[0001] 本申请涉及储能器件领域,尤其涉及一种动力电池顶盖结构及动力电池。
背景技术
[0002]由于动力电池(例如锂离子电池)具有能量密度高、功率密度高、循环使用次数多、 存储时间长等优点,在移动电话、数码摄像机和手提电脑等便携式电子设备上得到了广泛 使用,并且在电动汽车、电动自行车等电动交通工具及储能设施等大中型电动设备方面有 着广泛的应用前景,成为解决能源危机和环境污染等全球性问题的关键。
[0003]由于动力电池过充时,动力电池中的电解液分解会使动力电池内部压力增大导致 电池着火和爆炸。为了防止由内部压力的增大引起的着火和爆炸,通常设置外部短路单元。 当动力电池的内部压力增大时,外部短路单元将裸电芯的正极片和负极片与动力电池的外 部进行短路,由此减少裸电芯的充电状态。
[0004] 然而,上述结构却会降低动力电池应对高温环境的能力,例如上述结构在应对热 箱(Hot-Box)测试时,动力电池出现热失控的概率大大增加。具体原因为:在高温环境下,动 力电池中不仅内部气压会随着电解液在高温下的分解而增大,而且裸电芯的内阻也会增 大;此时如果翻转片翻转使动力电池的正极片和负极片形成外部短路,裸电芯会由于其内 阻的增加以及短路电流的存在产生更大的热量,从而加剧动力电池起火、爆炸的风险。换句 话说,现有的外部短路单元只能解决常温条件时动力电池的过充问题,但是在高温环境下 会增大热失控概率。
[0005] 有鉴于此,确有必要对现有的动力电池顶盖结构做进一步的改进,使动力电池不 仅能解决常温条件时动力电池的过充问题,并且在高温环境下不会增大热失控概率。
发明内容
[0006] 本申请提供了一种动力电池顶盖结构及动力电池,能够解决上述问题。
[0007] 本申请实施例的第一方面提供了一种动力电池顶盖结构,包括第一电极组件、第 二电极组件、顶盖片以及翻转片,

[0092] 本申请实施例提供了 一种动力电池,如图1和图4所示,包括动力电池顶盖结构1、 裸电芯2、外壳3、第一连接件4以及第二连接件5,裸电芯2通常由正极片、负极片以及隔膜通 过绕卷或层叠方式形成,在正极片以及负极片上分别引出正极极耳2a以及负极极耳2b。夕卜 壳3—般为金属材质,并与动力电池顶盖结构1共同组成用于容纳裸电芯2的腔体,裸电芯2 便设于该腔体内。
[0093] 如图1和图5所示,动力电池顶盖结构1包括第一电极组件10、第二电极组件12、顶 盖片14以及翻转片16。其中,第一电极组件10以及第二电极组件12均附接到顶盖片14上,并 且,第一电极组件10和第二电极组件12二者之一通过第一连接件4连接裸电芯的正极极耳 2a或负极极耳2b,剩下的一个电极组件则通过第二连接件5连接裸电芯的另一个极耳。例 如,如图1所示,第一电极组件10通过第一连接件4与裸电芯2的负极极耳2b电连接,同时,第 二电极组件12通过第二连接件5与裸电芯2的正极极耳2a电连接,用于将动力电池的正极以 及负极分别引出。又如图4和图5所示,第一电极组件10通过第一连接件4与裸电芯2的正极 极耳2a电连接,同时,第二电极组件12通过第二连接件5与裸电芯2的负极极耳2b电连接。 [0094] 如图2至6所示,第一电极组件10包括第一极柱100、第一密封件102、第一连接块 104、第一上绝缘件106以及第一下绝缘件108等结构。在本实施例中,第一连接块104包括极 柱连接部1040、熔断部1042以及翻转片连接部1044,极柱连接部1040与翻转片连接部1044 通过熔断部1042相连。熔断部1042具有比极柱连接部1040和翻转片连接部1044低的熔点。 [0095] 第一连接块104位于顶盖片14的上方,第一上绝缘件106位于第一连接块104与顶 盖片14之间,并将第一连接块104与顶盖片14电绝缘。同时,第一上绝缘件106上具备翻转片 穿孔1060,翻转片连接部1044由翻转片穿孔1060露出。
