The mobile terminal 100 as shown in fig. 1 may be configured to operate with communication systems such as wired and wireless communication systems and satellite-based communication systems that transmit data via frames or packets.
A communication system in which a mobile terminal according to the present invention is operable will now be described with reference to fig. 2.
Such communication systems may use different air interfaces and/or physical layers. For example, the air interface used by the communication system includes, for example, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) (in particular, Long Term Evolution (LTE)), global system for mobile communications (GSM), and the like. By way of non-limiting example, the following description relates to a CDMA communication system, but such teachings are equally applicable to other types of systems.
Referring to fig. 2, the CDMA wireless communication system may include a plurality of mobile terminals 100, a plurality of Base Stations (BSs) 270, Base Station Controllers (BSCs) 275, and a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) 280. The MSC280 is configured to interface with a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) 290. The MSC280 is also configured to interface with a BSC275, which may be coupled to the base station 270 via a backhaul. The backhaul may be constructed according to any of several known interfaces including, for example, E1/T1, ATM, IP, PPP, frame Relay, HDSL, ADSL, or xDSL. It will be understood that a system as shown in fig. 2 may include multiple BSCs 275.
Each BS270 may serve one or more sectors (or regions), each sector covered by a multi-directional antenna or an antenna pointing in a particular direction being radially distant from the BS 270. Alternatively, each partition may be covered by two or more antennas for diversity reception. Each BS270 may be configured to support multiple frequency allocations, with each frequency allocation having a particular frequency spectrum (e.g., 1.25MHz, 5MHz, etc.).
The intersection of partitions with frequency allocations may be referred to as a CDMA channel. The BS270 may also be referred to as a Base Transceiver Subsystem (BTS) or other equivalent terminology. In such a case, the term "base station" may be used to generically refer to a single BSC275 and at least one BS 270. The base stations may also be referred to as "cells". Alternatively, each sector of a particular BS270 may be referred to as a plurality of cell sites.
As shown in fig. 2, a Broadcast Transmitter (BT)295 transmits a broadcast signal to the mobile terminal 100 operating within the system. A broadcast receiving module 111 as shown in fig. 1 is provided at the mobile terminal 100 to receive a broadcast signal transmitted by the BT 295. In fig. 2, several Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites 300 are shown. The satellite 300 assists in locating at least one of the plurality of mobile terminals 100.
In fig. 2, a plurality of satellites 300 are depicted, but it is understood that useful positioning information may be obtained with any number of satellites. The GPS module 115 as shown in fig. 1 is generally configured to cooperate with satellites 300 to obtain desired positioning information. Other techniques that can track the location of the mobile terminal may be used instead of or in addition to GPS tracking techniques. In addition, at least one GPS satellite 300 may selectively or additionally process satellite DMB transmission.
As a typical operation of the wireless communication system, the BS270 receives reverse link signals from various mobile terminals 100. The mobile terminal 100 is generally engaged in conversations, messaging, and other types of communications. Each reverse link signal received by a particular base station 270 is processed within the particular BS 270. The obtained data is forwarded to the associated BSC 275. The BSC provides call resource allocation and mobility management functions including coordination of soft handoff procedures between BSs 270. The BSCs 275 also route the received data to the MSC280, which provides additional routing services for interfacing with the PSTN 290. Similarly, the PSTN290 interfaces with the MSC280, the MSC interfaces with the BSCs 275, and the BSCs 275 accordingly control the BS270 to transmit forward link signals to the mobile terminal 100.
Based on the above mobile terminal hardware structure and communication system, the present invention provides various embodiments of the method.
Example one
Referring to fig. 3, which illustrates that an embodiment of the present invention provides a content display method applied to a terminal having a direction sensor, the method may include:
s301, the terminal detects the relative direction between the terminal and the user and obtains the relative direction information between the terminal and the user.
Referring to fig. 4, step S301 specifically includes steps S3011 and S3012:
s3011, the terminal determines the placing state of the terminal.
It is understood that the terminal acquires its own placed state using a sensor such as a direction sensor. The terminal can be detected to be in the states of right vertical, reverse vertical, left horizontal, right horizontal, upward screen, downward screen and the like by using the direction sensor. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 5, the top, bottom and side frames of the terminal display are shown. The state that the terminal was placed can be for placing different orientations when keeping flat on the desktop, and the orientation that the terminal was placed can be confirmed according to the orientation that the top from the terminal display screen was located to the bottom, also can be for keeping the state of placing of certain inclination through fixing device such as support.
S3012, the terminal detects the relative direction with the user according to the placing state of the terminal.
It should be noted that, in different placement states, the direction of the screen display content that can be seen by the user is not changed with the change of the relative orientation between the user and the terminal. The terminal detects a relative orientation between itself and the user according to its own placement state in order to determine the relative orientation between the display screen of the terminal and the user.
For example, if the terminal is placed flat on a desktop, and the user is in a direction vertical to the top end of the display screen of the terminal and the bottom end of the display screen, the relative position between the user and the terminal is directly opposite to the display screen. If the user is in any other direction where the side frame of the display screen is located, the relative orientation between the user and the terminal is the orientation which is relatively inclined to the terminal.
