Description

Method and equipment for processing MDT information
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and a device for processing MDT information.
Background
In future mobile communication systems, it is hoped that manual participation in network planning and operation maintenance is reduced by introducing a network self-optimization mechanism, and parameters are automatically optimized by the network according to statistics, so that the construction and operation costs of the network are reduced. In order to reduce the operation and maintenance cost of the network, it is desirable to adopt a reporting method of a network configuration UE (User Equipment), reduce the work of manual drive test, and obtain wireless measurement information of an area that cannot be reached by ordinary drive test.
Based on the above purpose, MDT (Minimization Drive Test) technology is introduced into the LTE (Long Term Evolution ) system at present.
(1) MDT measurement classification
MDT measurements are classified into two types, Immediate MDT (Immediate minimization of drive tests) and Logged MDT (Logged minimization of drive tests):
the MDT measurement and report of the UE in the connected state, and once a report condition is met, the UE immediately reports a measurement result to an evolved Node B (eNB)/Radio Network Controller (RNC) in a form of multiplexing RRM (Radio Resource Management) measurement.
And the Logged MDT is used for carrying out MDT measurement in an idle state by the UE and reporting in a subsequent connection state, and once a configured trigger condition is met, a measurement result is obtained and stored (log) and is reported to the eNB/RNC at a subsequent proper time.
(2) MDT Log configuration
The Log configuration of MDT is delivered to UE by the network in a connected state, and is not expanded based on the existing RRM measurement, but a new configuration method is defined.
On the UE side, when the UE releases an RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection, the received MDT log configuration is not released at the same time, but the idle log measurement and measurement result collection are continuously reserved and started.
On the network side, for the Logged MDT, the network does not retain the context information of the MDT context, nor does the network side transfer the MDT context. When the RRC connection is released, the MDT context stored by the network side is also released at the same time.
(3) Log available indication
Under the condition of the Logged MDT, when the UE has an available Log, if the UE enters a connected state or moves to a new cell, the UE needs to report a Log available indication (Log available) to the network through a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling.
Taking an LTE system as an example, as shown in fig. 1, in the RRC connection establishment process, the UE first sends an RRCConnectionRequest message to the network side, and the network side sends an RRCConnectionSetup message to the UE; after the RRC connection is successfully established, the UE sends an RRCConnectionSetupComplete message to the network side, at this time, the RRCConnectionSetupComplete message carries indication information of whether the UE stores an available log, and after the network side receives the indication, the network side may subsequently request the UE to report the stored MDT measurement log result.
Similarly, in the LTE handover and reestablishment process, the UE may send the log available indication to the handover target cell/reestablished cell, and notify whether the new cell has an available log result at the UE.
In addition, in a UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System), if an SRNS relocation process occurs, the UE may also send a log available indication to the target cell.
(4) UE status for UMTS systems
The UE in the UMTS system has five states, which are a Cell _ DCH state (a state in which a dedicated channel is used for performing a communication process), a Cell _ FACH state (a state in which a dedicated channel is not required to be allocated and a message is transferred on a common FACH/RACH), a Cell _ PCH state (a state in which a paging indication message on a PICH channel is intercepted only in a downlink direction), a URA _ PCH state (a state in which reception is discontinuous and a PICH message is intercepted within a URA range), and an idle state, where the first four states belong to an RRC connected state, and a transition diagram between the states is shown in fig. 2. The UE in idle state can directly enter into CELL _ DCH state or CELL _ FACH state through RRC connection establishment procedure, and the UE in CELL _ DCH state or CELL _ FACH state can also enter into idle state through RRC connection release procedure.
In the prior art, it has been clear in the discussion of MDT that the CELL _ DCH state in UMTS is attributed to the immedate MDT, while the idle state is attributed to the logged MDT.
However, in the process of implementing the invention, the inventor finds that at least the following problems exist in the prior art:
the prior art does not relate to the way the UE handles MDT in the CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state and URA _ PCH state.

Detailed Description
The MDT technology is introduced in the LTE system, and it is determined in R10 that the MDT will adopt a control plane (control plane) architecture, which has an advantage that the base station can accurately control the UE. The adoption of the control plane architecture requires the use of an RRC signaling bearer network for the configuration of the UE and the reporting of the UE to the network. In the MDT technology, aiming at the problem that the prior art does not relate to the MDT processing mode of the UE in the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, and the URA _ PCH state, the network side cannot configure different MDT measurements for the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, and the URA _ PCH state.
For measurements in CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state and URA _ PCH state, if the measurements are classified as log MDT, the network cannot distinguish between measurement reports in CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state and URA _ PCH state, that is, the network cannot determine which measurements are measured in CELL _ FACH state, which measurements are measured in CELL _ PCH state and which measurements are measured in URA _ PCH state, but in the actual case that the same UE is in different states, the measurement results may be different.