[0096] 极柱连接部1040用于连接第一极柱100,具体地,第一极柱100穿过第一密封件 102、顶盖片14以及第一上绝缘件106,并与极柱连接部1040通过铆接、焊接等方式进行固 定,同时也使二者之间形成电连接关系,从而将动力电池的负极与第一连接块104实现电导 通。第一下绝缘件108将第一极柱100与顶盖片14的下表面隔离,防止二者进行电连接。
[0097] 如图2和图3所示,第二电极组件12包括第二极柱120、第二密封件122、第二连接块 124以及第二下绝缘件126等结构。其中,第二密封件122以及第二下绝缘件126位于第二极 柱120与顶盖片14的下表面之间,第二连接块124位于顶盖片14的上方,第二极柱120的顶端 穿过第二密封件122以及顶盖片14,并与第二连接块124通过铆接、焊接或其它方式连接在 一起,并同时将第二连接块124、第二密封件122以及第二下绝缘件126—起夹紧固定。
[0098] 在本实施例中,第一电极组件10与第二电极组件12均可以与顶盖片14绝缘连接, 但通常情况下,为了防止顶盖片14以及外壳3腐蚀,会将动力电池的正极与顶盖片14电连 接,使顶盖片14以及外壳3带正电,防止腐蚀。因此,当第一电极组件10或者第二电极组件12 连接正极极耳2a时,可以将连接正极极耳2a的第一电极组件10或者第二电极组件12与顶盖 片14电连接,或者也可以直接将第一极柱100或者第二极柱120直接集成在顶盖片14上,从 而使顶盖片14带正电。
[0099] 在本实施例中,翻转片16可以设置在顶盖片14上,也可以设置在第二极柱120上。 下面对两种设置方式分别进行介绍。
[0100] 如图2和图3所示,当翻转片16设置在顶盖片14上时,在顶盖片14上设置翻转片连 接孔140,翻转片16密封翻转片连接孔140,从而使翻转片16的上下两侧分别处于不同的气 压环境下。同时,翻转片16还与第二电极组件12始终处于电连接状态。通常情况下,为了防 止顶盖片14以及外壳3腐蚀,会将动力电池的正极与顶盖片14电连接,这种情况下,只需将 翻转片I6与翻转片连接孔140电连接,便保证翻转片16与第二电极组件12始终处于电连接 状态。
[0101]如图4至图6所示,当翻转片16设置在第二极柱120上时,翻转片连接孔140设置在 第二极柱120上,此时,顶盖片14上具有翻转片通过孔142,翻转片连接部1044处于翻转片连 接孔140的上方,翻转片通过孔142与翻转片连接孔140相对设置。翻转片16与翻转片连接孔 140密封且电连接。与此同时,处于翻转片通过孔142的内部的空间与处于翻转片16的下方 的空间(即容纳裸电芯2的腔体空间)之间也要相对独立,不能连通在一起,从而防止气体或 电解液由动力电池的内部空间抵达翻转片通过孔142的内部,造成翻转片16两侧无法形成 压差或者电解液由翻转片通过孔142泄露到动力电池之外。通常可以通过在第二极柱120与 顶盖片14之间设置环绕翻转片通过孔142的密封圈128等密封构件的方式进行密封,从而将 两部分空间相互独立,当然也不排除在其它部位设置密封构件的方式。
[0102]通常情况下,第一电极组件10与第二电极组件12会分别位于顶盖片的两端,因此, 此时的第一连接块104需要抵达第二电极组件12附近才能够处于翻转片16的上方。然而,顶 盖片14的中部往往还会设置注液孔144、防爆孔146等结构,为了不妨碍注液孔144以及防爆 孔146的正1¾使用,第~'连接块104需要设置避让孔1046等结构对注液孔144以及防爆孔146 进行避让。并且,为了便于装配,可以为第一连接块104设计单独的铆接件l〇4a,铆接件104a 用于与第一极柱1〇〇进行铆接固定,同时将第一连接块104的其它部分一并固定。
