图2描述了用户执行三种运动配置,分别为:“卷体”(crunch)(图2A)、“肩桥”(shoulder bridge)(图2B)以及“超人”(superman)(图2C)。尽管只示出了这三种示例,并作为后文的参照,该选择决不是用来限制本发明的范围,而实际上许多其他类型的运动也是能够预料到的(例如,传统的仰卧起坐、躺下仰卧膝关节弯曲或伸直的抬腿、悬垂举腿、骨盆倾斜、使用腹部起坐机的运动,等)。为此,包括两个或多个用户的运动(例如,两个人躺在垫的相对侧,每人都进行所述“卷体”,以及在每次重复过程中传递给对方一个加重的球,等)也应该被考虑为本发明的范围之内。
对于执行图2A的运动(“卷体”)的用户,运动配置应该反映并传达给用户以保持背部和足部位于垫上,而抬起头部和肩部。尤其是,在每次重复结束时,肩部应停靠于垫上。因此,在示范性实施例中,运动配置能够规定用户的头部和肩部区域的致动器行可以被激发,例如,由附图标记6(见附图3A)指示的三行。由于头部在整个设置期间应当抬离垫,头部区域的致动器可以持续激活。然而,由于在每次重复结束时肩部应停靠于垫上,肩部区域30的致动器可以仅在每次重复开始时激活;为了提示用户应当将肩部移回垫,位于其他区域(例如,下背部31)的致动器可以产生短暂的刺激。因此,一个关于“蜷缩”(图3A)的简化的示范性运动配置会规定:
-激发附图标记6标记的三行;
-短暂地激发附图标记30标记的行(抬起肩部);
-等待规定时间;
-短暂地激发附图标记31标记的行(回落肩部);
-等待规定时间;
-重复步骤b)-e),直到完成重复次数;以及
-解除激活(Deactivate)附图标记6标记的三行;
在与图2B所示的运动(“桥”)相关的运动配置的示例中,用户需要将头部、肩部以及足部保持在垫上,而抬起背部。因此,用户背部区域的致动器行7可被激发(参见图3B)。最后,在与图2C所示的运动(“超人”)相关的运动配置的示例中,用户需要将腹部保持在垫上,而抬起身体其他部分。因此,用户那些区域的致动器行8和9可被激发(参见图3C)。显然,其他激活配置是可能的,其中,例如,用户可以将被刺激的身体部位保持在触觉运动垫1上,而不是使其移动。
在使用状态下,控制器可根据运动配置以及它们相应的致动器配置编程。在一个实施例中,控制器可包括存储装置(例如,一个小的存储芯片),其将这些预定的致动器配置存储于数据库中。在另一个实施例中,控制器可从互联网服务器上访问所述配置,在互联网上也可以下载可能的更新。用户可以经由控制器(例如,手动地、用声音,等)选择给定的运动配置,控制器在实施例中可以与触觉运动垫1结合为一个整体或者能够被分开但通过有线或无线地连接至垫。在后一种方式中,控制器能够通过采用任意适合带宽的任意适合类型的有线或无线媒介的方法与触觉运动垫1通信。
特别适合于本发明的致动器的示例是扁平型外心质量旋转电动机,它们质量轻、薄且便宜。然而,与触觉运动垫1兼容的任何其他类型的致动器都能够被使用,例如质量偏心振动电动机(EMC)、加热器(例如,电阻元件)、制冷器(例如,珀耳帖元件)、电活性聚合物、经皮电神经刺激(TENS)、压电致动器、形状记忆合金,等。
在一个实施例中,触觉运动垫1还包括分布于其中的一个或多个传感器3(参见图1),其适于监测运动的执行,诸如完成的重复次数。该一个或多个传感器与控制器通信连接,控制器适于将它们的读出与预定的致动器配置作比较。这样的比较结果可能是差异测量,其被输出给用户,以提供正确执行运动比例的反馈。例如,当运动已被正确执行100%时,所有致动器可以都被短暂地激发(一起,或逐渐地由足部开始至头部结束);当运动已被正确完成50%时,而只是一半的致动器被短暂(briefly)激发。
