the inward bending means that the first body and the second body rotate such that the light emitting side of the first display part 111 is opposite to the light emitting side of the fourth display part 121. The outward bending means that the first body and the second body rotate such that the light emitting side of the first display part 111 and the light emitting side of the fourth display part 121 face each other.
For example, when the display device includes the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420, the first body may be provided at the first support frame 410 and the second body may be provided at the second support frame 420. The first body can rotate with the first support frame 410, the second body can rotate with the second support frame 420, and the rotation modes of the first support frame 410 and the second support frame 420 have been described in detail in the corresponding display device, which is not described herein again.
In summary, based on the display device and the terminal device of the exemplary embodiment of the disclosure, the purpose of multi-screen display can be achieved simultaneously, and the screen angle can be changed according to different requirements, so as to meet different viewing or operating requirements of a user.