[0103] 此外,此时本实施例中的第一上绝缘件106还能够同时充当第二连接块124与顶盖 片14的绝缘部件(参见图4)。
[0104] 正常情况下,将外部用电设备(图中未示出)分别连接第一电极组件10以及第二电 极组件12,则便能够形成一个经由正极极耳2a、第二连接件5、第二电极组件12、外部用电设 备、第一电极组件10、第一连接件4抵达负极极耳2b的电力输出回路,将裸电芯2的电能提供 给外部用电设备。
[0105] 在动力电池面临过充时,动力电池的内部会产生大量的气体以及热量,使动力电 池内部的压力急剧增加。当动力电池的内部压力超过促使翻转片16翻转的基准压力时,翻 转片16能够向上翻起与翻转片连接部1044接触电连接,从而使动力电池形成正极经由正极 极耳2a、第二连接件5、第二电极组件12、顶盖片14、翻转片16、翻转片连接部1044、熔断部 1042、极柱连接部1040、第一极柱100、第一连接件4、负极极耳2b抵达负极的短路回路,并形 成短路电流。当短路发生时,由于正极和负极之间瞬间(或基本上瞬间)有很大的电流流动, 因此裸电芯2被放电,从而有效缓解动力电池的过充情况。
[0106] 然而,在过充情况过于严重时,仅通过放电的方式很可能无法抑制过充情况的加 剧,因此,本实施例还可在第二连接件5上开设缺口或孔从而形成熔断构件6,当然熔断构件 6也可以同时或单独设置在第一连接件4上。在短路回路内,保证熔断构件6的电阻为最大 值,这样,短路电流在熔断构件6处会产生局部高温,使熔断构件6熔断,从而断开动力电池 的短路回路以及电力输出回路。
[0107] 而当动力电池处于高温环境并使翻转片16翻转后,依然会形成上述短路回路,然 而,此时由于整体环境温度较高,而非局部高温,因此即使熔断构件6不会被局部高温熔断, 熔断部1042也会在此环境下熔化,从而切断翻转片连接部1044与极柱连接部1040的电连接 关系,使整个短路回路断开。断开后动力电池的内部便不会再因短路电流而产生气体和热 量,因此大幅提高了动力电池应对高温环境的能力。
[0108] 熔断部1042可通过镶嵌、焊接、浇注等方式与极柱连接部1040以及翻转片连接部 1044进行结合。并且,熔断部1042的熔点要适中,如果熔点过高则可能导致熔化过慢甚至不 熔化,无法及时切断短路电流,而如果熔点过低则可能导致正常的工况环境下发生熔化,使 动力电池无法正常使用。所以熔断部1042的熔点基本处于80〜200°C范围内,最佳的熔点范 围是100〜150°C。
[0109] 在材料方面,由于熔断部1042的电阻值不能超过熔断构件6的电阻值,因此最好采 用阻值较低的金属材料,通常为至少包含祕、锡、铅、锌中的一种或几种低溶点金属元素的 金属合金。其中,以铋基合金和锡基合金为较佳选择。从综合性能来看,铋锡合金是最为适 合的材料。第一连接件4、第一极柱100、极柱连接部1040、翻转片连接部1044、顶盖片14、翻 转片16、第二极柱120以及第二连接件5的材质可以采用铜或者铝,只要其熔点高于熔断部 1042的熔点即可。
[0110] 熔断部1042在被融化后会在重力作用下向下流动,然而,由于第一连接块104的下 方有第一上绝缘件106,因此,如果熔断部1042熔化后被第一上绝缘件106所阻挡,使极柱连 接部1040与翻转片连接部1044依然保留电连接关系,则会导致短路电流无法被完全切断。 [0111] 为了避免上述问题,参见图3和图6,熔断部1042也位于翻转片16的上方,这样,熔 断部1042熔化后会流入翻转片连接孔140内,最终被翻转片16所阻挡,而不会继续留存在第 一上绝缘件106上,从而可以有效避免熔化后的熔断部1〇42继续电连接极柱连接部1040与 翻转片连接部1044。
