As shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a video playing progress synchronization system according to an embodiment of the present invention. The system comprises a plurality of OTT devices, wherein the OTT devices comprise a target device and other devices 1, 2, … … and other devices n, and the OTT devices are located in the same local area network. The OTT device may be a television, a set-top box, or the like, and the local area network may be a WIFI local area network.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a video playing progress synchronization method according to an embodiment of the present invention. The method is applied to the video service of the open Internet, and the video service of the open Internet comprises the Internet television service. As shown in the figure, the method in the embodiment of the present invention includes:
s201, the target device sends a play synchronization request to other devices in the same local area network.
In the specific implementation, after a user switches to a target device to watch a video and clicks a watching history page entering the target device, whether other devices exist in the same local area network is detected, if other devices exist in the same local area network, whether the user initiates a video playing progress synchronization process between different devices is prompted, and after the user confirms that the video playing progress synchronization process between the different devices is initiated, the target device sends a playing synchronization request to the other devices in the same local area network. If no other device exists in the same local area network or the user does not need to synchronize the playing progress records of other devices, the video playing progress synchronization process among different devices is skipped over, and the process is terminated.
S202, the target device receives the play progress record sent by the other devices.
In a specific implementation, after receiving a play synchronization request sent by a target device, other devices each obtain N latest play-in-degree records of their own and send the N play-in-degree records to the target device, where N may include but is not limited to 5 or 10.
And S203, the target device determines the playing progress information of the video to be played currently according to a plurality of playing progress records, wherein the plurality of playing progress records comprise the playing progress record of the target device and the playing progress records sent by other devices.
In a specific implementation, if video playing ending times in the multiple playing progress records are the same, the target device merges the multiple playing progress records to obtain the playing progress information. And if the video playing ending time in the plurality of playing progress records is different, the target equipment selects a target playing progress record from the plurality of playing progress records as the playing progress information.
Further optionally, if the video playing end times in the multiple playing progress records are different, the multiple playing progress records may be displayed to prompt a user to select the playing progress information from the multiple playing progress records.
Further optionally, if the video playing end times of the multiple playing progress records are different, the playing progress record with the latest video playing end time may be selected as the playing progress information.
Further optionally, if the video playing end times of the multiple playing schedules are different, a selection instruction input by a user can be received; and according to the selection instruction, selecting a target playing progress record from the plurality of playing progress records as the playing progress information.
And S204, the target equipment plays the video needing to be played currently according to the playing progress information.
In a specific implementation, after the playing progress information of a video which needs to be played currently is determined, when a confirmation instruction aiming at the playing progress information is detected, a video playing request is sent to a media server, wherein the video playing request comprises an initial time point of the video which needs to be played currently; after receiving the video playing request, the media server returns the video to be played currently to the target device according to the starting time point, and the target device receives the video to be played currently sent by the media server and plays the video.
For example, when a user needs to switch an OTT device and continue to watch a video being played on the current device (e.g., change from a living room television to a bedroom television), a synchronous playing request is sent from the bedroom television to the living room television; after receiving the synchronous play request, the TV set in the living room sends the local latest N play progress records of the TV set in the living room to the TV set in the living room; after the bedroom television receives the N playing progress records sent by the living room television, one playing progress record is selected as playing progress information of the bedroom television by combining the local original playing progress records, and the video playing progress synchronization and continuous playing functions among different devices can be realized by clicking the playing progress information.
It should be noted that, because the shared account is not required to log in to the server, and only the play progress record needs to be acquired from other devices in other local area networks, the leakage of the personal use behavior information (such as search, comment, and the like) of the user is not caused, and the security of the information is ensured.
In the embodiment of the invention, a play synchronization request is sent to other devices in the same local area network; then receiving the play progress record sent by the other equipment; and secondly, determining the playing progress information of the video needing to be played currently according to the plurality of playing progress records, and finally playing the video needing to be played currently according to the playing progress information. The target device determines the playing progress information of the current video to be played by combining other devices in the same local area network and the playing progress record of the target device, and mutual interference during cross-device video watching progress sharing in an OTT scene is reduced.

In the specific implementation, after the target device opens the APP, the user may be reminded to preferentially detect whether there are other available OTT devices in the same local area network, in the detection process, a user-defined private protocol may be adopted to broadcast a device detection request to all OTT devices in the same local area network, after receiving the device detection request, other OTT devices in the same local area network return a response message to the target device, where the response message includes device identifiers (e.g., device name, MAC address, local area network IP, and the like) of the other devices. If some devices fail to return a response message, the device fails to provide video synchronization services to the target device.
And S303, the target device acquires the device list of other devices in the same area network.
In a specific implementation, the device identifier in the response message returned by the other device may be acquired, and the device identifier of the other device may be added to the device list. Optionally, after determining the device list, the priority of each device identifier in the device list may be set.
And S304, the target device initiates play synchronization to other devices in the same local area network according to the device list.
In a specific implementation, a play synchronization request may be sent to devices corresponding to all device identifiers in a device list; or selecting a device identifier from the device list, and sending a play synchronization request to the device corresponding to the device identifier. After receiving the play synchronization request sent by the target device, the other devices each obtain the latest N play-in-degree records of their own and send the N play-in-degree records to the target device, where N may include but is not limited to 5 or 10.
Optionally, the device priority of each device in the other devices may be obtained; and sending the playing synchronization request to the other devices in the same local area network according to the device priority of each device. If the synchronous video content which needs to be watched by the user is obtained from the equipment with high priority, the playing synchronization is stopped to be initiated to other equipment, and if the synchronous video content which needs to be watched by the user is not obtained from the equipment with high priority, the playing synchronization is initiated to other equipment with low priority.
S305, the target device integrates the self play progress record and the play progress records of other devices.
In addition, after the playing progress information of the video which needs to be played currently is determined, when a confirmation instruction aiming at the playing progress information is detected, a video playing request is sent to a media server, wherein the video playing request comprises the starting time point of the video which needs to be played currently; after receiving the video playing request, the media server returns the video to be played currently to the target device according to the starting time point, and the target device receives the video to be played currently sent by the media server and plays the video.