在另一个实施例中,该一个或多个传感器3适于确定触觉运动垫1上的一个或多个用户的数量、位置和尺寸,并输入这些信息至控制器从而基于此控制所述多个致动器2、6、7、8、9。基本上,该一个或多个传感器可用于测定垫上与用户接触的区域。它们可用于,例如,确定躺在或坐在垫上的用户的数量、他们的位置以及尺寸(例如,对于矮的人,相比高的人而言足部和头部区域将会彼此更加靠近)。这些信息可以输入控制器从而响应于探测到的一个或多个用户的数量、位置以及尺寸控制所述多个致动器。
在其他实施例中,该一个或多个传感器3没被包含在所述触觉运动垫1中,而是附接至执行运动的用户的身体部位;例如可以是这样的方式,一个用户在执行蜷缩运动时将传感器(例如,加速计)附接于他的手腕上或其他身体部位,在这种情况中来自该传感器的加速度数据提供了关于重复完成次数的信息。
传感器的例子有压力传感器、光传感器、加速计、接近传感器、力传感器(例如,压电聚合物、陶瓷应变计,等)、力和位置感应电阻器、热电物质、被动式红外传感器、二进制“开/关”传感器,等。尤其是,落在本发明范围内的符合应用范围的接近传感器是光学传感器、电容传感器、电感传感器以及红外反射传感器。
在一个实施例中,触觉运动垫1还包括发光元件4(例如,LED)(参见图1),其提供了视觉指导和反馈(例如,上述的差异测量可以光条纹的形式输出而不是触觉刺激);这特别有利于,但不限定于,在运动期间用户面向垫的运动(参见图2C)。本领域技术人员可以意识到除图1中所示外的各种其他配置(在形状、位置方面,等)都可以用于发光元件。作为示例,发光元件可以为显示领域的形式,例如挠性显示器,其可以合并入垫中。在既包括传感器又包括发光元件的触觉运动垫的实施例中,还可以提供额外的功能。例如,一个或多个传感器3能够用于测定用户的肩部宽度;后来,当用户需要执行运动时,手部应当以肩部宽度放在垫上,光图像可以指示他应该把他的手部放在什么位置。因此,所述触觉运动垫为用户提供接收指导和反馈的丰富且自然的方式。
通常,所有适合类型的用户可感测反馈(例如,触觉、视觉、听觉,等)都可以设想并结合于本发明中。此外,如果控制与屏幕联合,信息可以全部在屏幕上显示。
在一个实施例中,触觉运动垫1中的电路可以是柔性电路,从而垫可以是挠性的,并且垫可被卷起或展开,因此能够更加容易且更加便利地保存和运输。
触觉运动垫1可以由任何适合的材料制成,例如橡胶和泡沫。
尽管图1所示的触觉运动垫1在形状是长方形的,本领域技术人员应该意识到各种其他形状也是可用的(例如,多面体、方形、圆形、半圆形、椭圆形,等)。
触觉运动垫1可以具有任何适合的尺寸。例如,如果用于进行伸展运动,它可以是任意用户可以舒服地坐在或躺在上面的尺寸。在实施例中,本发明还可以是可同时由多于一个用户使用的尺寸,例如,在一个健身中心的运动课期间。
触觉运动垫1可在水平表面上(例如,地板)、倾斜表面上(例如,运动腹部的长凳)、在其支撑结构的不同部分呈现不同倾斜角度的表面上(例如,椅子)、弯曲表面上等使用。如果需要,可以为垫提供一个或多个附接装置,诸如钩或夹具,其允许该装置被固定到垂直表面(例如,门)上。最后,本发明也可以合并入另一物件中,例如训练台、床,等。
触觉运动垫1可以提供以图像,例如人体5的程式化的表征(参见图3),以便于用户相对于垫表面的定向。
触觉运动垫1可由任意合适的能量源供能,诸如电池系统(例如,内部/外部的一个或多个电池组)、插座(例如,墙壁插座、车载点烟器插座,等)、太阳能电池、小发电机,等等。
尽管这里描述的本发明可为一个或多个用户提供执行一种运动或各种运动的所有需要的指令,而无需外部帮助,但可使用媒体组件(例如,VHS、CD、DVD、蓝光光盘,等)结合到所述垫中以进一步增强用户的体验。
图4示出了解释操作触觉运动垫的实施例的流程图10,其中运动配置使运动垫上的一个区域与用户的一个身体部位相关联,并且其中根据运动配置通过激发与身体部位相关联的触觉运动垫的区域内的致动器来操作触觉运动垫。图4示出了触觉运动垫还包括一个或多个传感器的情形。
运行触觉运动垫的一个示范性执行可包括如下步骤:
40:开始