In view of the above problems, embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for processing MDT information, so that according to characteristics of a UE state of a UMTS system, a network side can reasonably collect data of MDT according to a condition reported by the UE in a CELL _ FACH state, a CELL _ PCH state, and a URA _ PCH state.
The technical solutions in the present invention will be described clearly and completely with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only some embodiments of the present invention, not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for processing MDT information, as shown in fig. 3, including the following steps:
step 301, when the network side needs to know the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data, the user equipment obtains the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data. The user equipment states include: CELL _ FACH state; a CELL _ PCH state; URA _ PCH state; the Idle state.
Step 302, the ue sends the ue status corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The user equipment sends the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to a network side, and the method comprises the following steps: and the user equipment sends a measurement report carrying the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The ue sends a measurement report carrying a ue status corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side, including: when the user equipment carries out log MDT measurement in the state of the user equipment, the user equipment records the log MDT data and the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data; when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state (the specified state can be selected according to actual needs, for example, the specified state can be a CELL _ DCH state), the user equipment sends a log available indication to the network side; and when receiving a reporting instruction of the network side for the log MDT data, the user equipment sends a measurement report carrying the log MDT data and a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The user equipment sends the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to a network side, and the method comprises the following steps: and the user equipment sends the log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The user equipment sends log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side, and the method comprises the following steps: when the user equipment carries out logMDT measurement in the state of the user equipment, the user equipment records the log MDT data and the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data; and when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state, the user equipment sends the log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The user equipment sends log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side, and the method comprises the following steps: the user equipment sends log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side in the RRC connection process; or, the ue sends, through an X2 interface, a log available indication carrying a state of the ue corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side during handover.
It should be noted that the above processing procedure is a processing procedure when the network side needs to know the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data. In practical application, however, according to the needs of the network side, the network side can determine whether the network side needs to know the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data, thereby increasing the flexibility of the network side.
For example, when the network side only configures the UE to perform log MDT measurement in the URA _ PCH state, the UE only performs log MDT measurement in the URA _ PCH state, but does not perform log MDT measurement in other states (e.g., the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, the Idle state, etc.), so for log MDT data reported by the UE, the log MDT data is log MDT data in the URA _ PCH state, that is, the UE is not required to report a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data, the network side can also obtain the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data, and the network side does not need to obtain the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data (obtain from the user equipment side).
For another example, when the network side configures the UE to perform log MDT measurement in the URA _ PCH state and the Idle state, for log MDT data reported by the UE, the log MDT data is log MDT data in the URA _ PCH state or the Idle state, and when the UE does not report the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data, the network side may know that the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data is the URA _ PCH state or the Idle state, and if the network side does not need to distinguish the URA _ PCH state or the Idle state, the network side does not need to know the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data.
Therefore, when the network side does not need to know the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data and the user equipment is configured to perform log MDT measurement in the specified user equipment state, the user equipment sends the log MDT data corresponding to the specified user equipment state to the network side.
Further, when the network side configures the user equipment to perform logMDT measurement in a specified user equipment state, the user equipment performs log MDT measurement in the specified user equipment state according to the configuration condition of the network side, and records log MDT data;
when a network side needs to acquire the state of user equipment corresponding to log MDT data, the user equipment records the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data and executes the operation of sending the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side;
and when the network side does not need to know the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data, the user equipment executes the operation of sending the log MDT data corresponding to the specified user equipment state to the network side.
The user equipment sends the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side, and the method comprises the following steps: when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state, the user equipment sends a log available indication to the network side; when a reporting instruction aiming at the log MDT data of the network side is received, the user equipment sends a measurement report carrying the log MDT data and a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side; or, when the ue is transferred to a specific state, the ue sends the log available indication carrying the ue state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
It can be seen that, in the embodiment of the present invention, when log MDT measurement is performed, the network side can reasonably collect MDT data according to a situation reported by the UE by recording the states of the UE (e.g., CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state, URA _ PCH state, idle state, etc.) and sending the state of the UE corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
In order to more clearly illustrate the technical solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention, the following discusses the MDT information processing method in detail with reference to specific embodiments. The second embodiment of the invention provides a method for processing MDT information.
In the embodiment of the present invention, in order to enable the network side to know in which state the log MDT data is measured in the UE, the UE needs to acquire the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data, and send the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
In practical application, the method for the UE to send the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side may be arbitrarily selected according to actual needs, that is, the UE may select an arbitrary method to send the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side, as long as the UE state corresponding to the log MDT data can be sent to the network side.
The ue state may be one of a CELL _ FACH state, a CELL _ PCH state, a URA _ PCH state, and an Idle state, or any combination thereof.
