eNB 106A还可以包括容量和覆盖范围优化(CCO)模块110A,CCO模块110A通常被配置为对相关联的小区的容量和/或覆盖范围进行优化。例如,CCO模块110A通常可以被配置为监测一段时间内的小区性能。CCO模块110A可以收集和分析KPI数据以确定诸如覆盖漏洞(hole)、弱覆盖等之类的某些问题是否在小区中发生。当问题被检测到时,CCO模块110A可以例如通过改变小区的一个或多个参数(可以包括例如下行链路传输功率、天线倾角、天线方位角等)来优化相关联小区的容量和覆盖范围。由于小区的各种内在的或外在的特性(可能不利地影响小区区域内的UE和/或小区的操作),容量和覆盖范围可能需要被优化。内在的和/或外在的特性可以包括例如覆盖漏洞,其中覆盖漏洞是导频信号强度低于UE接入网络所需的阈值的区域、或服务和邻近小区这二者的SINR都低于维持基本服务所需的水平的区域。覆盖漏洞通常由物理障碍(例如,新建筑物、山丘)引起、或由不适合的天线参数引起、或仅由不适当的RF规划引起。覆盖漏洞中的UE可能遭受掉话和/或无线电链路故障。覆盖漏洞的典型现象是HO故障频繁发生并且不能通过HO(切换)参数优化来优化、或者是掉话频繁发生并且不能通过RRC(无线电资源控制)重新建立来解救。
内在的和/或外在的特性还可以包括例如弱覆盖,当服务小区的导频信号强度或SNR(或SINR)低于维持计划的性能需求(例如,小区边缘比特率)所需的水平时弱覆盖发生。另一示例是由拥挤的小区之间的干扰所引起的导频污染。例如,在不同小区的覆盖范围具有显著的重叠的区域中,干扰水平通常是高的,功率水平通常是高的,并且因此能量消耗是高的并且小区性能可能是低的。通常在这种情况下UE可能经历到不止一个小区的高SNR和高干扰水平。另一示例是过度(overshoot)覆盖,当小区的覆盖范围达到远远超出所计划的覆盖范围(例如,作为可能不是直接的邻居的另一小区的内部中的覆盖范围的“岛”)时过度覆盖发生。过度的原因可能是建筑物中的反射或跨开放水域、湖等。该区域中的UE可能遭受掉话或高干扰。另一示例是下行链路(DL)和上行链路(UL)信道覆盖范围不匹配,例如,当DL信道覆盖范围大于UL信道覆盖范围时。当UE移动进入不匹配区域时,它可能遭受UL问题。
虽然这些问题在典型的无线网络中可以被容忍到一定水平,但是这些问题可能不利地影响小区操作,尤其是当与诸如征兆的频率、征兆的持续时间、或受影响的人口之类的其它因素结合时。因此,CCO模块110A被配置为监测与小区的操作相关联的所选择的变量(包括例如UE测量、性能测量、警报、和/或诸如跟踪数据之类的其它监测信息)。UE测量通常在UE测量报告内被发送并且它们可以指示容量和覆盖范围问题。源eNB和/或目标eNB处所收集的容量和覆盖范围相关的性能测量可以被用于检测在小区水平上的容量和覆盖范围相关的问题。例如,最小化驱动测试(MDT)或HO相关的性能测量还可以被用于检测在小区水平上的容量和覆盖范围相关的问题。警报、诸如跟踪数据之类的其它监测信息可以被关联以得到对容量和覆盖范围问题的指示。
CCO、COC和ESM模块可以具有某些共同操作(功能)。例如,响应于各种原因,它们可能需要改变小区的覆盖范围。例如,当CCO模块和COC模块同时尝试改变覆盖范围(这可能引起不稳定的小区行为(例如,CCO模块可能在一个方向改变天线倾角,而COC模块可能在另一方向改变天线倾角))时,冲突可能发生。

在操作中,CCO、COC和/或ESM模块可以在改变或要求一个或多个小区配置参数之前查询冲突检测模块202以进行许可。冲突检测模块202可以应用一个或多个规则来确定例如在小区或邻近小区上冲突是否可能在特定功能(操作)和其它SON功能之间出现。为了做出该确定,冲突检测模块202可以从eNB接收与SON功能有关的消息。这样的信息可以包括例如关键性能指标(KPI)(指示给定的SON功能是否满足改善网络性能的所定义的目标)、配置参数中的不可接受的振荡等。
为了确定两个或多个SON功能之间的潜在冲突,冲突检测模块202可以确定例如SON功能是否在修改配置参数(包括与供应商、版本等相关的信息)、旨在被改变的配置参数和/或它们的现有的和所提议的新的值、SON功能的持续时间和/或配置参数应该多久不被干扰(“影响时间”)、SON功能的当前状态、所提议的SON功能可能影响的一个或多个小区目标、特定管理对象的状态(例如,cCOStatus、COCStatus、ESMStatus等)等。冲突检测模块202还可以确定参数变化对其它对象可能具有的可能的影响(“影响区域”)、参数变化对关键性能指标的可能的影响、SON功能的优先级(可以被用于确定来自不同的SON功能的请求的执行顺序)等。如果潜在的或现有的冲突被检测到,则冲突检测模块202被配置为给冲突解决模块204发信号以解决冲突。
