The display panel provided in this embodiment adopts bilateral driving, which can improve the transmission speed of the gate signal of the display panel and improve the display quality of the display panel, and the size of the driving unit disposed at one side of the groove is smaller than that of the driving unit in the third non-display area, and the larger size of the driving unit in the third non-display area can make the driving signal more stable, thereby improving the display quality of the display panel.

The invention also provides a display device comprising the display panel provided by the invention. Specifically, referring to fig. 9 to 11, fig. 9 is a schematic perspective view of a side a of a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, fig. 10 is a schematic perspective view of a side B of a display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 11 is a schematic structural view of a display device in a planar state according to an embodiment of the present invention.

The display device provided by the embodiment comprises: a display panel 1000 and an image pickup element 2000;

the display panel 1000 includes:

display partition one AA1 and display partition two AA 2;

display area one AA1 includes planar area 100 and inflection area 200;

the first display subarea AA1 and the second display subarea AA2 are arranged along the first direction X, and the plane area 100 and the second display subarea AA2 are positioned on two opposite sides of the bending area 200 along the first direction X;

the maximum length of the planar area 100 along the second direction Y is L1, the minimum length of the display sub-area two AA2 along the second direction Y is L2, and L2< L1;

wherein the first direction X and the second direction Y intersect;

the direction perpendicular to the planar area 100 is the third direction Z;

bending area 200 is in a bending state, and planar area 100 and display area two AA2 are overlapped along third direction Z; the image pickup element 2000 and the display area two AA2 are located on the same side of the planar area 100, and the lens 20A of the image pickup element 2000 is located on the side of the image pickup element 2000 away from the planar area 100.

In the display device provided in this embodiment, the first display partition AA1 and the second display partition AA2 have a display function for displaying image information. For example, the display partition one AA1 and the display partition two AA2 may respectively include a plurality of pixels (not shown).

Display area AA1 includes a planar area 100 and a bending area 200, where the planar area 100 is in a flat state and the bending area 200 has a bending function. Optionally, the display panel is made of a flexible material resistant to bending.

The lengths of the planar area 100 and the display sub-area two AA2 are not exactly the same. Specifically, along the second direction Y, the maximum length L1 of the planar area 100 is larger, and the minimum length of the display sub-area two AA2 is L2 smaller, and L2< L1. The present embodiment is described by taking the planar area 100 and the display area two AA2 as an example. The display panel on the side of the display partition two AA2 has an edge a1 and an edge b1 which are opposite to each other, the display panel on the side of the display partition one AA1 has an edge c1 and an edge d1 which are opposite to each other, the edge a1 and the edge b1 are located on opposite sides of the display partition two AA2 along the second direction Y, and the edge c1 and the edge d1 are located on opposite sides of the display partition one AA1 along the second direction Y. Where edge a1 and edge c1 are not flush, and edge b1 and edge d1 are not flush.

Because the length of the second display partition AA2 is shorter, when the display panel provided by this embodiment is applied to a display device, the display panel on the side of the second display partition AA2 can avoid a space for the image pickup device 2000, which is beneficial to highly integrating the image pickup device 2000 and the display panel, and the image pickup device 2000 in the display device does not occupy the space of the display panel on the side of the planar area 100, so that the display device on the side of the planar area 100 can achieve the technical effect of a full-screen.

The display device provided by the embodiment comprises the display panel provided by any one of the above embodiments of the invention. Fig. 9 to 11 illustrate the display device by taking a mobile phone as an example. The mobile phone provided by the embodiment has a double-sided display function, fig. 9 illustrates a side a of the mobile phone, fig. 10 illustrates a side B of the mobile phone, the side a of the mobile phone has a full-screen display effect, and the side B of the mobile phone integrates a camera element. The method and the device are used for using the A surface or the B surface according to specific use requirements and use scenes, so that diversified requirements of users are met, and use experience of the users is improved.

Optionally, a part of the display panel in the first display partition AA1 is an organic light emitting display panel, and at least a part of the display panel in the second display partition AA2 is an electrophoretic display panel. Since the power consumption of the electrophoretic display panel is low, the power consumption of the display device can be reduced when the user uses only the B-plane.

It should be understood by those skilled in the art that the display device provided in the embodiment of the present invention may be a computer or other double-sided display device with a display function, and the present invention is not limited thereto. The display device provided in the embodiment of the present invention has the beneficial effects of the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present invention, and specific reference may be made to the specific description of the display panel in each of the above embodiments, which is not repeated herein.

In some alternative embodiments, with continued reference to fig. 9 and 10, the display device includes a first mode and a second mode;

in the first mode, the display partition one AA1 is in a display state, and the display partition two AA2 is in a non-display state;

in the second mode, the display partition one AA1 is in a non-display state, and the display partition two AA2 is in a display state.

The present embodiment is described by taking a display device as a mobile phone as an example. In the first mode, the display section one AA1 is in a display state, and the user can view pictures, videos and the like displayed by the display section one AA1 by using the a-plane. Display partition two AA2 does not perform a display function.

In the second mode, the display section two AA2 is in a display state, and the user can view pictures, videos, and the like displayed in the display section two AA2 by using the B-plane. Display partition one AA1 does not perform a display function.

Optionally, the second mode is a photographing mode or a chat mode. When the display device enables the image pickup element 2000 to perform a photographing function, the user can view the display section two AA2 to complete self-photographing.

When a user chats, the display partition two AA2 is in a display state to display simple text and image information, and the display partition one AA1 is in a non-display state, so that the power consumption of the display device can be saved. Optionally, a part of the display panel in the first display partition AA1 is an organic light emitting display panel, and at least a part of the display panel in the second display partition AA2 is an electrophoretic display panel.

In some optional embodiments, please refer to fig. 12 to 14, fig. 12 is a schematic diagram of an a-side structure of another display device provided in the embodiment of the present invention, fig. 13 is a schematic diagram of a B-side structure of another display device provided in the embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 14 is a schematic diagram of a planar state structure of another display device provided in the embodiment of the present invention.

The display panel comprises a special-shaped edge T, the display partition II AA2 comprises a plurality of data lines 1, and the data lines 1 and the special-shaped edge T both extend along the first direction X;

the special-shaped edge T is sunken towards the inside of the display partition II AA2 to form a first groove body CC 1;

the image pickup element 2000 is located in the first groove CC 1.

In this embodiment, the display section two AA2 may be adapted to the shape of the first groove body CC1, a section of the edge t of the display section two AA2 is recessed inward, and the display section two AA2 is disposed to surround the first groove body CC 1. Since the edge t of the display section two AA2 is recessed inward, the minimum length L2 of the display section two AA2 is smaller than the maximum length L1 of the planar area 100. Optionally, two sides of the bending region 200 along the second direction Y are respectively provided with a second groove CC2 and a third groove CC3, so that the bending region 200 is easier to bend.