In the second embodiment of the present invention, the UE sends the UE status corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side by carrying it in the measurement report.
Specifically, when the measurement report is reported, log MDT data measured by the UE needs to be carried in the measurement report, and at this time, only a corresponding user equipment state identifier needs to be added to the log MDT data. For example, in practical applications, assuming that 2 bits are used to set the identifiers 00, 01, 10, and 11 for the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, the URA _ PCH state, and the Idle state, respectively, log MDT data can be distinguished by using the identifier of the 2 bits.
For example, in the measurement report, when the identifier of log MDT data 1 is 00 and the identifier of log MDT data 2 is 11, the network side can determine that the log MDT data 1 is the log MDT data recorded in the CELL _ FACH state after receiving the measurement report; log MDT data 2 is log MDT data recorded in Idle state.
Certainly, in practical application, lbit can also be used to set identifiers for the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, the URA _ PCH state and the Idle state, the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state and the URA _ PCH state are represented by using an identifier 0, and the Idle state is represented by using an identifier 1; or, the CELL _ FACH state and the CELL _ PCH state are represented by using the identifier 0, and the Idle state and the URA _ PCH state are represented by using the identifier 1.
In summary, the method of adding the corresponding ue status identifier to the log MDT data can be arbitrarily selected according to actual needs.
Based on the above situation, in the embodiment of the present invention, the UE only carries the measurement report identifier for different states when reporting the measurement report, and in this case, the MDT in the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, and the URA _ PCH state can be classified as a logged MDT.
After the UE configures log MDT measurement, the UE needs to perform corresponding log MDT measurement in a CELL _ FACH state, a CELL _ PCH state, a URA _ PCH state, and an idle state, and the UE needs to record log MDT data obtained by measurement and a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data. For example, when the UE performs log MDT measurement in the CELL _ FACH state, the UE state corresponding to the recorded log MDT data is the CELL _ FACH state (recorded in the CELL _ FACH state identifier manner).
When the UE is transferred to the connected state, the UE needs to send a log availability indication (logchangeable) to the network side, and at this time, the network side can know whether corresponding log MDT data needs to be obtained from the UE according to its own needs, and if so, the network side can trigger the UE to report the logMDT data according to an actual situation.
When the UE receives a reporting instruction for log MDT data from the network side, the UE needs to report the log MDT data of each state in the reporting of logMDT, and carries a state identifier of the UE. Namely, the UE sends the measurement report carrying the log MDT data and the user equipment status corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The log MDT measurement is recorded by the UE in the CELL _ PCH state and idle state.
When the UE configures log MDT measurement, the UE performs corresponding log MDT measurement in both CELL _ PCH state and idle state, and the UE needs to record log MDT data in CELL _ PCH state and idle state and identify that the log MDT data is recorded in CELL _ PCH state (for example, 0 indicates that the log MDT data is recorded in CELL _ PCH state), or identify that the log MDT data is recorded in idle state (for example, 1 indicates that the log MDT data is recorded in CELL _ PCH state).
When the UE is switched to the connected state, the UE needs to send log available to the network side, and the network side can trigger the UE to report log MDT data according to the self needs. At this time, the UE needs to report log MDT data in the CELL _ PCH state and the idle state in a log MDT measurement report, and the measurement report needs to carry a UE status identifier corresponding to the log MDT data.
The third embodiment of the present invention provides a method for processing MDT information, which takes the example that UE carries the state of the UE corresponding to log MDT data in a log available indication and sends the log available indication to the network side.
Specifically, when reporting the log available indication, the ue state corresponding to the log MDT data needs to be added.
Based on the above situation, in the embodiment of the present invention, the UE only carries the measurement report identities for different states in the log available indication, and in this case, the MDTs in the CELL _ FACH state, the CELL _ PCH state, and the URA _ PCH state may be categorized as logged MDTs.
When the UE is transferred to the connected state (i.e. CELL _ DCH connected state), the UE needs to send a log available indication (log available) to the network side, and at this time, the UE needs to report the log available indication carried with the UE state identifier to the network side. Further, the network side can know whether to obtain the corresponding log MDT data from the UE according to its own needs, and if so, the network side can trigger the UE to report the log MDT data according to the actual situation.
In order to carry the user equipment state identifier in the log available indication, the existing logchangeable bit needs to be expanded, and as the user equipment state identifier only needs to use 2 bits, namely only the log available bit needs to be expanded into 4 states of the 2bit identifier.
When the UE receives a reporting instruction for log MDT data from the network side, the UE needs to report the log MDT data of each state in the reporting of logMDT, and carries a state identifier of the UE.
The UE sends a log available indication carrying a log MDT data corresponding to a UE status to a network side in an RRC connection process, and records logMDT measurement quantities in a CELL _ PCH state and an idle state.
