Description
Portable cinematographic projection device. The object of the present invention is a portable cinematographic projection apparatus comprising a box divided into a series of separate compartments so as to isolate the projector device itself and the film from the light source and thereby prevent any possibility. contact between the film and the light source.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side elevation seen from the side of the three compartments of the projection apparatus; the doors have been removed to show the interior arrangement; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section, showing the doors in place; Fig. 3 is a front front view; Fig. 4 and 5 show the construction details of a universal mount of the light source; Fig. 6 and 7 are respectively a side and front elevation of a reflector, and fig. 8 shows details of a safety shutter.
In the drawings, the rectangular body 1 is divided longitudinally by the partition 2. Urt of the compartments thus formed is divided in turn into three compartments 3, 4 and 5. In the front compartment 3 is placed the headlight device d of a any type. The projection lens 7 is mounted in the box in line with the projector device. The rotary shutter 8 is placed on the axis 9 and is connected to a mechanism (the device by means of a suitable control.
This flap 8 and its pivot 9 can be detached and placed in the large compartment 10 when the device is not in use. This same compartment contains an electric motor 11 actuating the mechanism of the projection apparatus by means of the control belt 12.
In the rear compartment. 5 a reel, 13 receives the line as it unwinds. This spool is mounted on titi axis 14 rotating in titi pad fixed in the partition 2. This axis, by means of a friction clutch 16 and a chain 1.5. is controlled by the projection device.
The film 17, after having passed through the positive device 6, enters the passage 18 formed below the central compartment joined together sant the two end compartments. The rope, by the rollers 19, "suitably placed at the front and the rear said passage, passes through the latter to wind up on the spool 13 enclosed in the magazine 20 of the rear compartment 5 and that without leaving case 1 or be exposed to the lamp contained in compartment 4. After the film has completely wound up on the reel, the removable magazine containing the reel can be removed from compartment 5 and placed in safety.
The capacitor 21 is mounted, in the central compartment, on the partition separating the middle compartment from the front one, and in line with the projection lens of the front compartment. Behind this capacitor 21 is the light source 22, mounted on a universal joint (fig. 4 and 5). On a support 23 mounted on the partition separating the compartments 4 and 5 is clamped a vertical rod 24 by means of a screw, so that this rod can be fixed at any height. On this vertical rod 24 is mounted an arm 25, able to rotate and slide vertically on the rod 24.
The lamp holder 27 engages between the legs of the forked end 28 of the rod 25 and can rotate around the clamping screw 29. At the hub of this assembly the lamp can be placed suitably relative to the condenser 21 .
Behind the lamp 22 and on the partition separating the compartments 4 and 5 is mounted by means of the tabs 31 a concave mirror 30. FIGS. 6 and 7 show the details of this assembly. The legs 31 are crossed by the bolts 32. On these bolts and behind the legs are placed springs 33, while before the legs are the spacers 34 held by the nuts -35. The position of the mirror is adjusted by tightening these nuts more or less.
The central compartment 4 is provided with a door 36, sliding vertically between the guides 37, so that, when the door is closed, the compartment 4 is completely isolated from the compartments 3 and 5 and from their communication passage 18.
Guides 37 serve as hinges for doors 38 and 39, which respectively close compartments 3 and 5.
The box 40 containing the reel 41 on which the film is wound before it passes through the projector is mounted, when the apparatus is used, on the front end of the box 1. This box 40 is provided with an opening 42, corresponding to the opening 43 made in the upper wall of the box 1 and giving access to the compartment 3.
Fig. 8. shows in detail the safety shutter which intercepts the light in the event that. the part of the film between the control gear and the projection window would become too large. A member 44 which can rotate around 45 encloses said portion of film. If this portion becomes large, it abuts against 44. Then the shutter 47, suspended from 44 by means of the wires 48, is lifted in turn and comes between the light and the film. This movement can be used to stop the motor 11.