冲突解决模块204被配置为通过应用解决规则来解决SON功能之间的冲突(所提议的或现有的),以启用、禁用和/或暂停某些SON功能和/或停止、暂停和/或修改某些SON动作。解决模块204通常被配置为解决SON功能之间的冲突,从而使得小区覆盖范围和/或容量被优化,例如,从而使得每个小区内的最大数量的UE获得最大覆盖范围,并且小区行为稳定性被维持。对所选择的SON功能的修改可以包括例如针对相同的参数已经通过另一SON功能被改变后的特定时间段,防止经由一个或多个SON功能的参数变化。在一些实施例中,SON协调模块108可以被配置为从与冲突解决模块204所采取的动作相关的一个或多个eNB接收信息,以解决当前的或潜在的冲突,例如确定所选择的SON功能是否是成功的或不成功的等。
定义的解决规则可以包括例如先入先出(FIFO)规则协调(其中,来自一个模块的操作请求优先于其它的、之后的操作请求)、以CCO为中心的规则协调(其中,由CCO模块做出的操作请求通常优先于来自ESM和/或COC模块的操作请求)、预置优先级规则(其中,某些功能被给予比其它功能更高的优先级)等。当然,这些仅是可以被使用的冲突解决规则的类型的示例,并且在其它实施例中,可以采用不同的规则以优化例如一个或多个给定小区的容量和/或覆盖范围。下面提供了解决规则的示例。
图3示出了根据本公开的各种实施例的示例小区图300。小区图300包括多个小区(例如,小区1、小区2、小区3、小区4等),每个小区可以至少部分地被相应的eNB覆盖。继续参照图1和图2,将参照用于解决两个或多个SON功能之间的冲突的解决规则的数个下面的示例来描述小区图300。
示例1
在一个示例中,冲突可能在ESM模块的和COC模块的操作之间出现。使用小区1作为示例,小区1的ESM模块可以确定小区1应该进入节能状态,因此减少或关闭小区1的覆盖范围。一个或多个邻近小区(例如,小区1周围的一个或多个小区)具有覆盖小区1的能力,但是邻近小区中的一个检测到这样的邻近小区具有小区中断。邻近小区的COC模块可以请求小区1提供补偿。在该情境中,如果小区1已经处于节能状态,则解决规则可以禁止使小区1处于节能状态,但是如果小区1未进入节能状态,则小区1的能量状态可以被延迟直到经历小区的候选小区的COC从小区中断恢复并且能够覆盖小区1。
示例2
在该示例中,CCO模块、COC模块和ESM模块可能在相同时间段期间要求对一个或多个小区的覆盖范围和/或容量的变化,这可能引起下面的问题:
小区1检测到小区1的小区中断,小区1的COC模块可以通过对一个或多个补偿候选小区(邻近小区)的RF配置(例如,小区2和小区3的TX功率、天线倾角和天线方位角)进行重新配置来请求补偿小区1的中断。在中断小区1被补偿之前,小区2的CCO模块可以检测到小区2的覆盖范围相关的KPI(例如,RRC连接建立的成功率、小区吞吐量等)的降低。小区2的CCO模块可以确定在该KPI降低区域中存在覆盖问题。同时,小区2的ESM模块在小区2上操作以补偿将进入节能状态的它的邻近小区(小区4)的覆盖范围。
从中断小区1被检测到时所处的时间点开始到小区1已经通过小区2和小区3被补偿为止,在该时间段期间,如果在COC模块、CCO模块和ESM模块的功能和操作之间没有协调,则为了COC、CCO或ESM的目的,将相应地具有用于调整小区2的TX功率、天线倾角和天线方位角的可能不同的设置。因此,来自COC、ESM的调整和来自CCO的优化可能在(一个或多个)共同受影响的中断补偿候选小区(上面示例中的小区2)中冲突。因此,SON协调模块108可以协调SON功能以避免冲突并且以确保小区的足够的容量和覆盖范围。
示例3
在该示例中,假设小区2的ESM模块正在小区2上操作以补偿处于节能状态的小区4的覆盖范围,而小区1检测到小区1具有中断,并且请求小区2的COC模块补偿小区1的覆盖范围。因此,SON协调模块108可以协调这些SON功能以确定该请求是否可以被接受,并且以避免冲突和以确保小区的足够的容量和覆盖范围。
示例4

假设小区1的COC模块将执行小区中断补偿操作,并且小区1的CCO模块正在调整小区1的RF参数。为了解决该冲突,SON协调模块108可以确定小区1的CCO模块的状态是否是主动的,并且如果是主动的,则CCO操作可以优先于COC操作。小区1的CCO模块可以在它完成改变CCO参数之后将它的状态改变为被动的。在该情境中,小区1的COC模块可以执行小区中断补偿操作。
示例6