After the UE configures log MDT measurement, the UE performs corresponding log MDT measurement in both CELL _ PCH state and idle state, and the UE needs to record log MDT data in CELL _ PCH state and idle state, and identify that the log MDT data is recorded in CELL _ PCH state, or identify that the log MDT data is recorded in idle state.
When performing RRC connection, the UE needs to report a log available indication to the network side, and the logchangeable bit needs to extend 2 bits to identify which log MDT data are recorded in the CELL _ PCH state, and which log MDT data are recorded in the idle.
Further, the network may trigger the UE to report which log MDT data (for example, report only log MDT data recorded in idle or report only log MDT data recorded in CELL _ PCH state) or trigger the UE to report all log MDT data according to the actual situation.
If the network side only triggers the UE to report log MDT data in the idle state, the UE only reports the log MDT data in the idle state, and if the network side triggers the UE to report all log MDT data, the UE needs to report the log MDT data in the idle state and the log MDT data recorded in the CELL _ PCH state and carries corresponding user equipment state identification.
The example is described in which the UE sends the log available indication carrying the state of the UE corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side through the X2 interface during the handover process, and the UE records the log MDT measurement quantity in the CELL _ PCH state and idle state.
When the network side judges that the UE needs to be switched, the context information of the UE context stored by the network side needs to be transmitted to the target network side through a switching preparation message. And then, the target network side issues a switching command to the UE through the source network side, and the UE is switched.
Therefore, when the UE has indicated that the network itself recorded valid log MDT data of different states, but the network has not yet sent and requested the UE to perform log MDT reporting, the source base station may notify the target base station through the network interface (X2 interface) that the UE recorded valid log MDT of different states.
The fourth embodiment of the present invention provides a method for processing MDT information, which takes the example of which user equipment states the network side configures the UE to perform log MDT measurement on as an example.
In the embodiment of the invention, the network side directly configures the user equipment state for which the UE carries out logMDT measurement. That is, the network side configures whether the UE needs log MDT measurements for CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state, URA _ PCH state, and idle state. The UE carries out corresponding log MDT measurement according to the configuration condition of the network side, and meanwhile, the UE can still report log available indications aiming at different states; and UE status identities that can carry these measurement reports in the measurement reports.
Specifically, a network side configures user equipment to perform log MDT measurement in the state of the user equipment; and then, the user equipment performs log MDT measurement on the state of the user equipment according to the configuration condition of the network side, and records log MDT data and the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data.
Further, when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state, the user equipment sends a log available indication to the network side; and when receiving a reporting instruction aiming at the log MDT data from the network side, the user equipment sends a measurement report carrying the log MDT data and the state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side. Or,
and when the user equipment is transferred to the designated state, the user equipment sends the log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The log MDT measurement for the UE in the CELL _ PCH state and idle state is exemplified by the network side configuration.
The network side performs log MDT measurement on the UE as follows: the UE is configured to only need log MDT measurements in CELL _ PCH state and idle state. At this time, the UE only carries out log MDT measurement in a CELL _ PCH state and an idle state, when the UE is switched to a URA _ PCH state and a CELL _ FACH state, the corresponding log MDT measurement is stopped, and at this time, the corresponding MDT duration timer can continue to operate or stop operating according to actual needs.
Further, the UE needs to record log MDT data of a CELL _ PCH state and an idle state and identify that the log MDT data is recorded in the CELL _ PCH state or that the log MDT data is recorded in the idle state.
It can be seen that, in each embodiment of the present invention, when log MDT measurement is performed, the network side can reasonably collect MDT data according to a condition reported by the UE by recording the states of the UE (e.g., CELL _ FACH state, CELL _ PCH state, URA _ PCH state, idle state, etc.) and sending the state of the UE corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
Based on the same inventive concept as the above method, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a user equipment, as shown in fig. 4, including:
and the processing module 11 is used for carrying out log MDT measurement and recording log MDT data.
And a sending module 12, configured to send the log MDT data to a network side.
The sending module 12 is configured to obtain a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data when a network side needs to obtain the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data; and sending the log MDT data and the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to a network side.
The sending module 12 is specifically configured to send a measurement report carrying a state of the user equipment corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The sending module 12 is further configured to record the log MDT data and the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data when the log MDT measurement is performed on the user equipment state;
when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state, sending a log available indication to the network side; and when a reporting instruction aiming at the log MDT data of the network side is received, sending a measurement report carrying the log MDT data and the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The sending module 12 is specifically configured to send a log available indication carrying a user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
The sending module 12 is further configured to record the log MDT data and the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data when the log MDT measurement is performed on the user equipment state;
and when the user equipment is transferred to a specified state, sending the log available indication carrying the user equipment state corresponding to the log MDT data to the network side.
