Injection molding is a method for producing and shaping industrial products. Products are generally molded using rubber and plastic. Warpage is the occurrence of surface distortion of a molded part that is not shaped according to the designed shape, and is caused by uneven shrinkage of the shaped molded part. If the whole plastic part has uniform shrinkage, the plastic part is deformed without warping, and only the size is reduced; however, achieving low shrinkage or uniform shrinkage is a very complex task due to the interactive effects of many factors such as molecular chain/fiber orientation, mold cooling, mold design, and forming conditions.
