A groove 5214 is formed on an upper edge of each of the vertical portions 5213, and correspondingly, each of the combination portions 5211 is provided with a corner 5212, the corner 5212 is located behind the groove 5214, and when the extending portion 52 is punched but not bent, the groove 5214 is used for accommodating the corner 5212 and preventing the corner 5212 from impacting the vertical portion 5213, so as to protect the vertical portion 5213. The combining portion 5211 extends forward from the front end of the board body 51, so that the risk of breaking the connecting portion 521 and the board body 51 is reduced, the limitation of the connecting portion 521 on the movement of the locking portion 522 is enhanced, the deformation of the extending portion 52 is further reduced, and the injection molding of the insulating body 3 is facilitated.
As shown in fig. 3, 4 and 5, the rear end portion 523 is parallel to the plate body 51 and exposed on the surface of the tongue plate 31, the end of the rear end portion 523 is provided with the bending portion 524, and the bending portion 524 is bent toward the direction close to the plate body 51 and embedded in the tongue plate 31. When the mating electrical connector is separated from the electrical connector 100, the mating connector abuts against and is away from the tongue plate 31 along the extending portion 52, and by providing the bending portion 524, the extending portion 52 is fixed at two sides of the tongue plate 31 and is not easy to separate from the tongue plate 31.
As shown in fig. 1, 2 and 4, a first grounding portion 53 extending toward the sidewall of the shielding shell 2 is disposed on both sides of the rear end of the plate 51, and the first grounding portion 53 passes through the base portion 32 and abuts against the inner sidewall of the shielding shell 2 to achieve grounding. Similarly, the upper row of ground terminals 41 and the lower row of ground terminals 41 each extend out of a second ground portion 42 toward the sidewall of the shielding shell 2, the second ground portion 42 is located in front of the first ground portion 53, and the second ground portion 42 abuts against the inner sidewall of the shielding shell 2 to achieve grounding.
Referring to fig. 6 and 7, a second embodiment of the electrical connector 100 of the present invention is different from the first embodiment in that: the rear end portion 523 extends from the latching portion 522 in a direction perpendicular to the board body 51 but does not contact with the board body 51, the rear end portion 523 is embedded in the tongue plate 31 and exposed to the latching groove 36, and when the mating electrical connector is separated from the electrical connector 100, the extending portion 52 is clamped in the tongue plate 31, so that the risk that the extending portion 52 is separated from the tongue plate 31 can be reduced.
Referring to fig. 8, 9 and 10, a third embodiment of the electrical connector 100 of the present invention is different from the first embodiment in that: the rear end portion 523 is embedded in a step portion 311 of the tongue plate 31, further, a protruding portion 525 protrudes upward and downward from a tip of the rear end portion 523, and the protruding portion 525 is embedded in the step portion 311, so that the holding force of the extending portion 52 at the step portion 311 is enhanced, and the strength of the tongue plate 31 is further enhanced.
In summary, the electrical connector 100 of the present invention has the following beneficial effects:
(1) the shielding plate 5 has the plate body 51 and two extending portions 52 extending forward from the front end of the plate body 51, the plate surface of the extending portion 52 is perpendicular to the plate body 51, and a part of the plate surface is exposed to the front end surface and the side surface of the tongue plate 31, compared with the shielding plate 5 without the extending portion 52, the extending portion 52 can enhance the strength of the tongue plate 31, reduce the abrasion of the tongue plate 31 caused by multiple butting joints of the electrical connector 100 and the mating connector, and is beneficial to contacting the extending portion 52 when the mating connector is inserted into the electrical connector 100, so that the electrical connector 100 and the mating connector form a common grounding path.
(2) The combination portion 5211 is lifted up so that the upper surface of the combination portion 5211 is higher than the upper surface of the board body 51, and thus the upper row of the ground terminals 41 can abut against the upper surface of the combination portion 5211, thereby enhancing the grounding of the electrical connector 100.
(3) The vertical portion 5213 is formed by further bending the combining portion 5211 vertically downward, the vertical portion 5213 is connected to the locking portion 522, and the vertical portion 5213 is exposed at the front end surface of the tongue 31, so as to prevent the tongue 31 from striking the mating connector and damaging the tongue 31 when the mating connector is inserted into the electrical connector 100.
(4) The locking portions 522 are exposed in the locking grooves 36, when the electrical connector 100 is mated with the mating connector, the tongue-shaped plate 31 can be more tightly located in the receiving cavity of the mating connector, and a pause feeling can be generated when the electrical connector is completely mated, so that whether the electrical connector 100 is completely mated with the mating connector can be conveniently identified, and the in-place feeling when the electrical connector 100 is mated is enhanced; meanwhile, the grounding piece of the mating connector can contact the locking part 522 as much as possible, which facilitates the secure mating and grounding between the electrical connector 100 and the mating connector.
(5) Since the bent locking portions 522 are connected to the front end of the plate body 51 through the connecting portions 521, the connecting portions 521 limit the movement of the locking portions 522; the end of the extension 52 is located at the side of the plate body 51, so that the elastic deformation space of the locking part 522 is limited to the side of the plate body 51, that is, the elastic deformation space is small, when the shielding plate 5 is filled with resin in a mold, the extension 52 can bear the extrusion of the resin and be located at the front end and the side of the tongue plate 31, and the extension 52 can be ensured to be exposed at the front end and the side of the tongue plate 31.
(6) The bent portion 524 is disposed at the end of the rear end portion 523, or the rear end portion 523 extends from the latch portion 522 in a direction perpendicular to the plate body 51 and is exposed to the latch groove 36, or the end of the rear end portion 523 is disposed with a protruding portion 525 embedded in the step portion 311, so that the extending portion 52 is fixed at two sides of the tongue portion 31 and is not easily separated from the tongue portion 31.
The above detailed description is only for the purpose of illustrating the preferred embodiments of the present invention, and not for the purpose of limiting the scope of the present invention, therefore, all technical changes that can be made by applying the present specification and drawings are included in the scope of the present invention.
