Description

Sanitary water outlet fitting
Technical Field
The invention relates to a sanitary outlet fitting, comprising: a fitting base body which is divided into a water inlet section and a water outlet section which is connected thereto and has an open upper side; and a cover releasably fastened to the fitting base body on the open upper side of the water outlet section.
Background
Such water outlet fittings can be used, for example, on wash stands, bathtubs and kitchen sinks. The open upper side of the outlet section can be used to provide access to a component accommodated in the fitting base body or to be able to insert a component to be accommodated in the fitting base body into the fitting base body through the open upper side of the outlet section. The open upper side of the outlet section can then be at least partially covered by a cover. Since the cover is releasably fastened to the fitting base body, preferably to the water outlet section of the fitting base body, the cover can be removed and reinstalled repeatedly if necessary.
A sanitary outlet fitting of the type mentioned at the outset is disclosed in patent document US 7.717.133B 2. In the outlet fitting there, the outlet section is dumbbell-shaped on its upper side with rounded end-side opening regions and channel-shaped opening regions connecting these opening regions. The latter serves for inserting an outlet pipe which, at its downstream end, opens into an engagement section which can be inserted into a holder which can be inserted from above into the region of the circular open end of the outlet side. The beam shaping unit can be screwed to the holder from below in the water outlet section through a corresponding opening in the bottom side. The cover there does not completely cover the open upper side of the outlet section, but rather has a circular opening corresponding to the upstream open end region of the fitting base, so that a circular open region remains overall, in which, for example, a valve actuating unit can be arranged. The cover engages with a circumferential lip into a corresponding circumferential receptacle which is formed on the outlet section of the fitting base body.
Publication DE 102015002897 a1 discloses a polished fitting (Aufputzarmatur) having a fitting base body and a cold/hot water mixing valve arranged therein, wherein the fitting base body has an open upper side serving as a service opening, which can be closed by a storage surface designed as a service hood and through which the mixing valve can be removed. The service cover can be fastened to the fitting base body by means of fastening elements that are not visible from the outside and can be released, such as screws, clips or clamps, and can be covered by a separate and/or removable storage plate, which can be designed with a visually particularly high-value surface and/or can be made at least in part of glass. The fitting base body shown there has a rounded cube-shaped design, wherein the opening is formed as an oval recess on the upper side of the fitting base body and the service cover has a corresponding oval shape.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a sanitary outlet fitting of the type mentioned at the outset, which offers advantages over the prior art mentioned above, in particular with regard to the components thereof which are accommodated in the fitting base body and the accessibility of the components and the cover of the upper side.
The present invention solves the problem by providing a sanitary water outlet fitting.
In the outlet fitting according to the invention, the open upper side of the outlet section serves as a service opening. The cover closes the open upper side of the water outlet section, i.e. the cover completely covers the open upper side. The valve unit and/or the insert element with the particle screen and/or the flow regulator are accommodated in the fitting base body, to be precise in such a design that the valve unit or the insert element is accessible through the service opening. The cover comprises a support plate which is attached to the fitting base body, preferably to the outlet section of the fitting base body, by means of a releasable connection, i.e. the support plate and thus the cover as a whole can be removed from the fitting base body by releasing the connection and attached again to the fitting base body. The cover further comprises a sealing means surrounding on the bottom side on the support plate and a top plate mounted on the support plate on the upper side.
The sealing device prevents water from penetrating into the fitting base body on the upper side of the fitting base body. The support plate does not need to meet the characteristics, for example in terms of visual appearance, normally set forth for the outer parts of sanitary outlet fittings, by means of the top plate mounted thereto. Furthermore, this gives the possibility of using the same support plate for different outlet fittings and providing different top plates for the same support plate.