11:加载当前运动的运动配置;该运动配置定义了用于该运动的致动器模式和传感器模式;
12:在整个运动12期间,激发应当保持抬起的致动器;
13:激发对应于在一次重复期间应当上下运动的身体部位的致动器;
14:等待,直到传感器探测到向上运动;
15:解除激活对应于在一个重复期间应当上下运动的身体部位的致动器;
16:等待,直到传感器探测到向下运动;
17:检查用户是否需要完成更多的重复;如果是18,再次从13开始;
19:解除激活致动器;
20:检查用户是否需要完成更多的运动;如果是21,再次从11开始;
41:结束。
本发明可以以任何适合的形式执行,包括硬件、软件、固件或它们的任意组合。本发明或本发明的一些特征可以实现为运行于一个或多个数据处理器和/或数字信号处理器上的计算机软件。本发明的实施例的元件和组件可以以任何合适的方式被物理地、功能地以及逻辑地实现。实际上,该功能可以实现在一个单元、多个单元中或实现为其他功能单元的一部分。因此,本发明可以在一个单元内实现,或者物理地和功能地分布于不同单元和处理器之间。

Claims (12)

1.一种触觉运动垫(1),包括分布于其中的多个致动器(2),以及适于控制所述多个致动器的控制器,其中所述控制器访问为一个或多个用户限定了运动配置的预定致动器配置,并且其中所述多个致动器中的一个或多个致动器根据预定致动器配置被控制。
2.根据权利要求1所述的触觉运动垫(1),还包括分布于其中并与所述控制器通信连接的一个或多个传感器(3)。
3.根据权利要求1所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述控制器通信连接至附接于运动垫的用户的一个或多个传感器,其中所述一个或多个传感器,在使用时,适于探测用户的运动。
4.根据权利要求2或3所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述控制器还适合于将所述一个或多个传感器(3)的读数与预定致动器配置进行比较。
5.根据权利要求2所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述一个或多个传感器(3)适于测定一个或多个用户的数量、尺寸或位置,并输入这些信息至控制器从而据此来控制所述多个致动器(2、6、7、8、9、30、31)。
6.根据权利要求2所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述一个或多个传感器(3)是压力传感器。
7.根据权利要求2所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述一个或多个传感器(3)是光传感器。
8.根据权利要求1所述的触觉运动垫(1),还包括一个或多个发光元件(4)。
9.根据权利要求1所述的触觉运动垫(1),其中所述垫中的电路是柔性电路。
10.一种操作触觉运动垫(1)的方法,
所述触觉运动垫包括分布于其中的多个致动器(2),以及适于控制所述多个致动器的控制器,其中所述控制器访问为一个或多个用户限定了运动配置的预定致动器配置,并且其中所述多个致动器中的一个或多个根据预定致动器配置被控制;以及
其中所述运动配置使触觉运动垫上的一个区域与用户的一个身体部位相关联,并且其中根据所述运动配置(12、13)通过激发与身体部位相关联的触觉运动垫的区域内的致动器来操作所述触觉运动垫。
11.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述触觉运动垫(1)还包括一个或多个传感器(3),并且其中该方法还包括将所述一个或多个传感器的读数与预定致动器配置(14、16)相比较,从而产生差异测量,并将该差异测量输出至用户。
12.一种计算机程序产品,适于当在计算机上运行时执行根据权利要求10所述的方法。