为了在(一个或多个)共同受影响的小区(例如,图3中的小区2)中防止来自COC模块、ESM模块的冲突调整和/或来自CCO模块的优化操作,SON协调模块108可以确定(一个或多个)小区影响区域信息。通过比较COC模块、CCO模块和/或ESM模块的优先级,SON协调模块可以指导模块对(一个或多个)所协调的小区执行最高优先级动作并且暂停最低优先级动作。COC模块、CCO模块和/或ESM模块的优先级可以被预置。
当然前述的示例仅是可以创造冲突的情境类型的代表,并且当然本公开不限于这些示例。
图4示出了与本公开一致的示例实施例的操作400的流程图。更具体地,流程图400示出了协调各种SON功能的操作。该实施例的操作包括从至少一个小区接收SON功能信息(402)。操作还包括确定在小区内是否存在与SON功能信息有关的冲突(404)。如果小区内存在冲突,则操作还包括解决SON功能信息的冲突(406)和选择优化小区的容量和/或覆盖范围的功能(408)。如果小区内不存在冲突(404),操作还包括确定不止一个小区的SON功能之间是否存在冲突(410)。如果小区内或多个小区内不存在冲突,则操作还包括指导SON功能操作(412)。如果多个小区间存在冲突,操作还包括解决SON功能信息的冲突(406)和选择优化小区的容量和/或覆盖范围的功能(408)。

冲突检测模块,所述冲突检测模块被配置为从至少一个容量和覆盖范围优化(CCO)模块和节能管理(ESM)模块和/或小区中断补偿(COC)模块中的至少一个接收操作信息,其中所述至少一个CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个与同所述冲突检测模块通信的至少一个eNodeB(eNB)相关联;所述冲突检测模块被配置为确定所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突;以及
冲突解决模块,所述冲突解决模块被配置为至少部分地基于一个或多个冲突解决规则来解决所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突。
2.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述CCO模块被配置为:至少部分地基于小区的下行链路传输功率、天线倾角或天线方位角来将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的覆盖区域最大化并且将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区内的UE的数量最大化。
3.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述CCO模块被配置为:对由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的中断进行补偿。
4.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述ESM模块被配置为扩大与所述至少一个eNB相关联的小区的覆盖范围以对处于节能状态的邻近小区进行补偿。
5.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述冲突解决规则至少部分地基于与所述CCO模块、所述COC模块和/或所述ESM模块相关联的功能的优先级。
6.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述冲突检测模块和/或所述冲突解决模块与同所述至少一个eNB通信的网络管理器(NM)相关联。
7.如权利要求1所述的SON协调模块,其中,所述冲突检测模块和/或所述冲突解决模块与同所述至少一个eNB通信的元件管理器(EM)相关联。
8.一种方法,包括:
从至少一个容量和覆盖范围优化(CCO)模块和节能管理(ESM)模块和/或小区中断补偿(COC)模块中的至少一个接收操作信息,其中所述至少一个CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个与至少一个eNodeB(eNB)相关联;
确定所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突;以及
至少部分地基于一个或多个冲突解决规则和/或所述CCO模块、所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块的功能状态来解决所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突。
