Abstract
The invention provides a display panel, a display module and an electronic device, wherein the display panel comprises: a backsheet layer comprising a first backsheet and a second backsheet; the flexible substrate disposed on the back plate layer, the flexible substrate including a first region, a second region, and a bending region connecting between the first region and the second region, the first region corresponding to the first back plate, the second region corresponding to the second back plate; the protective layer is positioned on one side of the flexible substrate bending area, and the supporting layer is positioned on the other side of the flexible substrate bending area; wherein, when the bending area is in a bending state, the bending area is semicircular. The invention ensures that the bending radiuses of the bending areas are equal by attaching the supporting layer on the inner surface of the bending area, reduces the bending stress borne by the conventional bending area and improves the reliability of the display module.
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of display, in particular to a display panel, a display module and an electronic device.
Background
In the flat panel display technology, an Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display has many advantages of being Light and thin, Emitting Light actively, fast in response speed, large in visible angle, wide in color gamut, high in brightness, low in power consumption, and the like, and is gradually becoming a third generation display technology following the liquid crystal display.
With the development of display industry technology, users have higher and higher requirements on the design of the display panel, such as the design of a narrow bezel.
Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional structural view of a display panel in the prior art, where the display panel includes a conductive layer 10, a buffer layer 20, a back plate layer, a flexible substrate 40, a light emitting device layer 50, a thin film encapsulation layer 60, and a polarizer; the back plate layer includes a first back plate 301 and a second back plate 302, the flexible substrate 40 includes a first region 701, a second region 702, and a bending region 703, and a protection layer needs to be disposed on the bending region 703 because a large number of power lines are formed on the bending region 703.
In the prior art, the surface of the photosensitive adhesive has poor flatness, which causes unequal arc radiuses of all sections of the bending area of the flexible substrate, i.e., the appearance effect of the bending area is poor, the bending stress born by the local area of the bending area is increased, and the reliability of the display module is reduced.
Therefore, a display panel is needed to solve the above problems.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides a display panel, a display module and an electronic device, which aim to solve the technical problem that bending stress borne by a bending area is increased due to unequal bending radius of the bending area of the conventional display panel.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a display panel including:
a backsheet layer comprising a first backsheet and a second backsheet;
a flexible substrate on the back plate layer, the flexible substrate including a first region for disposing a pixel array, a second region, and a bending region connecting between the first region and the second region, the first region corresponding to the first back plate, the second region corresponding to the second back plate;
the protective layer is positioned on one side of the flexible substrate bending area; and
the supporting layer is positioned on the other side of the flexible substrate bending area;
wherein, when the bending area is in a bending state, the bending area is semicircular.
In the display panel of the present invention, the support layer includes a first inorganic layer and a first organic layer, and the first organic layer is located between the first inorganic layer and the flexible substrate.
In the display panel of the present invention, the material of the first inorganic layer includes at least one of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or silicon oxynitride, and the material of the first organic layer includes polyimide.
In the display panel of the present invention, the thickness of the first inorganic layer is 1.5 to 1.9 micrometers, and the thickness of the first organic layer is 3.2 to 4 micrometers.
In the display panel of the present invention, the display panel further includes a thin film encapsulation layer on the first region, and the protective layer is separated from the thin film encapsulation layer.
In the display panel of the present invention, the support layer is separated from the back sheet layer.
In the display panel of the present invention, the bending region further includes an adhesive formed between the support layer and the flexible substrate.
In the display panel of the present invention, the display panel further includes a conductive layer and a buffer layer stacked in this order, and the conductive layer and the buffer layer are formed between the first region and the second region.
According to another aspect of the present invention, a display module is further provided, which includes the display panel.
According to another aspect of the present invention, an electronic device is also provided, which includes the display module described above.
Has the advantages that: the invention ensures that the bending radiuses of the bending areas are equal by attaching the supporting layer on the inner surface of the bending area, reduces the bending stress borne by the conventional bending area and improves the reliability of the display module.

