Abstract

技术领域
背景技术
手持现场维护工具是已知的。这种工具在过程控制和测量工业中高度有用,其用于允许操作者与在给定过程设施中的现场设备进行方便的通信和/或询问。这种过程设施的示例包括:石油、制药、化学、制浆、以及其他流体处理设施。在这种设施中,过程控制和测量网络可以包括几十或甚至上百个各种现场设备,这些现场设备周期性地要求维护,以确保这种设备正确工作和/或校准。此外,当检测到过程控制和测量设施中的一个或多个错误时,使用手持现场维护工具允许技术人员快速地在现场诊断这种错误。手持现场维护工具一般用于使用数字过程通信协议来配置、校准和诊断与智能现场设备相关的问题。
由于至少一些过程设施可以涉及高度挥发性、或甚至是爆炸性的环境,针对现场设备以及与这种现场设备一起使用的手持现场维护工具符合本质安全要求通常是有利的,或甚至是必须的。这些要求有助于确保符合要求的电子设备即使在故障条件下也不产生点燃源。在由Factory Mutual Research在1998年10月发布的APPROVALSTANDARDINTRINSICALLY SAFE APPARATUS ANDASSOCIATED APPARATUS FOR USE IN CLASS I,IIAND III,DIVISION NUMBER 1 HAZARDOUS(CLASSIFIED)LOCATIONS,CLASS NUMBER 3610中阐述了本质安全要求的一个示例。符合本质安全要求的手持现场维护工具的示例包括由Austin,Texas的EmersonProcess Management出售的具有商业名称Model475FieldCommunicator的手持现场维护工具。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种手持现场维护工具及相关联方法。所述手持现场维护工具包括被配置为根据过程工业通信标准进行通信的过程通信模块。控制器耦合到所述过程通信模块,且所述控制器被配置为访问与所选的仿真的现场设备相关的设备描述。用户接口被配置为接收与仿真的现场设备的参数相关的用户输入。所述控制器通过所述过程通信模块产生通信,以基于所述用户输入对所选现场设备进行仿真。

具体实施方式
图1A和1B是耦合到现场设备20、23的手持现场维护工具22的概略图。如图1A所示,手持现场维护工具22包括分别耦合到测试导线30、32的一对端子25、27,然后测试导线30、32耦合到现场设备20的端子24。端子24可以是用于允许这种手持现场维护工具耦合到设备20并与设备20交互的专用端子。使用端子25、27耦合到现场设备说明了在手持现场维护工具22和现场设备20之间的有线连接的示例。
图1B示出了备选布置,其中,手持现场维护工具22直接耦合到现场设备23所耦合的过程控制环路34。在任一情况中,手持现场维护工具和现场设备之间的有线连接允许手持现场维护工具与所需现场设备20、23交互。

现场设备104可以是感测过程中的变量(比如压力或温度)并通过过程通信环路发送与该变量相关的信息的任何设备。现场设备104还可以是从过程通信环路接收信息并基于该信息设置物理参数(比如阀门闭合度)的设备。现场设备104被描述为工业过程流体压力变送器,耦合有压力歧管106以及电子外壳108。提供现场设备104仅用于说明性的目的。在实际中,现场设备104可以是任何工业设备,比如过程流体温度变送器、过程流体水平变送器、过程流体流量变送器、阀门控制器、或在工业过程的测量和/或控制中有用的任何其他设备。
手持现场维护工具102一般包括用户接口,该用户接口包括显示器120以及多个用户输入按钮122。显示器120可以是任何合适的显示器,比如有源矩阵液晶显示器、或能够提供有用信息的任何其他合适的显示器。按钮122可以包括与任意数目的功能相关的任何合适的按钮布置,可以将手持现场维护工具用于这些任意数目的功能。按钮122可以包括数字键区、字母数字键区、任何合适数目的定制功能、和/或导航按钮、或它们的任意组合。
图3是根据本发明的实施例的手持现场维护工具的系统概略图。工具52优选地符合至少一种本质安全规范,比如上面列出的本质安全规范,以帮助确保在可能爆炸的环境中的安全性。手持现场维护工具52包括至少一个无线过程通信模块121。无线过程通信模块121的合适示例包括根据已知的无线通信协议(比如,已知的WirelessHART协议(IEC62591))产生和/或接收正确信号的模块。在ISA100.11a中阐述了另一无线过程通信协议。尽管图3示出了单一无线过程通信模块121,显然可以预期使用任何合适数目的无线过程通信模块来根据当前已有的或稍后开发的各种无线过程通信协议来进行通信。

