Abstract
Description
【技术领域】
本发明有关一种电连接器及其制造方法,尤其涉及一种利用注塑成型(insertmolding)工艺制造而成的电连接器。
【背景技术】
2014年8月11日,USB协会公布了一种新型的电连接器,其插头连接器能够正反两方向插入对应的插座连接器,该插座连接器能够传输USB2.0及USB3.1信号,这个连接器命名为USB Type C连接器。根据目前业界报导的新闻,该电连接器后续有较大的发展潜力,各连接器厂商配合系统厂商积极开发中。
【发明内容】
本发明所要解决的技术问题是提供一种电连接器及其制造方法,其制造成本较低且电连接器整体强度良好。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明采用如下技术方案:
一种电连接器,其包括绝缘本体及一体成型于所述绝缘本体的导电端子与遮蔽板,所述绝缘本体定义有上端面及下端面,所述导电端子包括上排导电端子与下排导电端子,所述上排导电端子与所述下排导电端子分别包括排列在所述上端面与所述下端面的接触部,所述上排导电端子与所述下排导电端子均包括接地端子及电源端子,所述上端面设有若干第一凹孔,所述上排导电端子中的接地端子与电源端子的前端分别暴露于相应的第一凹孔,所述下端面设有若干第二凹孔,所述下排导电端子中的接地端子与电源端子的前端分别暴露于相应的第二凹孔。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器的制造方法,其包括:
(1)提供第一绝缘本体一体成型于下排导电端子及屏蔽板,所述第一绝缘本体的第一上端面形成有若干端子收容槽;
(2)上排导电端子安装于所述端子收容槽,提供第二绝缘本体一体成型于所述第一绝缘本体及所述上排导电端子而形成端子座,当模仁退去后,所述第二绝缘本体的上端面形成第一凹孔,所述第二绝缘本体的下端面形成第二凹孔,所述上排导电端子中的接地端子的前端与电源端子的前端暴露于所述第一凹孔,所述下排导电端子中的接地端子的前端与电源端子的前端暴露于所述第二凹孔,所述上排导电端子与所述下排导电端子分别包括排列在所述上端面与所述下端面的接触部。
相对于现有技术,本发明电连接器在成型所述第二绝缘本体时,所述模仁抵压所述上排导电端子中接地端子的前端、下排导电端子中接地端子的前端以使其与遮蔽板更紧密地贴合在一起,所述模仁同时也抵压所述上排导电端子中电源端子的前端及所述下排导电端子中电源端子的前端使其更紧密地贴合在一起,所述模仁退去后,所述绝缘本体的上端面与下端面分别形成有第一凹孔与第二凹孔。

【具体实施方式】
如下具体实施方式将结合上述附图进一步说明本发明。
参阅图1至图3,本发明公开了一种电连接器,所述电连接器100包括端子座10及金属壳体60。所述端子座10包括绝缘本体11以及由注塑成型(insert molding)工艺制造而共同埋设在绝缘本体11内的上排导电端子20、下排导电端子30及遮蔽板50。所述上排导电端子20与所述下排导电端子30的结构大致相同。所述遮蔽板50位于所述上排导电端子20与所述下排导电端子30之间。所述上排导电端子20包括上排接地端子21及上排电源端子22。所述下排导电端子30包括下排接地端子31及下排电源端子32。所述上排接地端子21的后端设有第二搭接部42,所述第二搭接部42自所述上排接地端子21的后端向外侧延伸。所述下排接地端子31的后端设有第二搭接部42,所述第二搭接部42自所述下排接地端子31的后端向外侧延伸。所述上排接地端子21与所述下排接地端子31的第二搭接部42均用于搭接于所述遮蔽板50。所述绝缘本体11包括基座16及对接舌板17。所述绝缘本体11具有上端面12及下端面14,所述上排导电端子20与所述下排导电端子30分别包括排列在所述上端面12与所述下端面14的接触部。所述上端面12设有若干第一凹孔13,所述下端面14设有若干第二凹孔15。参阅图6至图7,所述上排接地端子21位于所述上排导电端子20的两侧,所述下排接地端子31位于所述下排导电端子30的两侧。参阅图8至图11,所述上排接地端子21与所述下排接地端子31的前端均设有第一搭接部41,所述上排电源端子22与所述下排电源端子32的前端均设有第三搭接部43,所述上排接地端子21的第一搭接部41与上排电源端子22的第三搭接部43分别暴露于相应的第一凹孔13,所述下排接地端子31的第一搭接部41与下排电源端子32的第三搭接部43分别暴露于相应的第二凹孔15。所述第一搭接部41搭接于所述遮蔽板50。所述遮蔽板50的前端设有让位口51,所述上排电源端子22与所述下排电源端子32的第三搭接部43穿过所述让位口51而互相搭接。
请参图4及图7所示,一种电连接器的制造方法,其包括如下步骤:(1)提供第一绝缘本体111一体成型于下排导电端子30及屏蔽板50,所述第一绝缘本体111的第一上端面121形成有若干端子收容槽;(2)上排导电端子20安装于所述端子收容槽,提供第二绝缘本体112一体成型于所述第一绝缘本体111及所述上排导电端子20而形成端子座10,当模仁退去后,所述第二绝缘本体112的上端面122形成第一凹孔13,所述第二绝缘本体112的下端面142形成第二凹孔15,所述上排接地端子21的前端与所述上排电源端子22的前端暴露于所述第一凹孔13,所述下排接地端子31的前端与所述下排电源端子32的前端暴露于所述第二凹孔15,所述上排导电端子20与所述下排导电端子30分别包括排列在所述上端面122与所述下端面142的接触部;(3)在所述端子座10外侧罩设金属壳体60。
当成型所述第二绝缘本体112时,所述模仁抵压所述上排接地端子21的第一搭接部41、下排接地端子31的第一搭接部41以使其与遮蔽板50贴合在一起,所述模仁同时也抵压所述上排电源端子22的第三搭接部43及所述下排电源端子32的第三搭接部43使其贴合在一起。
综上所述,以上仅为本发明的较佳实施例而已,不应以此限制本发明的范围,即凡是依本发明权利要求书及说明书内容所作的简单的等效变化与修饰,皆应仍属本发明专利涵盖的范围内。