Detailed Description
The following description of the various embodiments refers to the accompanying drawings that illustrate specific embodiments in which the invention may be practiced. The directional terms mentioned in the present invention, such as [ upper ], [ lower ], [ front ], [ rear ], [ left ], [ right ], [ inner ], [ outer ], [ side ], are only referring to the directions of the attached drawings. Accordingly, the directional terms used are used for explanation and understanding of the present invention, and are not used for limiting the present invention. In the drawings, elements having similar structures are denoted by the same reference numerals.
Fig. 2 is a film structure diagram of a display panel according to the present invention, the display panel includes:
a back sheet layer comprising a first back sheet 301 and a second back sheet 302;
a flexible substrate 40, wherein the flexible substrate 40 is located on the back plate layer, the flexible substrate 40 includes a first region 701 for disposing a pixel array, a second region 702, and a bending region 703 connecting the first region 701 and the second region 702, the first region 701 corresponds to the first back plate 301, and the second region 702 corresponds to the second back plate 302;
the protective layer 80 is positioned on one side of the bending area 703 of the flexible substrate 40;
a support layer 90 located on the other side of the bending region 703 of the flexible substrate 40;
when the bending region 703 is in a bent state, the bending region 703 is in a semicircular shape.
Preferably, the material of the protective layer 80 is ultraviolet photosensitive glue.
Specifically, the material of the flexible substrate 40 is polyimide.
In general, the pixel array disposed over the first region 701 includes:
a buffer layer disposed on the flexible substrate 40;
an array substrate disposed on the buffer layer;
a light emitting device layer 50 disposed on the array substrate;
a planarization layer and a pixel defining layer disposed on the array substrate;
typically, the devices disposed over the second region 702 include signal traces.
In the display panel of the invention, the low flatness of the protection layer 80 causes the bending radii of the regions in the bending region 703 to be unequal, and the bending stress of the local bending region 703 is increased, so that the display panel fails.
In the display panel of the present invention, the support layer 90 includes at least one inorganic layer and at least one organic layer sequentially stacked; in this embodiment, the supporting layer 90 includes a first inorganic layer and a first organic layer;
preferably, the material of the first inorganic layer includes at least one of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or silicon oxynitride;
preferably, the material of the first organic layer includes;
preferably, the thickness of the first inorganic layer is 1.5 to 1.9 micrometers;
preferably, the thickness of the first organic layer is 3.2 to 4 micrometers.
In the display panel of the present invention, the support layer 90 is separated from the back sheet layer; as shown in fig. 2, when one end of the supporting layer 90 is away from the first backsheet 301, that is, when the bending region 703 is in a bent state, there is a certain distance between the supporting layer 90 near the one end of the first backsheet 301 and the first backsheet 301, that is, the area a is a section of the bending region 703 with the smallest bending rate, and the bending stress is also the smallest, and the area a does not need to be coated with the supporting layer, so that the supporting layer 90 in the area a is away from the first backsheet 301;
for region B, the end of the support layer 90 near the second back plate 302 is away from the second back plate 302; as shown in fig. 2, the end point of the support layer 90 near the end of the second back plate 302 is located in the bending region 703 of the flexible substrate 40; as shown in fig. 3, the end of the support layer 90 near the end of the second back plate 302 is located on the second region 702 of the flexible substrate 40, but is away from the second back plate 302.
In the display panel of the present invention, the display panel further includes an optical adhesive disposed on the bending region 703, the optical adhesive is formed between the flexible substrate 40 and the support layer 90, and the support layer 90 is attached to the flexible substrate 40 by the optical adhesive;
it can be understood that when the bending region 703 is in a bent state, the present invention makes the bending radius of each segment of the bending region 703 equal through the characteristics of the material of the support layer 90 and the action of the optical glue.
In the display panel of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, a thin film encapsulation layer 60 for protecting a light emitting device layer 50 is disposed on a surface of the first region 701, and the protection layer 80 is separated from the thin film encapsulation layer 60, that is, a certain distance exists between the thin film encapsulation layer 60 and the protection layer 80, so as to prevent the thin film encapsulation layer 60 from directly contacting the protection layer 80;
it is understood that the protective layer 80 and the thin film encapsulation layer 60 may also be in direct contact to protect the flexible substrate 40 under the thin film encapsulation layer 60 and the protective layer 80.