In order to provide access to the valve unit or the insert element, it is therefore only necessary to remove the upper cover from the fitting base. It would be highly advantageous for such components to be periodically serviced, so that they can be easily accessed.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing device is designed to seal circumferentially in the axial direction or circumferentially in the radial direction. Axial here refers to the direction in which the cover is pushed onto the service opening. The radial direction refers to a direction perpendicular to the axial direction. The sealing device embodiments are advantageous in both structure and function.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the sealing device has a spacer section which axially spaces the cover from the fitting base body. Direct touching contact of the cover with the fitting base body or a defined gap between the cover and the fitting base body can thus be avoided.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the support plate and the sealing device are formed by a thermoplastic multicomponent component, wherein the support plate is made of a thermoplastic material and the sealing device is made of a thermoplastic elastomer material that is injection-molded onto the support plate by means of an injection molding technique. This embodiment for the support plate and the sealing device is advantageous in terms of production complexity. Furthermore, an extremely secure hold of the sealing device on the support plate is thereby provided.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the releasable connection comprises a snap connection between the carrier plate and the fitting base, wherein the snap connection is embodied as self-releasable or releasable in an alternative embodiment. Self-releasing means here that the snap connection releases itself when the cover is removed from the fitting base. Releasable means that the snap connection must be released by a corresponding release operation by the user in order to be able to remove the cover from the fitting base. One or the other of the snap connections may be used, depending on the requirements and application.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the releasable connection comprises a snap connection between the sealing device and the fitting base body. For this purpose, the snap connection comprises a snap projection formed on the sealing device and a snap recess formed on the fitting base body. The sealing device can therefore advantageously also perform a corresponding connecting function in addition to its sealing function, which renders additional snap-in connections on the carrier plate superfluous.
In one embodiment of the invention, the top plate has a flat, rectangular shape. This can provide advantages in terms of manufacturing, handling and shaping.
In one embodiment of the invention, the water inlet section and the water outlet section of the fitting base body are each cube-shaped, wherein they enclose an angle of between 80 ° and 100 ° with their cube main surfaces. This design is particularly suitable for sanitary outlet fittings, in which the outlet section extends substantially at right angles to the inlet section.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the outlet fitting has an outlet assembly accommodated in the fitting base body in such a way that it is accessible through the service opening, wherein the outlet assembly comprises an outlet tube and a spray-forming outlet element connected to the downstream end of the outlet tube, which outlet element is positioned in an outlet opening on the underside of the outlet section. As a result, the outlet assembly can be brought into the fitting base body as a whole through the service opening and positioned there in the desired manner. The outlet assembly already contains the spray-forming outlet element, so that it does not have to be mounted afterwards, for example from the bottom, on the fitting base or on a component accommodated in the fitting base. The jet-forming outlet element can be, for example, an outlet-side jet-forming element, a jet-regulating element or a gas-filling element (luffsruddler element).

Detailed Description
The sanitary outlet fitting shown in fig. 1 to 6 comprises a fitting base body 1 which is divided into an inlet section 2 and an outlet section 3 connected thereto, which has an open upper side serving as a nutrient opening 4. In the fitting base body 1, a valve unit 5 and an insert element 6 are accommodated, which insert element comprises a particle screen 7 and a flow regulator 8. The valve unit 5 and the insert element 6 are accessible through the service opening 4. In the example shown, both the valve unit 5 and the insert element 6 can be inserted (einbauen) into the fitting through the service opening 4, i.e. inserted (einbringen) into the fitting base body 1 and fixed there, and removed again (ausbauen) if necessary, for example in order to repair, clean or replace the relevant component with a new one.
The valve unit 5 is of any usual construction type and therefore needs no further explanation here. The valve unit can be designed, for example, as a single-lever mixing valve, i.e. the valve unit 5 has an operating lever 9 as a user interface in this case. The associated water lines, in particular the cold water line 10 and the hot water line 11, are guided through the water inlet section 2 to the valve unit 5. The outlet fitting can be fixed to a desired installation site, for example to a washstand, bathtub or kitchen sink, by means of a fixing base 12 (Befestigungssockels) arranged on the inlet side of the inlet section 2. The valve unit 5 may, for example, contain a sanitary valve block which is the subject of a german patent application filed by the applicant at the same time under the name "sanitary valve block" (my docket P57312 DE), the content of which is hereby fully incorporated by reference in the present description and to which reference is made for further details.
