Abstract

The present invention generally relates to a seamless face mask for protection against cold, and more particularly to a seamless face mask for protection against cold that can be woven by a knitting machine in a seamless manner, Protects from being blown off by the wind and keeps the user's ears and nose warm even in very cold weather.

Generally, the reason for using a face mask is mainly based on purposes such as protection from cold or dust. One such mask is a mask that includes a main body having an open central portion to allow a user's nose and mouth to be disposed in the open central portion and to allow the user to breathe. The front cover is also attached to the main body so that the user can breathe smoothly through openings arranged around the user's nose and mouth.

However, it is inconvenient for the user to wear the mask because the human nose and mouth protrude from the face. In addition, the mask is in close contact with the user's nose and mouth, thereby making it difficult for the user to breathe smoothly.

In order to overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, a mask has been proposed that includes a front cover disposed around an opening of a main body and covering a user's nose and mouth. The front cover includes a plurality of folded portions which are sewn along side seaming portions of the front surface of the main body such that the front cover protrudes forward. An opening is formed in the lower end portion of the front cover so that the user's nose and mouth can directly communicate with the outside. In this mask, a space is defined between the nose and the mouth and the mask for covering the nose and the mouth, thereby avoiding the problems of poor breathing and wearing inconvenience.

However, the above-mentioned masks are only able to cover the user's nose and mouth and the area around these areas. Thus, for example, when the user drives a motorcycle or rides a bicycle, the wind can easily blow off the mask. Furthermore, such masks are manufactured through several processes, with the result that the production costs are increased.

In order to overcome the above-mentioned problems, a face mask is provided in Korean Patent Application No. 10-2010-0027656 entitled "Seamless Fashion Face Mask" filed by the applicant of the present invention.

The claimed seamless fashion mask includes a lower strap, a main body, an upper body, a middle strap, a pair of ear loops and a pair of eye openings. Forming the lower band includes the steps of weaving a predetermined length of the cylindrical structure with fine yarns; bending the cylindrical structure; and interconnecting opposite ends of the cylindrical structure in a seamless manner. The cross-section of the lower band is flat and annular. A cylindrical body extends upwardly from the lower band in a seamless manner. The upper strap is connected to the upper edge of the main body in a seamless manner. The cross-section of the upper band is flat and annular. The intermediate band is joined in a seamless manner on the circumferential inner surface of the junction between the upper end of the main body and the upper band. The ear loops are formed such that a predetermined portion of the middle band is cut. The eye opening is formed such that a predetermined portion of the front surface of the main body is cut in a seamless manner.

However, in the conventional seamless fashion mask, the user's ears hung with ear loops are exposed to the outside. For example, when the wind blows in severe cold weather, the exposed ears make the user feel very cold. Likewise, if the user wears glasses, the warm air exhaled from the user's mouth will obscure the glasses when breathing.

Contents of the invention

Therefore, the present invention fully takes into account the above-mentioned problems that have occurred in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a seamless face mask for protection against cold that is durable even in very cold weather. It is possible to protect the ears and allow the user wearing the mask to breathe easily, so that even if the user wears glasses, the glasses can be prevented from being blurred.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a seamless mask for cold protection, the seamless mask includes: a lower belt, the lower belt is made of a cylindrical structure with a predetermined length, a curved circle, and a a cylindrical structure formed by interconnecting opposite ends of said cylindrical structure in a seamless manner, a lower band having a flat annular cross-section; a cylindrical body formed of a seamless extending upwardly from a lower strap in a seamed manner; an upper strap connected in a seamless manner to the upper edge of the main body, the upper strap having a flat circular cross-section; a pair of ear loops, the pair of ear loops disposed on the circumferential inner surface of the junction between the upper end of the main body and the upper band; and a pair of ear covers, each of which is formed into a suitable shape, wherein the abutment of the upper band corresponds to Sections of the rope are cut lengthwise.

Detailed ways

Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Reference should now be made to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to designate like or like parts throughout the different drawings.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a seamless face mask for protection against cold according to the present invention. Fig. 2 is a front view of the seamless mask for protection against cold.