[0112]由于第一连接块104由三部分构成,因此为了提高连接强度以及紧密性,熔断部 1042与极柱连接部1040之间最好存在多个第一连接面(图中未标号),而基于同样的原因, 熔断部1042与翻转片连接部1044之间也最好存在多个第二连接面(图中未标号)。这些第一 连接面之间或者第二连接面之间会呈一定夹角,从而提高熔断部1042与极柱连接部1040, 或者熔断部1042与翻转片连接部1〇44之间的连接强度。这些第一结合面之间或者第二结合 面之间可以构成“V”形(参见图7)、“Z”形、直角形(参见图8)、锯齿形(参见图9)等形状。
[0113] 具体地,以直角形为例,参见图8,可以在熔断部1042上设置若干连续或非连续的 第一凹槽(或凸脊,图8中为凹槽)1042a以及第二凹槽(或凸脊,图8中为凹槽)1042b,而在极 柱连接部1040上设置与第一凹槽(或凸脊)i〇42a相对应的第一凸脊(或凹槽,图8中为凸脊) 1040a;同时,翻转片连接部1044上设置与第二凹槽(或凸脊)l〇42b相对应的第二凸脊(或凹 槽,图8中为凸脊)1042a以及凸脊(或凹槽,图8中为凸脊)1044a,当第一凹槽(或凸脊)1042a 与第一凸脊(或凹槽)1040a啮合后便形成了前述的多个第一连接面,同样的,当第二凹槽 (或凸脊)104¾与第二凸脊(或凹槽)1〇44a啮合后,便形成了前述的多个第二连接面。
[0114]与此同时,由于第一连接块1〇4由三部分构成,而翻转片16在翻转过程中会对翻转 片连接部1044施加向上的作用力,因此如果翻转片w所施加的作用力过大,则可能造成翻 转片连接部1044被弹起甚至被弹飞。又或者,当熔断部1042熔断后,翻转片连接部1044便成 为一个单独的部分,该部分如果缺乏必要的限制,也很可能(尤其是向上方)脱离动力电池。 为了防止上述情况的发生,本实施例在第一上绝缘件106上设置了一个限制部1〇62,限制部 1062能够通过卡紧、按压等方式与翻转片连接部1044进行配合,限制翻转片连接部1044向 上移动。其中,较为间单的方式是由第一上绝缘件106延伸出一个护罩1062 (为了便于理解, 沿用限制部的附图标记1062)罩在翻转片穿孔1060的上方,翻转片连接部伸到护罩1062的 下方。这样,护罩1062便能够罩在翻转片连接部1044的上方,防止翻转片连接部1044被翻转 片16弹起。
[0115] 当熔断部1042熔化后,第一连接块104会断成极柱连接部1040与翻转片连接部 1044两部分,其中,极柱连接部1040由于与第一极柱100固定连接,因此不会发生相对移动, 但翻转片连接部1044与翻转片16仅仅是接触关系,并没有固定。也就是说,在有些情况下, 例如振动、冲击等情况发生时,翻转片连接部1044很有可能发生横向移动,与极柱连接部 1040连接在一起,重新形成短路回路。因此,本实施例可以将翻转片连接部1〇44与第一上绝 缘件106固定连接,避免翻转片连接部1044发生移动。此时,护罩1062参与翻转片连接部 1044的固定,也就是将翻转片连接部1044嵌入第一上绝缘件106的护罩1062下方的区域内。 [0116]本申请实施例所提供的动力电池顶盖结构不仅能够解决动力电池在常温环境下 的过充问题,并且能够在高温环境下将熔断部熔断,切断短路电流,大幅提高了动力电池适 应高温环境的能力。
