中医认为，肺为气之主，肾为气之根。当哮喘病发作时，肺道不能主气，肾虚不能纳气，则气逆于上，而发于喘急。脾为生化之源，脾虚生痰，痰阻气道，故见喘咳，气短。因此，哮喘病是肾、肺、脾，三虚之症。。
根据中医理论，针对哮喘的发病机理，以养阴清肺、化虚通窍为治则，进行辩证配伍组方，以达到标本兼治的目的。

一、一般性资料：本发明中药组合物应用于临床观察病例66例，其中男30例，女36例，年龄5～75岁。
二、诊断标准：
1、发作前常有喷嚏、咳嗽等先兆症状，或夜间突然发作；发作时喉间哮鸣，呼吸困难，咯痰不爽，甚则不能平卧，烦躁不安等；
2、常因气候转变、受凉，或接触某些过敏物质等因素诱发；
3、可有婴儿期湿疹史，或家族过敏史；
4、心肺听诊：两肺满布哮鸣音，呼气延长，或闻及湿罗音，心率增快；
5、支气管哮喘，血白细胞总数正常，嗜酸性粒细胞可增高，可疑变应原皮肤试验常呈阳性；伴肺部感染时，血白细胞总数及中性粒细胞可增高。
三、用法用量：临床应用时，一天一剂，水煎两遍取汁约400ml，分早、晚两次温热服用，五天为一疗程。
四、疗效标准：
1、治愈：哮喘平息，听诊两肺哮鸣音消失；
2、好转：哮喘减轻，听诊偶闻哮鸣音；
3、未愈：哮喘发作症状无改善。
五、治疗效果：该临床观察病例中，服药5-12个疗程，治愈45例，好转15例，未愈6例。治疗期间未发生毒副作用。
六、典型病例：
病例1：李某，男，28岁。自述2周前出现咽痛，咳嗽，伴有发热，口服感冒药后发热症状明显改善，但咳嗽不见好转。3天前夜间突然出现呼吸困难，喉间哮鸣音，烦躁不安。服用本发明的中药组合物制备的药剂4个疗程后，自觉哮喘好转，呼吸顺畅；继续服用3个疗程，症状消失，治愈。
病例2：孙某，女，50岁。自述患有多年哮喘病，发作时呼吸困难，胸闷气短，不能平卧。期间服用过很多西药治疗哮喘，病情总是反复发作。服用本发明的中药组合物制备的药剂5个疗程，发作频率明显降低，且发作时各症状明显好转；续服5个疗程后，各症状消失，治愈。回访未见复发。

1. 一种治疗哮喘的中药组合物，其特征在于：其中药原料及重量份配比为：大枣10-30份，枇杷叶10-20份，冬凌草10-20份，红花5-15份，穿心莲10-20份，虎杖10-20份，紫菀10-20份，陈皮5-15份，侧柏叶10-20份，胆南星10-20份，肉桂5-15份，百合10-20份，南沙参10-20份，麦冬10-20份，麻黄5-15份，蒲公英10-20份，代赭石10-20份，老鹳草5-15份，山慈菇10-20份，旋覆花10-20份，丹参10-20份，甘草5-15份。
2. 根据权利要求1所述的一种治疗哮喘的中药组合物，其特征在于：其中药原料及重量份配比为：大枣20份，枇杷叶15份，冬凌草15份，红花10份，穿心莲15份，虎杖15份，紫菀15份，陈皮10份，侧柏叶15份，胆南星15份，肉桂10份，百合15份，南沙参15份，麦冬15份，麻黄10份，蒲公英15份，代赭石15份，老鹳草10份，山慈菇15份，旋覆花15份，丹参15份，甘草10份。
