发明概要
本发明提供一种便携式电子成像装置,其包括:显示屏幕,用于显示包含 数字静止图像、视频剪辑、菜单项和图标的任何组合的对象;以及包含导航按 键的导航控制器,其用于允许用户在所显示的对象之间进行导航,其中用户可 以选择当前显示的对象而不需要从最后一次按压的导航按键上移动手指,从而 在单个控制器上实现导航和选择功能。在该优选实施例中,该便携式成像體 被设置为检测任何导航按歡的双击和按压-保持,其中,任一个或者全部两个 事件可以被解释成用户选择事件,其调用对于当前选择的(一个或多个)对象 的默认操作。
根据本文公开的方法和设备,本发明使得用户不需要使用选择按键,从而 «>了用户错误。此外,可以从體上完全消除选择按键,从而节省了装配有 导航控制器的驢上的空间。

本发明提供一种改进的方法和设备以用于实现便携式电子成像装置上的导 航和选择功能,这是通过提供一种执行导航和选择功能的多用途导航控制器来 实现的。在一个优选实施例中,所述便携式电子装置可以是育詢多显示图像的任 何装置,例如数字摄影机、具有摄影机的蜂窝电话、音乐播放器或PDA。但是, 在一个可选的实施例中,该便携式电子装置包含控制各成像装置的装置,例如 遥控器。

如果在步骤102中确定对于同一个按键的先前按压和当前键击之间的时间 短于所存储的双击时间58,但是在步骤106中确定最后几次按压不是在同一个 导航按键上执行的,则在步骤110中把当前键击解释为选择事件。在步骤112
中,装置50执行与当前选择的对象相关联的动作。
