Description

Active set updating method and device and mobile terminal
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to an active set updating method, an active set updating device, and a mobile terminal.
Background
WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is a 3G network technology, also known as 3G cellular network. When a mobile terminal performs a voice call through a WCDMA network, in order to ensure that the mobile terminal always resides in a cell with a good signal, various measurement events are usually used to trigger cell update, for example: when the pilot frequency which does not belong to the active set enters the report range, if the number of the active sets does not reach the upper limit, the mobile terminal sends a 1A event to the network side; if the number of the active set reaches the upper limit, the mobile terminal will continue to wait until the pilot frequency leaves the reporting range, or report the 1A event until the pilot frequency exits from the active set.
Under normal conditions, after reporting the 1A event to the network, the mobile terminal receives an active set update message sent by the network, and then completes the operation of adding the pilot frequency into the active set. However, under some abnormal conditions, after the mobile terminal reports the 1A event to the network, the network cannot issue the active set update message in time, so that the mobile terminal always communicates through a cell with poor signal quality; when the mobile terminal is far from the cell, the signal quality becomes worse and worse, but no other pilot frequency is available in the active set, so that the mobile terminal cannot be switched to the cell with good signal until an RLF (Radio Link Failure) event occurs, and the call service is reestablished through a cell update flow, because the reestablishment process usually needs several seconds, a short silent phenomenon occurs in voice communication.
In order to solve the problem that the call of the mobile terminal is silent due to the fact that the network reports the 1A event and does not respond in the call process, an effective solution is not provided at present.

Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is apparent that the described embodiments are some, but not all embodiments of the present invention. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
Due to the reason of the mobile terminal itself, or the reason of network side equipment, and the reason of environment, it may happen that the mobile terminal reports the 1A event but cannot get the network response, and then the current active set of the mobile terminal cannot be updated normally, and the call quality cannot be guaranteed; the technology can be applied to a WCDMA network, and the mobile terminal can be a mobile phone, a smart watch and other devices supporting WCMDA voice communication; the techniques may be implemented in associated software or hardware, as described by way of example below.
Example one
Referring to a flowchart of a first active set updating method shown in fig. 1, the method is applied to a mobile terminal, and the method includes the following steps:
step S102, when the target pilot frequency is measured to meet the condition of adding into the active set, reporting a 1A event to a network;
the condition for adding into the active set may also be referred to as a trigger condition for reporting a 1A event; for example: (1) the signal quality of the target pilot frequency detected by the mobile terminal is within a preset threshold range; specifically, the mobile terminal obtains the signal quality of the current target pilot frequency through various measurement events, and the signal quality can be measured through parameters such as signal strength, signal error rate and the like; (2) the target pilot frequency is not in the current active set; when the target pilot frequency is in the active set, the update of the active set is carried out without triggering the reporting 1A event. In addition, the number of the pilot frequency in the current active set should be smaller than the set upper limit value, and the target pilot frequency can be added into the active set; the upper limit value may be set manually, and in general, the upper limit value may be set to 5.
And step S104, when the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in the mode of 1A event, adding the target pilot frequency into the active set in a cell updating mode.
The above failure to add the target pilot to the active set in the 1A event may be caused by various reasons, for example, an abnormality occurs in a signal transmitting unit of the 1A event on the mobile terminal, or the environment of mobile communication is poor, there is much interference, or the network side cannot identify the 1A event, cannot respond to the 1A event, and so on.
When the mobile terminal is in a call, the target pilot cannot be added into the active set in the 1A event manner, which may cause the mobile terminal to always talk over the pilot with poor signal quality until an RLF event occurs, resulting in a temporary silence of the call. When the mobile terminal is not in a call, the target pilot frequency cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event mode, and a general user does not know that the active set is updated as soon as possible to ensure that the requirement on the quality of the communication signal is not urgent, the target pilot frequency may be added to the active set in the cell update mode in the embodiment, or the target pilot frequency may be continuously added to the active set in the 1A event mode, and the target pilot frequency is preferably added to the active set in the cell update mode in the embodiment of the present invention.