In an alternative embodiment, only one of the two components, namely the valve unit 5 and the insert element 6, is accommodated in the fitting base body. In other alternative embodiments, the insert element 6 comprises only one of the two components, namely the pellet screen 7 and the flow regulator 8. Any conventional design can be used for the insert element 6 and its particle screen 7 and flow regulator 8, which need not be described in greater detail here. The insert element 6 can be designed, in particular, as shown, as a cylindrical insert cartridge (Einsatzpatrone) on which the particle sieve 7 and/or the flow regulator 8 are integrally molded or are held as a separately prefabricated component.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, a water outlet assembly (auslafbaugruppe) 13 is also accommodated in the fitting base 1, which water outlet assembly comprises a water outlet pipe (auserfrolehritung) 14 and a water outlet element 15, which forms a spray, and is connected to the downstream end of the water outlet pipe. The outlet element 15, which may be a jet regulator or a jet shaper of the usual type, for example, is positioned in an outlet 16 of the fitting base body 1 and in particular of the underside of the outlet section 3. The water outlet line 14 is coupled on the inlet side to the valve unit 5, for example to the mixed water outlet (mischwasserasgang) of the valve unit.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the water inlet section 2 and the water outlet section 3 are each shaped as a cube (quadrf ribbon), wherein they enclose (einschlie β en) an angle of between 80 ° and 100 °, for example an angle of approximately 90 °, with their cube main planes (quadrahaupeteen). In alternative embodiments, the water inlet section 2 and/or the water outlet section 3 have different shapes, for example an oval or circular cross section. When the outlet fitting is installed on its installation site, the water inlet section 2 extends with its cubic main plane or its longitudinal axis, for example, substantially vertically and the water outlet section 3 extends with its cubic main plane or its longitudinal axis, for example, substantially horizontally.
The open upper side of the outlet section 3, i.e. the service opening 4, is closed by a cover 17, which is releasably fastened to the outlet section 3. The cover 17 comprises a support plate 18, a sealing means 19 which surrounds the support plate 18 on the underside, and a top plate 20 which is mounted (bent) on the support plate 18 on the upper side. In this exemplary embodiment, the top plate 20 has a rectangular and preferably planar shape, which is adapted to the cubic shape of the outlet section 3. The same description preferably applies to the support plate 18. The top plate 20 is releasably or non-releasably connected to the support plate 18, depending on the requirements and application. In the embodiment shown, a glue strip device 21 with one or more glue strips or patches (klebecaps) is provided, which is tacky on both sides.
The support plate 18 is releasably mounted on the outlet section 3, for which purpose a corresponding releasable connection 22 is provided. In the embodiment shown in fig. 7 to 9, the releasable connecting structure 22 comprises a self-releasing snap connection (Schnappverbindung) 22a, 22b between the bearing plate 18 and the fitting base 1, in particular the outlet section 3. The snap connections 22a, 22b preferably comprise a plurality of snap projections 22a and corresponding snap recesses 22b which can be snapped on by these snap projections from behind, on the one hand on the carrier plate 18 and on the other hand on the fitting base 1, as can be seen from fig. 7 in the four corner regions of the rectangular service opening 4 or the cover 17, four snap projections 22a and snap recesses 22 b. Self-releasing means here that the snap connections 22a, 22b are configured such that when a user moves in the removal direction D as shown in fig. 9MWhen the cover 17 is removed from the fitting base 1, the snap-on connection releases itself, i.e. the snap projections 22a come out of the snap recesses 22 b. Disassembly direction DMOpposite to the mounting direction, in which the user puts the cover 17 onThe fitting base 1, wherein the snap projections 22a are thus snapped (einschnappen) into the snap recesses 22 b.
Fig. 10 shows an embodiment variant in which the releasable connecting structure 22 comprises snap connections 22c, 22d which can be released through an access opening 23 in the fitting base body 1 with one or more snap projections 22c and one or more corresponding snap recesses 22d on the bearing plate 18 on the one hand and on the fitting base body 1 on the other hand. In this case, the corresponding snap projection 22c latches the corresponding snap recess 22D from behind in such a way that it cannot be detached by an attempt in the detachment direction DMThe cover 17 is automatically released by removing it from the fitting base 1 (Abziehen). The user must first press the snap projection 22c out of the snap recess 22d through the access opening 23, for example by introducing a suitable tool.
In the embodiment according to fig. 9, the sealing device 19 is designed to seal in the axial direction. This means that the sealing device exerts its sealing effect in the axial direction, that is to say parallel to the mounting direction and the dismounting direction DMSo as to exert the sealing effect. For this purpose, the circumferential sealing device 19 is formed, for example, as a sealing ring with a rectangular cross section.