手持现场维护工具52包括用于使用显示器120和按键122产生用户接口的用户接口模块156。模块156可以包括合适的显示器驱动器电路158和/或存储器,以与显示器120交互。模块156还包括输入电路160,其被配置为与按钮122交互,以接收用户输入。附加地,在显示器120包括触摸屏的实施例中,模块160可以包括用于基于触摸屏接收到的用户触摸和/或手势来产生对控制器130的用户输入数据的电路。
手持现场维护工具52可以包括方便附加功能的多个附加项。具体地,工具52可以包括位置检测模块,比如GPS模块150。GPS模块150可以被配置为附加地使用用于增强准确性的广域增量系统(WideArea Augmentation System)(WAAS),和/或可以被配置为适当使用差分GPS技术来进行操作。模块150耦合到控制器130以向控制器130提供对工具52的地理位置的指示。尽管位置检测模块150优选地是工具52的内部组件,其可以是外部的且使用合适的无线或有线通信协议(比如Bluetooth 124、RFID 128等等)通信耦合到工具52的组件。此外,尽管位置检测模块150一般被描述为GPS模块150,可以使用基于与具有已知固定位置的无线接收机的无线通信的相对强度对手持现场维护工具的位置进行三角测量的其他技术。这种无线三角测量技术的示例包括基于与三个或更多固定位置的WiFi通信点或接入点的通信,对手持现场维护工具52的位置进行三角测量。此外,如上所述,本发明的实施例可以包括使用一个或多个无线过程通信协议模块(比如模块121)的能力。如果可以实现与固定位置的无线现场设备的合适数目的无线交互,则也可以使用这种三角测量技术。最后,尽管上面描述了用于获得手持现场维护工具52的位置所提供的各种方法,它们还可以彼此结合以提供附加准确性和/或冗余性。附加地,工具52还优选地包括耦合到控制器130的罗盘模块152,使得工具52可以指示其正在指向的罗盘方向。最后,工具52还可以包括耦合到控制器130的倾斜模块154,以向控制器130提供关于工具52相对于重力的倾角的指示。然而,附加的感测轴也是可预期的。
在手持现场维护工具帮助技术人员或工程师在现场寻找无线现场设备的物理位置的情况下,定位位置模块150、罗盘模块152以及倾斜模块154是特别有用的。炼油厂通常是非常大的过程设施,其具有定位在各种位置处的很多现场设备,其中一些可能不是容易可见的。
设置过程控制系统通常要求通过以下步骤来验证控制策略:强制各种现场设备对响应信号进行仿真,以观察控制系统响应,并确定其是否正确。目前,这要求安装实际的现场设备仪表并向它们供电。一旦确定了这些标准,则必须操作现场设备,使得现场设备提供或输出所需的数字信号。这可以通过以下步骤来完成:将现场设备置于仿真模式下,并使用配置设备(比如手持现场维护工具)来设置所需输出。备选地,可以通过对现场设备的传感器实际施加外部源来获得所需输出。例如,对于过程流体压力变送器,可以施加特定的压力。仿真能力在所有的现场设备中并不总是可用。此外,即使提供了仿真能力,有时也难以使用或使用起来麻烦。此外,另一方面,外部源解决方案在实施上可能是消耗时间且麻烦的。
根据本发明的实施例,提供一种手持现场维护工具,其具有在过程控制环路或段上实际模仿一个或多个现场设备的能力。这样,手持现场维护工具表现得如同其就是实际的现场设备。这意味着现在可以在将任何仪表物理安装在现场之前就可以验证控制设置。此外,本发明的实施例可以提供仿真接口,该接口针对技术人员的易用性方面进行了优化,且可以允许技术人员通过使用设备描述(DD)技术来选择特定的现场设备来仿真。此外,本发明的实施例可以指定仿真的现场设备的配置应当是什么,以及动态变量输出应当是什么。
根据本发明的实施例,手持现场维护工具52包括存储在控制器130的存储器或存储在耦合到控制器130的存储器中的设备描述的数据库。附加地,或备选地,可以经由无线通信协议模块123从远程设备获得任何合适的设备描述。
图4是根据本发明的实施例的对现场设备进行仿真的方法的流程图。方法200开始于框202,其中,手持现场维护工具(比如工具52)的技术人员或用户选择设备仿真功能。可以通过按动恰当的按钮122,或经由手持现场维护设备菜单的导航,来执行该选择。一旦选择了设备仿真功能,则控制器130促使显示器120提供一个或多个用户接口单元,其帮助用户选择特定的现场设备。例如,用户接口可以包括下拉框,该下拉框列出了所有已知的现场设备制造商。然后,一旦用户选择了设备制造商,第二用户接口单元可以提供对设备类型的选择。一旦已选择了设备类型,第三用户接口单元可以提供由所选制造商制造的具有所选类型的所有已知的现场设备的全面列表。一旦用户在框204选择了特定现场设备,则访问所选现场设备的设备描述(DD),如框206所示。附加地,如果用户指示了在从所选制造商的所选类型中呈现给用户的现场设备的列表中未提供该现场设备,则方法200可以包括手持现场维护工具使用无线通信协议模块123访问从所选制造商提供的具有所选类型的现场设备的在线数据库的能力。在框206优选地经由对在手持现场维护工具中本地存储的设备描述的数据库的内部查找来完成对所需设备描述的访问。