Generally, when a call Link of a User is abnormal, for example, the above RLF event occurs, an unrecoverable error occurs in an RLC (Radio Link Control, Radio Link layer Control protocol), and the like, a UE (User Equipment) actively initiates cell update by sending uplink data; in this embodiment, the UE uses a mobile terminal as an example, and after initiating cell update, the UE obtains cell update confirmation information through multiple communications with the network side, and then sends a signal measurement event, selects a cell according to a measurement value, and sends the selected cell to the network side for confirmation.
In the active set updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention, when a mobile terminal measures that a target pilot frequency meets the condition of adding an active set, a 1A event is reported to a network; if the target pilot cannot be added to the active set by means of the 1A event, the target pilot is added to the active set in a cell update manner. By the method, the target pilot frequency can be added to the active set in advance before the communication link is interrupted, the problem of soundless voice call caused by cell updating after the communication link is interrupted is avoided, the call quality and the signal stability of the voice call are improved, and the performance and the user experience of the mobile terminal are improved.
Meanwhile, in the related art, if the network side does not respond to the reporting 1A event, the mobile terminal will usually continue to report the 1A event until the RLF event occurs, and then add the target pilot to the active set in a cell update manner. The blind continuous operation not only wastes the electric quantity of the mobile terminal, but also increases the expense of network communication; through the method of the embodiment of the invention, the target pilot frequency can be quickly added to the active set in a cell updating mode, thereby not only ensuring the quality of subsequent conversation, but also reducing the power consumption of the mobile terminal and saving the communication resources of the system.
Example two
Based on the active set updating method provided in the first embodiment, referring to a flowchart of a second active set updating method shown in fig. 2, the method is applied to a mobile terminal, and the method includes the following steps:
step S202, the mobile terminal measures that the target pilot frequency meets the condition of adding into an active set;
for example, when a user holds a mobile terminal in a mobile state, the geographic location of the mobile terminal is constantly changing; when the mobile terminal is closer to the base station transmitting the target pilot frequency, the signal quality of the target pilot frequency is better, and when the signal quality of the target pilot frequency enters the threshold range and the pilot frequency signal is not in the active set at present, the target pilot frequency meets the condition of joining the active set.
Step S204, judging whether the number of the pilot frequency in the active set is less than a set upper limit value; if yes, go to step S206; if not, executing step S208;
step S206, reporting the 1A event to the network; executing step S210;
step S208, waiting until the signal quality of the target pilot frequency does not meet the condition of adding into the active set, or the active set has pilot frequencies which exit from the active set due to poor signal quality; finishing;
if the number of the pilot frequency in the active set is not less than the set upper limit value, the 1A event cannot be reported, and the mobile terminal is in waiting; because the mobile terminal is still in a moving state, when the mobile terminal is farther and farther from a base station transmitting the target pilot frequency, the signal quality of the target pilot frequency is worse and worse, and when the signal quality of the target pilot frequency cannot enter a threshold range, the signal quality of the target pilot frequency does not meet the condition of joining the active set; similarly, when the mobile terminal is farther and farther from the base station transmitting a certain pilot X in the active set, the signal quality of the pilot X is worse and worse, and when the signal quality of the pilot X cannot enter the threshold range, it indicates that the signal quality of the pilot X does not meet the condition for joining the active set, and the pilot X exits the active set.
Step S210, judging whether a response of the network to the 1A event is received; if yes, go to step S212; if not, go to step S214;
in the step S210, a short time period may be set, and when the mobile terminal reports the 1A event to the network, that is, starts timing, and still does not receive a response from the network to the 1A event after the time period is reached, it is determined that the mobile terminal does not receive the response from the network to the 1A event.