In the embodiment variant shown in fig. 10, the sealing device 19 is designed to seal around in the radial direction. This means that the sealing device in this case exerts its sealing effect in the radial direction, that is to say parallel to the main plane of the cover 17 or perpendicular to the mounting direction and the removal direction DMSo as to exert the sealing effect. For this purpose, the sealing device can be formed, for example, as shown, as a sealing ring with a sealing profile having a sealing flange 19a which is pressed radially outward away from the bearing plate 18 and which is pressed against the corresponding inner side of the fitting base body 1 or of the water outlet section 3.
Fig. 11 to 14 show a further advantageous embodiment variant for the cover 17. In this embodiment, the support plate 18 and the sealing means 19 are formed by a thermoplastic multicomponent component 24, wherein the support plate 18 consists of a thermoplastic material and the sealing means 19 consists of a thermoplastic elastomer material which is injection-molded onto the support plate 18 by means of a plastic injection molding technique.
In a corresponding embodiment, the sealing device 19 has a spacer section 25, as shown for example for the injection-molded seal 19 of fig. 11 to 14. The spacer section 25 axially spaces the cover 17 from the fitting base body 1. This means that an axial gap 26 is formed between the top plate 20 and the fitting base body 1 by the spacer retaining section 25 of the sealing device 19, by means of which direct touching contact between the top plate 20 and the fitting base body 1 can be avoided if necessary.
In a corresponding embodiment, the releasable connecting structure 22 comprises a snap connection 22e, 22f between the support plate 18 and the fitting base 1 or the water outlet section 3 between the sealing device 19, which is firmly connected to the support plate 18, and the fitting base 1, wherein the snap connection 22e, 22f in this case comprises one or more snap projections 22e, which are formed on the sealing device 19 and serve as snap projections, and one or more corresponding snap recesses 22f on the fitting base 1. As shown in the embodiment according to fig. 12 to 14, the snap-on projection 22e can be realized as a radially protruding projection region of the sealing device 19 provided as a circumferential sealing ring with a corresponding sealing profile. The projection regions for the snap projections 22e need not be formed in a forced manner around one another, but can be limited, as in the example shown, to a circumferential section, for example to four corner regions, as in the embodiment according to fig. 7 to 10 in the snap connections 22a to 22d forming in this way, for example, four separate snap projections 22 e. In this case, no snap projections need to be provided on the bearing plate 18 itself.
Since in the fitting according to the invention the cover 17 is realized in multiple parts with the support plate 18 and the top plate 20 as separate components, the support plate 18 does not need to meet some requirements imposed on the fitting in terms of visual appearance. This function may be assigned to the top plate 20. Since the support plate 18 together with the top plate 20 can be removed from the fitting base body 1, it is possible, if necessary, in a very simple manner to provide the outlet fitting with covers which have different visual appearances, for example by using top plates 20 made of different materials, such as glass, metal, wood, ceramic or natural stone, or top plates with different colors.
By removing the cover 17, the components contained in the fitting base 1, such as the valve unit 5, the insert element 6 with the particle screen 7 and/or the flow regulator 8, and the outlet assembly 13, can be accessed. It is thus possible, as can be seen in fig. 3 for example, to fix the valve unit 5 in the fitting base 1 by means of a screw connection 27, which is accessible through the service opening 4, so that the valve unit 5 can be mounted and dismounted through the service opening 4 as soon as the cover 17 is removed if necessary. In the same way, the outlet assembly 13 can be fastened in the fitting base body 1 by means of the holding bracket 28 and the screw connections 29, wherein these screw connections 29 are also accessible through the service opening 4 and the holding bracket 28 and the outlet assembly 13 can be mounted and dismounted through this service opening 4. Furthermore, the insert element 6 can be held on the fitting base body 1 or on the valve unit 5 by means of a screw connection 30, and this screw connection 30 is also accessible through the service opening 4, so that the insert element 6, together with the particle screen 7 and/or the flow regulator 8, can be removed from the fitting base body 1 through said service opening 4 and cleaned or replaced by a new insert element 6 if necessary, without having to dismantle further components for this purpose.
As is clear from the embodiments shown and described above and further illustrated, the invention provides a sanitary outlet fitting which offers particular advantages in terms of visual appearance and accessibility of the components contained therein by means of its removable upper-side cover.