In the display panel of the present invention, the display panel further includes a conductive layer 10 and a buffer layer 20 stacked in sequence, the conductive layer 10 and the buffer layer 20 are formed between the first region 701 and the second region 702; the buffer layer 20 is formed on the conductive layer 10, the buffer layer 20 is attached to the first backplane 301, and the wire layer 10 is attached to the second backplane 302;
preferably, the material of the conductive layer 10 is metal copper;
it is understood that the second region 702 is bent to one side of the first region 701 through the bending region 703, so that the second back plate 302 is attached to the conductive layer 10.
According to another aspect of the invention, a display module is further provided, which includes the display panel, and further includes a touch layer, a polarizing layer and a cover plate layer sequentially disposed on the display panel, wherein the packaging layer is bonded to the touch layer through a first optical adhesive layer, and the polarizing layer is bonded to the cover plate layer through a second optical adhesive layer.
According to another aspect of the present invention, an electronic device is also provided, which includes the display module.
The working principle of the display module and the working principle of the electronic device are similar to the working principle of the display panel, and the working principle of the display module and the working principle of the electronic device can specifically refer to the working principle of the display panel, which is not repeated herein.
The invention provides a display panel, a display module and an electronic device, wherein the display panel comprises: a backsheet layer comprising a first backsheet and a second backsheet; the flexible substrate disposed on the back plate layer, the flexible substrate including a first region, a second region, and a bending region connecting between the first region and the second region, the first region corresponding to the first back plate, the second region corresponding to the second back plate; the protective layer is positioned on one side of the flexible substrate bending area, and the supporting layer is positioned on the other side of the flexible substrate bending area; wherein, when the bending area is in a bending state, the bending area is semicircular. The invention ensures that the bending radiuses of the bending areas are equal by attaching the supporting layer on the inner surface of the bending area, reduces the bending stress borne by the conventional bending area and improves the reliability of the display module.
In summary, although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, the above-described preferred embodiments are not intended to limit the present invention, and those skilled in the art can make various changes and modifications without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, therefore, the scope of the present invention shall be determined by the appended claims.
Claims (9)
1. A display panel, comprising:
a backsheet layer comprising a first backsheet and a second backsheet;
a flexible substrate on the back plate layer, the flexible substrate including a first region for disposing a pixel array, a second region, and a bending region connecting between the first region and the second region, the first region corresponding to the first back plate, the second region corresponding to the second back plate;
the protective layer is positioned on one side of the flexible substrate bending area; and
the supporting layer is positioned on the other side of the flexible substrate bending area;
when the bending area is in a bending state, the bending area is semicircular;
the end point of one end, close to the second back plate, of the supporting layer is located on the second area, and the supporting layer is separated from the second back plate.
2. The display panel of claim 1, wherein the support layer comprises a first inorganic layer and a first organic layer, the first organic layer being between the first inorganic layer and the flexible substrate.
3. The display panel of claim 2, wherein the material of the first inorganic layer comprises at least one of silicon nitride, silicon oxide, or silicon oxynitride,
the material of the first organic layer includes polyimide.
4. The display panel according to claim 2, wherein the first inorganic layer has a thickness of 1.5 to 1.9 micrometers and the first organic layer has a thickness of 3.2 to 4 micrometers.
5. The display panel of claim 1, further comprising a thin film encapsulation layer on the first region, wherein the protective layer is separated from the thin film encapsulation layer.
6. The display panel of claim 1, wherein the bend region further comprises an adhesive formed between the support layer and the flexible substrate.
7. The display panel according to claim 1, further comprising a conductive layer and a buffer layer stacked in this order, the conductive layer and the buffer layer being formed between the first region and the second region.
8. A display module comprising the display panel according to any one of claims 1 to 7.
9. An electronic device, comprising the display module according to claim 8.