Step S212, receiving the update confirmation information of the active set issued by the network, updating the active set, and adding the target pilot frequency into the active set; finishing;
step S214, continuing to report the 1A event to the network;
step S216, judging whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode in a time statistical mode or a frequency statistical mode; if yes, go to step S218; if not, executing step S212;
in actual implementation, corresponding thresholds including a time threshold and a frequency threshold can be preset, and then time statistics or frequency statistics is performed; whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode can be judged only through a time statistical mode or only through a time statistical mode; time statistics and frequency statistics can also be performed simultaneously, based on the statistical result that the threshold is reached first, for example, if the statistical result is that the time threshold is reached first, it is determined that the target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event manner after the time threshold is reached.
Step S218, add the target pilot to the active set in a cell update manner.
The active set updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention judges and determines whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode or not in a time statistical mode or a frequency statistical mode, so that the target pilot frequency can be added into the active set in advance before a communication link is interrupted by the mobile terminal, the problem of silent voice call caused by initiating cell updating after the communication link is interrupted is avoided, the call quality and the signal stability of the voice call are improved, and the performance and the user experience of the mobile terminal are improved.
EXAMPLE III
Based on the active set updating method provided in the second embodiment, refer to a flowchart of a third active set updating method shown in fig. 3, which only uses a statistical manner to determine whether a target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the form of a 1A event for explanation; the method is applied to the mobile terminal and comprises the following steps:
step S302, the mobile terminal measures that the target pilot frequency meets the condition of adding into an active set;
step S304, judging whether the number of the pilot frequency in the active set is less than a set upper limit value; if yes, go to step S306; if not, go to step S308;
step S306, reporting the 1A event to the network;
step S308, waiting until the signal quality of the target pilot frequency does not meet the condition of adding into the active set, or the active set has pilot frequencies which exit from the active set due to poor signal quality; finishing;
step S310, judging whether a response of the network to the 1A event is received; if yes, go to step S312; if not, go to step S314;
step S312, receiving the activation set update confirmation information issued by the network, updating the activation set, and adding the target pilot frequency into the activation set; finishing;
step S314, continuing to report the 1A event to the network;
step S316, counting whether the number of times of reporting the 1A event reaches a preset number threshold; if yes, go to step S318; if not, go to step S314;
in practical implementation, the number threshold may be set to an appropriate value according to a specific implementation environment, for example, in a current mobile terminal or communication environment, after 1A events are continuously reported to the network for 10 times, an RLF event may occur; in order to ensure the call quality, the number threshold may be set to be less than 10 times, for example, 5 times, so as to initiate cell update in advance before the RLF event occurs.
Step S318, determining that the target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event manner, and adding the target pilot to the active set in the cell update manner.
The active set updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention judges and determines whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode in a frequency statistical mode, so that the target pilot frequency can be added into the active set in advance before a communication link is interrupted by the mobile terminal, the problem of voice call silence caused by initiating cell updating after the communication link is interrupted is avoided, the call quality and the signal stability of the voice call are improved, and the performance and the user experience of the mobile terminal are improved.
Example four
Based on the active set updating method provided in the second embodiment, refer to a flowchart of a fourth active set updating method shown in fig. 4, which only uses a time statistic manner to determine whether a target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the manner of a 1A event for explanation; the method is applied to the mobile terminal and comprises the following steps:
step S402, the mobile terminal measures that the target pilot frequency meets the condition of joining the active set;
step S404, judging whether the number of the pilot frequency in the active set is less than a set upper limit value; if yes, go to step S406; if not, go to step S408;
step S406, reporting the 1A event to a network;
step S408, waiting until the signal quality of the target pilot frequency does not meet the condition of adding into the active set, or the active set has pilot frequencies which exit from the active set due to poor signal quality; finishing;
step S410, judging whether a response of the network to the 1A event is received; if yes, go to step S412; if not, go to step S414;
step S412, receiving the activation set update confirmation information issued by the network, updating the activation set, and adding the target pilot frequency into the activation set; finishing;
step S414, continuing to report the 1A event to the network;
step S416, counting whether the duration of the reported 1A event reaches a preset time threshold or not; if yes, go to step S418; if not, go to step S414;
in practical implementation, the time threshold may be set to an appropriate value according to a specific implementation environment, for example, in a current mobile terminal or communication environment, after continuously reporting a 1A event to a network for 50ms, an RLF event may occur; in order to ensure the call quality, the time threshold may be set to be less than 50ms, for example, 30ms, so as to initiate cell update in advance before the RLF event occurs.
