Fig. 1 is a schematic flow chart of an implementation of an automatic power-off method for a wireless router according to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step 101, initiating communication with a terminal and requesting position information of the terminal;
specifically, the wireless router may initiate communication with the terminal N times at a preset time (for example, after 10 am); or periodically (for example, every 1 hour) initiating communication with the terminal for N times; or periodically initiating communication with the terminal for N times within a preset time, wherein N is a positive integer; the specific values of the preset time, the communication initiation period and the communication initiation times N may be preset in a configuration file of the wireless router, or may be set by a user of the wireless router as required. And in the communication initiated to the terminal by the wireless router, requesting the terminal to return the position information of the terminal.
In one embodiment, the wireless router may initiate communication by sending a short message to the terminal, and request the terminal to return location information of the terminal in the short message.
102, cutting off the power supply of the terminal according to the response condition of the terminal;
there are two specific situations that require the wireless router to cut off its power supply:
in one case, when the wireless router does not receive the response of the terminal, the power supply of the wireless router is cut off; here, the fact that the response of the terminal is not received means that the wireless router does not receive the response of the terminal after initiating communication to the terminal for N times.
In one case, the wireless router receives a response of the terminal, that is, receives the position information returned by the terminal, and the wireless router judges that the position of the terminal is out of the coverage of the wireless router according to the position information responded by the terminal, and then cuts off the power supply of the wireless router.
The specific method for judging that the position of the terminal is out of the coverage range of the wireless router is as follows:
in the embodiment of the present invention, after the terminal receives the short message of the wireless router requesting the location information in step 101, the terminal sends the location information of the base station with the best nearby signal to the wireless router as its own location information, so that the location information that the wireless router receives the terminal response is substantially the location information of the base station with the best nearby signal;
further, the wireless router compares the received position information with the position information of the base station registered by the wireless router, and if the received position information is inconsistent with the position information of the base station registered by the wireless router, the position of the terminal can be judged to be out of the coverage range of the wireless router; otherwise, that is, the location information received by the wireless router is consistent with the location information of the base station registered by the wireless router, the location of the terminal is determined to be within the coverage of the wireless router, and in this case, the wireless router does not cut off the power supply of the wireless router.
By using the automatic power-off method of the wireless router provided by the embodiment, the wireless router requests the position information of the terminal by actively initiating communication with the terminal, so that whether the wireless router needs to be automatically powered off or not can be judged according to the response condition of the terminal, the wireless router is prevented from being in a working state for a long time as much as possible, the service life of the wireless router is prolonged, and electric energy is saved.