9.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:由所述CCO模块至少部分地基于小区的下行链路传输功率、天线倾角或天线方位角来将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的覆盖区域最大化并且将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区内的UE的数量最大化。
10.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:由所述COC模块对由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的中断进行补偿。
11.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:由所述ESM模块控制扩大与所述至少一个eNB相关联的小区的覆盖范围以对处于节能状态的邻近小区进行补偿。
12.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:所述冲突解决规则至少部分地基于与所述CCO模块、所述COC模块和/或所述ESM模块相关联的功能的优先级。
13.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:用与所述至少一个eNB通信的网络管理器(NM)来部署所述冲突检测模块和/或所述冲突解决模块。
14.如权利要求8所述的方法,还包括:用与所述至少一个eNB通信的元件管理器(EM)来部署所述冲突检测模块和/或所述冲突解决模块。
15.一种无线网络系统,包括:
网络管理器,所述网络管理器被配置为与至少一个eNodeB(eNB)交换命令和数据,其中所述至少一个eNB具有与所述至少一个eNB相关联的小区的覆盖区域;
冲突检测模块,所述冲突检测模块被配置为从至少一个容量和覆盖范围优化(CCO)模块和节能管理(ESM)模块和/或小区中断补偿(COC)模块中的至少一个接收操作信息,其中所述至少一个CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个与同所述冲突检测模块通信的至少一个eNB相关联;所述冲突检测模块被配置为确定所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突;以及
冲突解决模块,所述冲突解决模块被配置为至少部分地基于一个或多个冲突解决规则和/或所述CCO模块、所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块的功能状态来解决所述CCO模块和所述ESM模块和/或所述COC模块中的至少一个的操作信息之间的冲突。
16.如权利要求15所述的无线网络系统,其中,所述CCO模块被配置为:至少部分地基于小区的下行链路传输功率、天线倾角或天线方位角来将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的覆盖区域最大化并且将由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区内的UE的数量最大化。
17.如权利要求15所述的无线网络系统,其中,所述CCO模块被配置为:对由所述至少一个eNB覆盖的小区的中断进行补偿。
18.如权利要求15所述的无线网络系统,其中,所述ESM模块被配置为扩大与所述至少一个eNB相关联的小区的覆盖范围以对处于节能状态的邻近小区进行补偿。
19.如权利要求15所述的无线网络系统,其中,所述冲突解决规则至少部分地基于与所述CCO模块、所述COC模块和/或所述ESM模块相关联的功能的优先级。
20.如权利要求15所述的无线网络系统,还包括元件管理器(EM),所述EM与所述NM和所述至少一个eNB通信,其中所述冲突检测模块和/或所述冲突解决模块被部署为与所述EM相关联。
21.一种eNodeB(eNB),包括:
容量和覆盖范围优化(CCO)模块,所述CCO模块被配置为至少部分地基于小区的下行链路传输功率、天线倾角或天线方位角来将由所述eNB覆盖的小区的覆盖区域最大化并且将由所述eNB覆盖的小区内的UE的数量最大化;以及下面各项中的至少一个:
节能管理(ESM)模块,所述ESM模块被配置为控制由所述eNB覆盖的小区的节能状态;和/或
小区中断补偿(COC)模块,所述COC模块被配置为对由所述eNB覆盖的小区的中断进行补偿。