Referring to fig. 6, step S3012 specifically includes steps S30121 and S30122:
s30121, the terminal determines the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen according to the placement state of the terminal.
It is understood that the terminal can determine the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen thereof according to the placement state of the terminal itself. The display direction indicates relative direction information of the content displayed in the display screen of the terminal and the environment in which the terminal is located.
For example, if the terminal is placed vertically to the desktop and the content displayed on the terminal is displayed along the direction from the top end of the terminal to the bottom end of the terminal, the terminal may determine the display direction of the content displayed on the current display screen.
S30122, the terminal determines the relative position of the user and the display direction of the display content according to a preset detection strategy.
The preset detection strategy may be to detect the orientation by using a direction sensor, or may be any other method that can detect the orientation of the user relative to the display direction of the display content. For example, when the user is looking at the content displayed on the display screen, the front camera can be used for face detection, and the relative orientation of the user and the display direction of the display content can be determined by determining the parameter value such as the angle difference between the face of the user and the display direction of the display content on the display screen of the terminal through the face detection.
For example, referring to fig. 7, when the terminal is placed upside down with respect to the user and the content displayed in the current display screen is displayed from the top of the terminal display screen to the bottom of the terminal display screen, the display direction of the content displayed in the terminal display screen may be determined to be opposite to the relative position of the user.
S302, the terminal adjusts the display state of the content displayed in the display screen according to the relative direction information between the terminal and the user.
Referring to fig. 8, step S302 specifically includes steps S3021 to S3023:
and S3021, the terminal judges whether the display direction of the content displayed on the display screen is consistent with the relative direction between the terminal and the user.
It can be understood that the terminal can judge the relative orientation between the display direction of the displayed content and the user through the display direction of the displayed content in the display screen. For example, when the display content is displayed in a vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen, and the user views the display content in any side frame of the terminal, it may be determined that the display direction of the display content in the display screen is inconsistent with the relative orientation between the user.
Referring to fig. 9, step S3021 specifically includes steps S30211 to S30213:
s30211, the terminal compares the display direction of the content displayed on the display screen with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user.
It should be noted that, to determine whether the display direction of the content displayed on the display screen of the terminal is consistent with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user, the terminal needs to determine the display direction of the content displayed on the display screen of the terminal and the orientation of the user relative to the terminal, and then compare the display direction of the content displayed on the display screen with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user.
S30212, when the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are in the same direction, the terminal determines that the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are consistent.
It is to be understood that when the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen of the terminal and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are in the same direction, the terminal may determine that the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen thereof is in one orientation with the user. For example, when the display content is displayed in a vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen, and the user is located in the vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen of the terminal, the terminal can determine that the display direction of the display content displayed in the display screen of the terminal is consistent with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user.
S30213, when the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are in different directions, the terminal determines that the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are inconsistent.
It is to be understood that when the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen of the terminal and the relative orientation between the terminal and the user are in different directions, the terminal may determine that the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen thereof is in a different orientation from the user. For example, when the display content is displayed in a vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen, and the user is located at the side frame of the display screen, the terminal may determine that the display direction of the display content displayed in the display screen is inconsistent with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user.
And S3022, when the terminal determines that the display direction of the displayed content in the display screen is consistent with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user, keeping the display state of the displayed content unchanged.
It can be understood that if the terminal determines that the display direction of the display content is consistent with the orientation of the user relative to the terminal, the terminal continues to keep the original display direction unchanged. Illustratively, when the display content is displayed in a vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen, and the user views the display content in the vertical direction from the top to the bottom of the display screen of the terminal, the terminal keeps the display direction of the display content unchanged. Referring to fig. 10(a), the display direction of the display contents in the display screen is displayed in the direction indicated by the arrow, and when the user is in the same vertical direction as the display direction of the display contents, the terminal keeps the display state of the display contents unchanged.
And S3023, when the terminal determines that the display direction of the content displayed in the display screen is inconsistent with the relative orientation between the terminal and the user, adjusting the display state of the content displayed in the display screen according to the relative orientation between the terminal and the user.
It can be understood that, if the terminal determines that the display direction of the display content is inconsistent with the orientation of the user relative to the terminal, the terminal will not keep the original display direction, and adjust the display content according to the relative orientation with the user so that the display direction of the display content is the orientation toward the user. Referring to fig. 10(b), when the terminal is tilted, the display direction of the display content on the display screen is still displayed according to the direction indicated by the arrow, and the display direction of the display content is tilted with respect to the user. Referring to fig. 10(c), the user maintains the vertical state, and the terminal adjusts the display state of the display content to a vertical direction for display. By adjusting the display state, the user can check the display content directly facing the user without manually adjusting the position of the terminal.
According to the content display method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the terminal acquires the relative orientation information between the terminal and the user by detecting the relative orientation between the terminal and the user, and then the terminal adjusts the direction of the content displayed in the display screen according to the relative orientation information between the terminal and the user, so that the direction of the content displayed in the display screen is over against the user, and the automatic adjustment of the display direction of the content displayed by the terminal is realized.