Step S418 determines that the target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event, and adds the target pilot to the active set in the cell update manner.
The active set updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention judges and determines whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode in a time statistics mode, so that the target pilot frequency can be added into the active set in advance before a communication link is interrupted by the mobile terminal, the problem of voice call silence caused by initiating cell updating after the communication link is interrupted is avoided, the call quality and the signal stability of the voice call are improved, and the performance and the user experience of the mobile terminal are improved.
EXAMPLE five
Corresponding to the second to fourth embodiments, see the flowchart of the fifth active set updating method shown in fig. 5, which is described by taking an example of simultaneously performing a time statistics manner and a time statistics manner to determine whether a target pilot cannot be added to an active set in a 1A event manner; the method is applied to the mobile terminal and comprises the following steps:
step S502, the mobile terminal measures that the target pilot frequency meets the condition of adding into an active set;
step S504, judge whether the quantity of pilot frequency in the activation set is smaller than the upper limit value presumed; if yes, go to step S506; if not, go to step S508;
step S506, reporting the 1A event to a network;
step S508, wait until the signal quality of the target pilot frequency does not meet the above-mentioned condition of joining the active set, or, there are pilot frequencies that exit the active set because of the signal quality is poor in the active set; finishing;
step S510, judging whether a response of the network to the 1A event is received; if yes, go to step S512; if not, go to step S514;
step S512, receiving the update confirmation information of the active set issued by the network, updating the active set, and adding the target pilot frequency into the active set; finishing;
step S514, judging whether the mobile terminal is in a call; if yes, go to step S516; if not, go to step S506;
step S516, continuing to report the 1A event to the network;
step S518, counting whether the duration of the reported 1A event reaches a preset time threshold or not, or counting whether the number of times of reporting the 1A event reaches a preset number threshold or not, and if so, executing step S520; if not, go to step S512;
in step S518, the time statistics and the number statistics are performed simultaneously, and when one of the duration and the number of the reported 1A events reaches a preset threshold, it is determined that the target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event manner. In practical implementation, a ping-pong timer control module can be arranged in the mobile terminal, and the module can be used for setting a time threshold value N and a time threshold value T of a 1A event; when the problem that the network does not respond to the 1A event occurs in the call, the mobile terminal counts that the duration of the reported 1A event reaches a preset time threshold T and the number of times of the reported 1A event reaches a preset number threshold N, and when one of the conditions meets the requirement, the mobile terminal triggers a cell updating process to be initiated in advance so as to switch to a proper cell as soon as possible and ensure the call quality.
Step S520, determining that the target pilot cannot be added to the active set in the 1A event, and adding the target pilot to the active set in the cell update manner.
In order to save data communication overhead and data processing capacity of the mobile terminal and ensure stable communication quality, when the mobile terminal is in a communication, the duration and the times of reporting the 1A event are counted so that the mobile terminal adds the target pilot frequency to an active set in advance before a communication link is interrupted; when the mobile terminal is in a call, the active set does not need to be updated as soon as possible to ensure the quality of communication signals, so that the target pilot frequency can be continuously added into the active set in a 1A event mode; of course, the target pilot may also be added to the active set in a cell update manner.
The active set updating method provided by the embodiment of the invention can simultaneously carry out time statistics and frequency statistics to judge and determine whether the target pilot frequency cannot be added into the active set in a 1A event mode, so that the mobile terminal can more quickly and accurately determine whether the target pilot frequency can be added into the active set, the problem of silent voice call caused by initiating cell update after a communication link is interrupted is avoided, the call quality and the signal stability of the voice call are improved, and the performance and the user experience of the mobile terminal are improved.
In addition, in the embodiment, when the mobile terminal is in a call, the duration and the number of times of reporting the 1A event are counted, and the mode can save data communication overhead and data processing capacity of the mobile terminal on the premise of ensuring the stability of call quality.