As shown in the accompanying drawings, the seamless face mask of the present invention, indicated by reference numeral 10, comprises a lower strap 20, a main body 30, an upper strap 40, a middle strap 50, ear loops 60, a nose cover 100, ear covers 70 and exhale part 90.

The main body 30 is woven into a cylindrical shape. The lower band 20 is formed on the lower end portion of the main body 30 . The lower band 20 is braided on the lower end portion of the main body 30 in a seamless manner such that the cross-sectional shape of the lower band 20 is a flat circular cross-sectional shape (refer to FIG. 3 ).

Also, an upper band 40 is integrally formed on the upper end portion of the main body 30 such that a cross-section of the upper band 40 is a flat ring shape.

As shown in FIG. 2 , the exhalation portion 90 is formed in a predetermined portion of the front surface of the upper belt 40 . The exhalation portion 90 is woven such that the size of the aperture is larger than the size of the upper strap 40, thereby allowing warm air exhaled by the user to flow more easily through the exhalation portion 90 when breathing. Therefore, when the user wearing the mask breathes, warm air can be discharged to the outside through the exhalation part 90 .

In the case of a typical mask, for example, when a user wearing glasses breathes in cold weather, warm air exhaled by the user collides with the mask and moves upwards, clouding the glasses. However, in the present invention, through the exhalation portion 90, the exhaled air can be expelled from the mask, thereby preventing the generation of steam on the user's eyeglasses.

The middle belt 50 is formed in a seamless manner on the junction between the main body 30 and the upper belt 40 . The shape of the intermediate belt 50 is that of a cylindrical belt.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 , the shape of each ear loop 60 is formed by cutting a corresponding portion of the middle strip 50 . In the present invention, the ear loops 60 include a pair of ear loops 60 . Each ear loop 60 is integrally formed into a suitable shape without a seam, wherein the corresponding portion is cut when the mask is knitted, rather than the additional process of cutting the junction between the middle strap 50 and the main body 30 .

The seamless face mask 10 according to the present invention having the above-described configuration can be used in the manner shown in FIG. 12 . In other words, the user can use the looped ear loops 60 to wear the mask. In cold weather, as shown in FIG. 13 , the user can cover his/her ears with the ear loops 60 using the ear covers 70 in order to protect them from the cold. As shown in Figure 12, the nose cover 100 is formed in a single layer so that it will become very comfortable for the user to wear the mask.

As shown in FIG. 6, each ear cap 70 is formed into a suitable shape in which a corresponding portion of the upper strap 40 above the corresponding ear cord 60 is cut longitudinally. The ear covers 70 are also properly shaped in a seamless manner, wherein when the face mask is knitted, corresponding portions are cut instead of a separate cutting process.

As shown in FIG. 8 , the nose cap 100 is formed such that a joint between a part of the upper band 40 and a corresponding part of the middle band 50 in a section corresponding to the exhalation part 90 is cut to a predetermined length.

The process of knitting the seamless face mask 10 for protection against cold according to the present invention having the above-mentioned configuration will be explained with reference to FIG. 9 .

As shown in the figures, the knitting machine knits the seamless face mask 10 in a seamless manner using elastic threads in a single process. First, the braiding machine braids the lower band 20 with a thread such that the lower band 20 is formed into a cylindrical shape of a predetermined length and is bent, and opposite ends of the lower band 20 are connected to each other in a seamless manner.

A cylindrical body 30 then extends upwardly from the lower band 20 in a seamless weave. Thereafter, the intermediate belt 50 is formed in an endless belt shape along the upper edge of the main body 30 . Thereafter, the upper tape 40 is integrally woven in the same manner as the lower tape 20 .

During the above braiding process, the exhalation portion 90, the ear loops 60, the ear covers 70 and the nose cover 100 are all formed in a seamless manner, which will be described with reference to FIGS. 10 and 11 .

As shown in FIG. 10 , knitting the exhalation portion 90 on a circular knitting machine involves feeding no course threads to a predetermined number of wales so that it can be formed from a range of no course threads Thin and large orifice.
