Pressure roller smoothing device for circular bodies, especially stub axles. The invention relates to pressure roller smoothing devices for circular bodies rotatably mounted on the frame of the device on grain tips, in particular stub axles, and aims to ensure the most complete possible relief of the grain tips from the pressure of the pressure rollers arranged on the frame .
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention intended for smoothing the stub axles of a railway wheel set, namely: FIG. 1 shows a partially sectioned end view of the smoothing device, and FIG. 2 shows a section along line 2-2 of FIG 1, seen from the left.
On the frame A of the type of a lathe with a (not shown) spindle sto: ek and a tailstock A 'equipped smoothing device is a by means of a spindle C in the longitudinal direction of the device ver displaceable feed slide B is arranged. On the slide B, two supporting bodies D and E can be displaced perpendicular to the direction of movement of the slide B to opposite sides.
To move the support bodies D and E, a screw spindle F provided with right and left-hand threads is used, which is rotatably mounted in the carriage B and can be moved along its length within certain limits and engages in guide nuts d 'and cl, which are attached to the support bodies are. In one of the two support bodies, D, a pressure roller G is mounted, the axis of rotation of which is at the same height as the grain tips d and the direction of displacement of the carriage B is parallel.
In the other support body, E, a holder H for two further pressure rollers, J and K, is rotatably mounted by means of a pin e2, the axis of which is also at the same height as the grain tips ca 'and the direction of displacement of the carriage B is parallel whose axes are parallel to the axis of rotation of the roller G.
The wheel set, the steering knuckles of which are to be smoothed, is, as can be seen from FIG. 2, clamped between the grain tips a2 of the smoothing device and rotated by the headstock (not shown).
After the pressure rollers C, J and h are arranged on the trotting bodies D and F by means of the screw spindle h, the running surface of a steering knuckle to be smoothed has been pressed on, the pressure rollers are released from the rotating steering knuckle offset in rotation and guided along the running surface of the steering knuckle to be smoothed by the slide B, which is simultaneously moved by means of the spindle C in the longitudinal direction of the axle arm.
The described device first has the advantage that the desired smoothing can be achieved not only on the cylindrical outer surface of the axle stub, but also in the hollow fillets without further ado - with the corresponding design of the pressure rollers.
Furthermore, due to the bearings and rollers J and IL in the rotatable holder II and the ability to move the screw spindle T, there is the further advantage that it can be counted on with certainty that all three rollers ( G, J and IL) at the same time on the steering knuckle @ -en. In particular, this is also the case
if for example:'. As a result of the rotation axis of the chunk in the lateral aim of the sliding movement, a change occurs in the mutual height of the rollers and the grain tips, or if, for example, as a result of a belt pull or for any other reason which emerges from its central position.
The bleaching-time contact of the pressure rollers avoids the occurrence of one-sided pressure on the axillae and thus the most complete relief possible for the grain tips.