如果所需设备描述未存储在本地设备描述数据库中,或如果未提供数据库,则手持现场维护工具52可以优选地经由无线通信协议模块123通过互联网或任何合适的网络访问所需的设备描述。一旦在步骤206已获取了设备描述,手持现场维护工具52将拥有需要仿真的所选现场设备的能力和行为的全面描述。此时,方法200在框208处继续,其中,手持现场维护工具52向技术人员或用户呈现用户接口,其允许对仿真的现场设备的特定参数进行配置。示例可以是允许技术人员指定由仿真的现场设备所测量的过程变量,比如过程流体压力或温度。在框210,手持现场维护工具52经由过程通信模块与过程控制器交互。这种交互的示例包括使用有线过程通信模块138通过有线过程通信环路或段进行通信。这种有线过程通信的示例包括高速可寻址远程传感器协议、FOUNDATIONTM Fieldbus协议、Profibus等等。备选地,手持现场维护工具可以使用无线过程通信协议模块121,通过无线过程通信协议进行通信,比如WirelessHART。在这个意义上,手持现场维护工具在过程控制环路或段上通信,以向过程控制器指示由技术人员设置的仿真的现场设备的所选变量或参数。当然,本发明的实施例还包括手持现场维护工具52在设备仿真模式下操作,以从过程控制器或其他合适的设备接收一个或多个响应,并根据技术人员指示的仿真对这种响应进行反应的能力。
由于手持现场维护工具的输出表示“假”的或仿真的信号,其当然预期不在过程控制设施的实况操作中使用。取而代之地,仿真模式主要意在用作启动前的环路或段验证。附加地,由于假信号可能对工厂操作产生显著的影响,本发明的实施例可以包括仿真标记212或其他合适的数据结构,在框210中向仿真通信提供该仿真标记212或其他合适的数据结构,使得控制系统能够区分这种信号。这种通信的一个示例可以是传输到控制/主机系统的附加通信分组,其允许控制/主机系统向操作者显示设备是否实际上是仿真的设备。
Claims (9)
1.一种手持现场维护工具,包括:
过程通信模块,被配置为根据过程工业通信标准在过程通信环路上与现场设备进行通信;
控制器,耦合到所述过程通信模块,所述控制器被配置为访问与所选的仿真的现场设备相关的设备描述,并操作于设备仿真模式;
用户接口,被配置为接收与仿真的现场设备的参数相关的用户输入;
其中,操作于设备仿真模式的所述控制器被配置为通过所述过程通信模块产生通信,以基于所述用户输入对所选的仿真的现场设备的过程变量输出进行仿真,其中,所述过程变量通过过程通信环路传送至过程控制器,使其如同是从与所选的仿真的现场设备相同的安装的现场设备发送的一样;
其中,通过通信环路的通信还被配置为在安装所选的仿真的现场设备之前验证控制设置;以及
其中,由所述控制器通过所述过程通信模块产生的通信还包括所述通信是通过仿真产生的指示。
2.根据权利要求1所述的手持现场维护工具,其中,所述过程通信模块是有线过程通信模块。
3.根据权利要求1所述的手持现场维护工具,其中,所述过程通信模块是无线过程通信模块。
4.根据权利要求1所述的手持现场维护工具,还包括在所述手持现场维护工具中和耦合至所述控制器的计算机可读介质上存储的设备描述的数据库。
5.根据权利要求1所述的手持现场维护工具,还包括耦合到所述控制器的至少一个辅助无线通信协议模块,其中,所述控制器被配置为使用所述至少一个辅助无线通信协议模块来访问所述设备描述。
6.一种通过过程通信环路对现场设备进行仿真的方法,所述方法包括:
将手持现场维护工具耦合到所述环路,
选择设备仿真功能,其中选择设备仿真功能将所述手持现场维护工具的模式改变为设备仿真模式;
选择要利用所述手持现场维护工具来仿真的现场设备;
访问在所述手持现场维护工具上存储的所选的仿真的现场设备的设备描述;
接收与由所述设备描述指示的至少一个过程变量相关的用户输入,所述至少一个过程变量是所选的仿真的现场设备能够测量的变量;以及
基于所述设备描述和所述用户输入,利用所述手持现场维护工具在所述环路上产生过程通信,其中,所产生的过程通信包括仿真的过程变量输出,其中,仿真的过程变量通过过程通信环路传送至过程控制器,如同从所选的仿真的现场设备发送一样;以及
在安装所选的仿真的现场设备之前验证控制设置;以及
其中,所述过程通信包括指示所述过程通信是来自由所述手持现场维护工具在设备仿真模式中产生的仿真的现场设备的数据。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中,所述手持现场维护工具对多个现场设备进行仿真。
8.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中,所述过程通信包括指示所述过程通信来自仿真的现场设备的数据。
9.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中,访问设备描述包括:与远程数据库无线通信以获得所述设备描述。
